20 Years Adrift
Chapters 109. Born safely

After all the items were neatly arranged in the car, Affan and Aira immediately got into the car. They left first without Faya because she would go in her own car.

Aira increasingly felt excessive heartburn and made her have to grimace to withstand the pain. Every ten minutes she has a contraction.

"Patience, yes, dear. I can't stand to see you in pain like this." Affan stroked the head of Aira who kept dhikr every time her stomach tightened.

"Yes, Mas. May it be made easier by God," said Aira trying to look strong amid the pain that befell him.

Not long after, they arrived at the hospital they were going to. Mr. Sapto brought his car near the IGD room to make it easier for nurses to bring Aira into the examination room.

Affan helps Aira to sit in a wheelchair and follows the nurse taking her to the delivery room. In contrast to ordinary patients who have to pass the examination, specifically for their delivery directly bring it to the delivery room.

A guard doctor immediately headed to Aira's room and examined her. Aira's opening was not complete so she asked him to wait a while longer.

Affan did not move from Aira's side and continued to be there. Both of them continued to pray while waiting for the birth process.

The doctor and midwife who handled Aira looked so alert. They prepare the tools and everything necessary in the process of birth.

Outside the room, Faya and Bi Sumi were also pounding waiting for the birth of Affan's second child. They looked anxious but did not stop praying.

"Bi, I'm scared. It must be that giving birth was very painful." Faya hugged Bi Sumi with a restless face.

"Not to be afraid, Nope. That is why women have a high position in the eyes of God. I hope Lady Aira gets through this well. The mother and baby are all healthy." Bi Sumi stroked Faya's head covered in hijab.

Faya nodded and tried to calm down. They were anxiously waiting for someone to come out of Aira's delivery room.

Faya's phone kept ringing. Actually today he had to go to the campus to take on the assignment from Mr. Rendi. Faya asked for permission and said she was in the hospital.

Aldo plans to visit Faya there. Unexpectedly, Mr. Rendi also wanted to join the group. The confusing news makes them not know for sure how Faya is currently doing.

After waiting for quite a while finally a nurse came out from inside the birthing room of Aira. When the door opened slightly, Faya and Bi Sumi heard the sound of babies crying. This means if Aira has given birth.

"How's my mom and baby doing, Sus?" asked Faya who immediately got up from her seat when she saw the door open from inside.

The nurse smiled and made Faya feel a little relieved. Bi Sumi also did not want to miss and soon after Faya reported the situation of Aira.

""Allah is healthy. The doctor is treating them. Excuse me first, there are some things I have to work on." The nurse nodded politely before leaving Faya.

After Aira and the baby were cleared, the two of them were transferred to the treatment room. Affan held the baby with a happy feeling.

"Dad, my little brother, what name do we give him?" faya asked as she followed her father while Bi Sumi walked over to Aira who was being pushed faster in front.

"Your father and mother agreed to name Fatih Al Furqon." Affan mentioned the name of his little baby.

"Well, cool. Perfect fit for my handsome brother." Faya was very happy.

On the way, they saw the group of friends of the campus Faya and Pak Rendi.

"Why did they come to the hospital? Are they looking for me?" Faya looks astonished.

Affan who did not know him looked at Faya questioningly. Seeing Faya's astonished face made him even more sure if his friends came without preaching it first.

"They're your friends, honey?" affan asked softly when they were already facing each other.

Faya nodded.

"Are you okay, Faya?" ask one of Faya's friends and then pulled back by the other friend.

"Assalamu'alaikum, sir, Faya. I'm a lecturer teaching today who wants to know about Faya. According to her friends, Faya's permission for being in the hospital, we think she's sick today." Mr. Rendi explained the intent of their arrival.

"Wa'alaikum greetings" Affan and Faya answered almost simultaneously.

"No, Sir. Faya's in the hospital to accompany my wife to give birth." Mr. Affan looked at his sleeping baby boy in his carrier.

"Oh, so that's like a story. Congratulations on the birth of his son, sir. May be a sholeh child." Mr. Rendi was followed by Faya's friends congratulating him.

They then visited Aira who had been in the treatment room.

Affan felt there was something different from Faya's guidance counselor. However, he did not want to guess.
