The Death
Before continuing on the story of Sayyidah Khadijah's death in the month of Ramadan, it is better to know first who Khadijah is. Khadija is a woman who will never be replaced in the heart of the Prophet. She was the first woman to accompany the Apostle at a time when many doubted and even condemned her. Qatadah, Az-Zuhri, ‘Abdullah bin Muhammad bin ‘Aqil, Ibn Ishaq stated, “Khadijah was the first person to believe in Allah from both men and women and no one stated otherwise.”
Ibnul Atsir stated, “Khadijah is the one that Allah set to convert to Islam first, neither men nor women preceded him.” (Dinukil of Umahat Al-Mukminin, p. 174).
Imam Adz-Dzahabi stated also, “Khadijah Ummul Mukminin was the first to believe in (teaching) the apostle Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and justify it before others.” (Siyar A’lam An-Nubala’, 2:109)
Khadijah was the most noble and beloved wife of the Apostle. The apostle was so flattering to the glory of Khadijah that he made his other wife feel jealous. Aisyah radhiyallahu ‘anha once told,
كَانَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- إِذَا ذَكَرَ خَدِيجَةَ أَثْنَى عَلَيْهَا فَأَحْسَنَ الثَّنَاءَ – قَالَتْ – فَغِرْتُ يَوْماً فَقُلْتُ مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَذْكُرُهَا حَمْرَاءَ الشِّدْقِ قَدْ أَبْدَلَكَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهَا خَيْراً مِنْهَا. قَالَ « مَا أَبْدَلَنِى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَيْراً مِنْهَا قَدْ آمَنَتْ بِى إِذْ كَفَرَ بِى النَّاسُ وَصَدَّقَتْنِى إِذْ كَذَّبَنِى النَّاسُ وَوَاسَتْنِى بِمَالِهَا إِذْ حَرَمَنِى النَّاسُ وَرَزَقَنِى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَدَهَا إِذْ حَرَمَنِى أَوْلاَدَ النِّسَاءِ »
The prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam when telling Khadijah surely he always flattered him with beautiful flattery. Aisyah said, “One day I was jealous.” She said, “Too often you mention her, she is an old woman. Though Allah has replaced him for you with a woman better than him.”
The Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ and said, “God did not replace him with a woman better than him. He has believed in me when the unbelievers have confirmed to me when the people deny me, he has helped me with his wealth when the people withhold his property do not help me, and Allah has bestowed upon her children when Allah has not bestowed upon me the children of other women.” (CHR. Ahmad, 6:117. Shaykh Shuaib Al-Arnauth states that this hadith is shahih.)
As Ibrahim Muhammad Hasan al-Jamal explained in Khadijah (2014), "Sayyidah Khadijah only dhikr to Allah, asking for His forgiveness, expecting His pleasure and mercy, and emptied his heart of all things worldly. While the Prophet Muhammad faithfully and affectionately waited for his heart which was lying sick. No other words came out of his mouth except a prayer of kindness to Sayyidah Khadijah.
"When the death of Sayyidah Khadijah was near, his closest people, family, and relatives were present to ease his encounter with Allah.
"Some time before she died, the first woman to acknowledge Muhammad's prophethood made her final wish. 'O Prophet I ask you for forgiveness, if as long as I am your wife I have not been devoted to you,' khadijah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ quoted by Tim Hikmah detikcom from Kitab Al-Busyro fi manaqib sayyidati khodijah Al Kubro page 16.
"Hearing the words of his wife, the Prophet replied, Far from that Khadijah. You have fully supported the preaching of Islam.'"
In the moments when Khadijah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ felt her death was drawing near, the noble woman called Fathimah Az-zahra ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ & whispered, “Fathimah my daughter, I am sure my death will soon come, what I fear is the torment of the grave. Please ask your father, I am ashamed and afraid to ask him myself, that he give his usual torment to receive revelation to be made my shroud.”
Hearing Khadijah Qattan ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ answered, '"Wahai Khadija, Allah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ 'Have you been prepared for your place in heaven."
Seeing the tears of the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ came down, crying also all those who were there. At that time, the US Archangel Gabriel descended from the sky with a greeting and brought five shrouds.
The Prophet answered Jibril AS's greeting and then asked. “For whom is the shroud, O Jibril?”, Jibril replied, “This forgiveness is for Khadijah, for thee O Messenger of Allah, for Fatima, Ali, and Hasan,”. Then Gabriel stopped saying and cried.
The Prophet asked, "Why Jibril?" “Your one grandson, Husain (Sayyidina Ali's Son) does not have a shroud, he will be slaughtered and lying without a shroud and not bathed,” Jibril said.
The Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ said near Khadijah's body. "Wahai Khadija, my dear wife, by Allah, I will never have a wife like you. Your devotion to Islam and myself is incredible. Allah is All-Knowing of your deeds.
"All of your wealth is devoted to Islam. Muslims also enjoy it. All these clothes of Muslims and my clothes are also from you. However, why is your last request to me just a turban?”
Sobbed by the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ The wife in her life. All the wealth Khadijah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ was given to the Islamic struggle. Two-thirds of Mecca's wealth belongs to Qighthou's Khadijah. But when Khadijah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ no shroud can be used to cover Khadijah. Even the clothes used by Khadijah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ were very shabby clothes with 83 patches of them with bark.
Allah's Apostle .
“Yes Allah, O Divine Rabbi, bestow Your mercy on my Khadijah, who always help me in establishing Islam. Trusting me when others are against me. Pleased me when others troubled me. Relaxing me when others make me nervous. Oh Khadija, you left me alone in my struggle. Who else will help me?"
Sayyidina Ali suddenly said,
“I, Yes Rasulullah!”
The Ummul Mukminin died when he was 65 years old.After the age of 65 years, or three years before the Prophet's emigration, Khadijah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ). The death of Qonde ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ made the Prophet sad. Has gone his true friend in life to see Rabb. The Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ Call the year Siti Khadijah died ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ “Year of sorrow”.
Thus the story of the death of Ummul Mukminin Khadijah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ in Ramadan. Ummul Mukminin Khadijah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ This is a noble woman in heaven . May we all imitate the glory of Ummul Mukminin Khadijah.
