In Islam, the hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ from the city of Mecca to Medina became an important event the starting point of the development of Islamic religious teachings. Where the Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ has difficulty with the resistance and rejection of the infidels of Quraysh.
The story of the hijrah of the Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ This is full of challenges. Hijrah was done because of the preaching done by Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ The Quraysh continued to face opposition and attacks until the killing of the people. They increasingly hate the exhortation of the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ) to believe in Allah .
Initially, in 620 AD, Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ met six Yastrib (Madinah) from Kabilah Khazraj who made a pilgrimage to Mecca.
During the meeting, Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ invited them to convert to Islam. They welcomed the call and declared their conversion to Islam. They also told about Islam to the other Yathrib people.
In 621 AD, a Muslim Yathrib and 6 other friends as messengers Kabilah Khazraj and Aus came to the Prophet Muhammad.
The six men converted to Islam and made a covenant in a place called Aqabah. The content of the covenant: “We will not associate God with anything else. We will not steal, fornicate, and kill children. We will not slander each other and we will not disobey Prophet Muhammad"
Furthermore, in 622 AD, the people of Yathrib came again with the intention of making the agreement of Aqabah 2 and invited Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ to Yathrib. The Treaty of Aqabah 2, followed by 75 Yathrib (There are also 70 people) and Prophet Muhammad.
The content of the agreement is the same as the previous one, but the number of participants who converted to Islam is increasing. In the two treaties that occurred, the Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ The Islamic faith is ready to grow rapidly.
Starting hijrah Since the baiat aqabah kubra, the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ Ptsir has succeeded in laying a solid foundation not only in Makkah, but also in Yathrib. From then on, Allah ⁇ Hit ⁇ Hittleythoptshi began to allow Muslims to migrate to Yathrib to avoid the pressures of the polytheists and to build a new ecosystem that promised to raise Islam.
Even so, the decision to hijrah has enormous consequences. In addition to having to abandon all Muslim wealth assets in Makkah, it must also be prepared to receive a dangerous and risky response from the polytheists. Safyurrahman al-Mubarakfuri in Rahiqul Makhtum explains:
ولم يكن معنى الهجرة إلا إهدار المصالح، والتضحية بالأموال، والنجاة بالشخص فحسب، مع الإشعار بأنه مستباح منهوب، قد يهلك في أوائل الطريق أو نهايتها، وبأنه يسير نحو مستقبل مبهم، لا يدري ما يتمخض عنه من قلاقل وأحزان.
That is: “Hijrah is not limited to ignoring interests, sacrificing property, and saving personal lives, after their rights are taken away, many of them, but they must also be ready if they have to perish at the beginning of the hijrah or at the end. This hijrah also describes the future that is not yet clear, they do not know what suffering will befall after that. (Safyurrahman al-Mubarakfuri, p. 142)
Sure enough, after the Prophet had succeeded in sending the companions to Yathrib, the polytheists went up black instead of dumbass. This hijrah event has succeeded in making the idolaters feel worried. Because, with this step means that Muslim groups are increasingly militant, not to mention Yathrib which is used as a hijrah location is a very strategic place, he said, included in the economic aspect because it became a trade caravan route that passed the Red Sea coast to Sham. (Safyurrahman al-Mubarakfuri, p. 142)
It is important to note, at that time all Muslims had successfully migrated to Medina, except for a few who managed to be detained by the idolaters. The positions of the Prophet, Abu Bakr, and Ali are also still in Makkah, waiting for the blessing of Allah to also emigrate. (Abdussalam Harun, Tahdzibus Siva Ibn Hisham, [Water: Muassasah ar-Risalah, 1985], p. 110)
Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ received a revelation from Allah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ Through the angel of Gabriel the US, which contained notices about the conspiracies of the polytheists and permission from Allah to Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ He had to migrate to Yathrib or Madinah.
In the heat of the day, the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ to jointly agree on the stages of hijrah. After discussing with Abu Bakr, then Prophet Muhammad ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ , waiting for the coming of night to start the hijrah.
On Thursday the 26th of Shafar the 14th year of the nubuwah, or on September 12, 622 AD (roughly two months after the events of Baiat Aqabah Kubra), the, the polytheists held a meeting of members of the Makkah Parliament in Darun Nadwah which was attended by representatives of every tribe from the tribe of Quraysh. Here are the names of these people:
Abu Jahl ibn Hisham of the tribe of the Banu Makhzum
Jubair bin Muth’im and Thu’aimah bin Adi and Al-Harith bin Amir from Bani Naufal bin Abdi Manaf.
An-Nadhr bin Al-Harith of Bani Abdid-Dar, who once thrust the entrails of animals that had been slaughtered to the Prophet Muhammad.
Abul Bakhtari bin Hisham, Zam’ah bin Al-Aswad and Hakim bin Hizam from Bani Asad bin Abdul Uzza.
Nubih and Munabbih, sons of Al-Hajjaj of Bani Sahm.
Umayyah ibn Khalaf of Bani Jumah.
The result of the meeting decided that each of the tribes appointed a young man who was mighty, bloody, and able to mediate. After the young men succeeded in killing Muhammad, then Bani Abdi Manaf (supportant of Muhammad) would not be able to fight because if they fight it is the same Bani Abdi Manaf must fight all tribes.
When night fell, they gathered at the door of the Prophet's house ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ woke up, so they could ambush him. The custom that the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ did was to sleep at the beginning of the night and go out to the Grand Mosque after the middle or two thirds to pray there.
At that time the heathen of Quraysh was absolutely certain that his wicked plan would come to fruition. This made Abu Jahl stand upright full of arrogance and arrogance.
The execution time they planned was after midnight when the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ came out of the house to pray in the Grand Mosque. They passed the night on guard while waiting for midnight to arrive.
However, Allah is All-Powerful over all, Allah is All-Protecting and no one can protect but Him. Allah keeps His word to the Messenger of Allah, ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ After that:
وَاِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِيُثْبِتُوْكَ اَوْ يَقْتُلُوْكَ اَوْ يُخْرِجُوْكَۗ وَيَمْكُرُوْنَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللّٰهُ ۗوَاللّٰهُ خَيْرُ الْمٰكِرِيْنَ “
It means: cDan (remember), when the disbelievers (Quraish) think of deceit against you (Muhammad) to arrest and imprison you or kill you, or expel you. They make deceit and God thwarts it. Allah is the best avenger of deceit.” (QS Al Anfal :30)
The Prophet left his house, even though the preparations made by the Quraish infidels besieged the house of the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ Strictly.
On that night, the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ That night, said to Ali ibn Abu Talib, “Sleep on my bed, cover it with this green burdah from Hadramaut of mine. Use it for your sleep, for there will be nothing you hate of those who can reach you.”
After that, the Prophet of Allah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ 'the Quraysh. He picked up a pile of earth from Al-Bathha’, then sprinkled it towards their heads.
At that time, Allah had taken away their eyes from seeing him, so that they could not see him out of the house. While he read his word:
وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْۢ بَيْنِ اَيْدِيْهِمْ سَدًّا وَّمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَاَغْشَيْنٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُوْنَ
“And We made before them a bulkhead (wall) and behind them also a bulkhead, and We closed (eye) them so that they could not see.” (Yasin QS: 9)
Then the Prophet.
