20 Years Adrift

20 Years Adrift
Chapter 73. Regretting

The waiters at the depot were gossiping to each other. They didn't want to see Affan and Aira stay longer there. Orders that were supposed to be eaten there they were wrapped up to be taken away.

After the order was completed, one of the waiters delivered fruit soup and salad to Affan's table. The waiter who delivers is different from the waiter who receives the order but has an equally sexy appearance.

The legs of the servant level are exposed to the top of the knee with a loose cut short skirt. For her boss she wore a tight short-sleeved shirt. If you look around the waiter looks like a Japanese anime character who is cosplaying.

"This is the order, miss. And here's the bill." The waiter placed Aira and Affan's order on the table and handed him a piece of note paper.

Aira looked at the waiter then looked at Affan questioningly. At the time of booking he felt he did not say if the fruit soup and salad ordered was not to be eaten there.

Affan stood up and took out his business card.

"It turns out not only your clothes are not polite, your attitude is also. I have no cash, please give this business card to the tenant of this kiosk. I'm waiting in my room." Affan puts his cards on the table and takes Aira's hand.

Aira was still shocked by what she had just experienced. He can't dwell and admits that Affan has incredible decisiveness. Behind his gentle and loving nature, he had a stern nature that made his opponent's guts shrink.

"We'll just go back to your room, Mas," Aira said as they reached outside the fruit ice depot.

"You can buy another. Sorry if my attitude makes you uncomfortable. I can't stand it, fruit soup salesman just so disrespectful." Affan's face still looked annoyed. Hard to believe, he seemed to be being driven out in his own territory.

"I just want this salad. We'll just eat in your room." Aira smile.

Aira's smile is a heart-conditioning for Affan. Seeing the happy face of his little wife, the resentment that enveloped his heart slowly eroded.

The servant serving Aira and Affan were stunned staring at the departure of the two. After drifting away and not being seen again, he just glanced at the business card left by Affan. The position of the business card that is face down makes it unable to see the name of the owner.

Two other servants came to gossip. One of them immediately draws Affan's card and opens it.

The waiter rounded his eyes and looked trembling. His other hand shut his mouth spontaneously. He did not know if after this they could still sell in this place or not.

"Why, Rein?" ask the waiter who has been upset with Affan since.

The waiter called Rein handed Affan a business card. They see him together and feel shocked when they realize the reality in which he has offended the owner of the company where they are scavenging for sustenance.

One by one they dropped his body on the chair surrounding a table. I don't know what will happen after this. They are very sorry for what they have done.

"It's nasty! This effort is quite promising. In a day we can pocket a turnover that is not small. It seems like all of that will soon be just a memory." One of the servants spoke while leaning back. His body felt limp as if it was not boned.

"We just let go. How else, we're wrong."

"Open a business elsewhere will not necessarily be this crowded. We'd better apologize first, who knows Mr. Affan will forgive us."

The other waiter agreed. If necessary they will beg Affan not to be forced to close his business.

Just a month open, the capital they spent has returned. It was a pity if they had to stop and lose their livelihood after this.

Elsewhere, Aira and Affan are in an elevator that takes them to Affan's room. Affan looked calmer and forgot about the incident. To him this was just a small matter that needed no thought.

"Mas" call Aira.

"Yes, dear," Affan replied as he looked gently at Aira.

There was no one else in the elevator that they were using. It's just the two of them.

"May I ask you something?" ask Aira riddled.

"Tell me, honey. As long as I can give it to you, I'll give it."

Aira smile. There was doubt in his heart but he would still say what he wanted to say. She did not want her husband to use his power to persecute others.

"Look, Mas. It's about this salad seller." Aira raised the salad and fruit soup in her hands.

"Yes, what happened to the ice seller?" Affan did not understand where Aira was going.

"They must have a family. We don't know their true background. I do not justify their dress and their disrespectful attitude, I hope that Mas Affan does not immediately take cruel action on them. Give them at least one chance to change. If you can't be warned anymore, Mas Affan can ask them to close his business." Aira spoke very eloquently.

"I actually think so too. Everyone has a good side and a bad side. I just want them to respect themselves by dressing more modestly. Maybe they kicked us out for being offended by what I said."

Affan's reply made Aira feel relieved. At first he thought that Affan would crack down on the owner of the fruit ice depot and revoke his sales license. It turned out that her husband was only bullying them.

"Thank you, Mom. Honestly, as a fellow woman I feel sorry for their appearance but we cannot judge the goodness of someone just from the outside. Perhaps they also have minimal knowledge of the science of religion or the influence of the environment in which they live." Aira added.

Affan felt anxious with Aira which always made him feel amazed. He was grateful in his long wait, God sent the sholihah companion as he wished.

"My little wife is getting smarter. You are the best, my dear." Affan kissed the back of Aira's hand he was holding.

The elevator they were using was open. Their journey felt so short. They were already on the floor where Affan's room was in an instant.

Aira and Affan several times cross paths with company employees who are working. They greeted both of them politely.

In the distance, Bimo was walking quickly towards the two with a tense face. Affan and Aira looked at each other, they sped up their steps to meet Bimo.
