Speaking of Mukzijat Rasulullah. On this occasion the Author will only review three massages.

After the Jews lost the Battle of Khaibar, then surrendered, the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ The Jews gave them the freedom to remain in their native lands, and to continue their agriculture. It is just that, in accordance with the agreement they have made; between Muslims and Jews, Muslims are entitled to receive a portion of their agricultural produce.

Shaykh Said Ramadhan al-Buthi mentions, after a state of calm, the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ received a gift from a Jewish woman named Zainab bint Harith, the wife of Salam bin Masykum, in the form of baked lamb. But before the dish was given to him, Zainab asked the companions which part of the lamb the Prophet liked most.

The friends certainly know very well, namely the front thigh. A moment later, Zainab prepared the thigh to be served to him. It's just that the very cunning Jewish woman interfered with all the food with poison. In fact, the Prophet's part ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ He mixed with a mixture of more poison than others.

The poisonous food given to the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ After her husband was killed in the battle of Khaibar. Zainab had no other way to kill the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ , other than by giving poisoned food.

The apostle of Allah, ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ The apostle, sat beside the friend of Bashar ibn Barra ibn Marur, when the food was served to him and the companions.

After all the food was ready to be eaten, the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ took the quads of the roasted sheep, and put some of the meat into the mouth of the Prophet, but did not swallow them.

At the same time, Bashar bin Barra directly ate meat mixed with the poison. It was then that the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ , revealed his miracle. Shaykh al-Buthi said:

إِنَّ هَذَا الْعَظْمَ لَيُخْبِرَنِي أَنّهُ مَسْمُومٌ

That is, “Really, this meat has told me, it has been (mixed) with poison.” (Sheikh Al-Buthi, Fiqhus Sirah Nabawiyah ma’a Mujazin li Tarikhil Khilafatir Rashidah, [Bairut, Darul Fikr, Fourth print: 2019], page 262).

That is one of the miracles of the Prophet. The dead animal even cooked once told him that the meat to be eaten had been mixed with poison. This is certainly not separated from the care of Allah ⁇ Hittlets, directly to His Apostle.

Shaykh ‘Alauddin Ali bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Baghdadi, or also known as Sheikh al-Khazin (died 741 H), said, after this incident the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ Call Zainab, and ask all these vile deeds of his. The Jewish woman also confessed her evil deeds.

The apostle of Allah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ Why did you do it?“ Zainab answered,

That is, “(Zainab) said, 'It has come from my people everything about you. So I said to them, 'If indeed he (Rasulullah) was a king, he would have died (with poisoned food). However, if indeed he was a prophet, he would definitely be told.'” (Sheikh al-Khazin, Tafsir Lubabut Ta’wil fi Ma’anit Tanzil, [Bairut, Darul Fikr, first print: 1992, tahqiq: Sheikh Muhammad ‘Ali], juz VI, page 201).

After Zainab confessed to all her work and fatal actions, it turned out that the Prophet gave her forgiveness, even though it made Bashar bin Barra killed because he had swallowed the poisonous lamb he served.

But it turns out, the decision of the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ contains a very extraordinary wisdom, in which the intellect of one friend does not reach him.

Shaykh Shafiyurrahman al-Mubarakfuri said in his book, the verdict of the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ At that time there was a difference of opinion among the scholars of history, concerning the fate of women who had just converted to Islam after the event had passed.

Whether Zainab was sentenced to death, as qishash (punishment) for the death of Bashar, or was pardoned without having to get the death penalty. Ibn Sa’d stated, The Prophet gave Zainab to the family of Bashar, and they sentenced the woman to death.

However, it is a more shahih opinion as the Muslim Imam mentioned, that the Prophet said to Zainab, “Allah cannot give you the ability to kill me.”

At that time the Companions asked, “Are we going to execute this woman, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet replied, “No.” (Al-Mubarakfuri, ar-Rahiqul Makhtum, [Wazaratul Auqaf, Qatar: 2007], page 364).

The Wisdom Behind the Attempted Murder of the Prophet through the Poison of Shaykh Said Ramadhan al-Buthi in his sirah said, there is extraordinary wisdom behind this incident, namely: the events of the revelation that told the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ) about the poison in the lamb that He would.

Only, on the decree that Allah has outlined, Bashar bin Barra first swallowed the poisonous flesh before the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ told them that the meat they would eat was laced with poison. Bashar was also killed.

According to al-Buthi, this event gave an understanding and confidence about how strong the care of Allah ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ against the prophet and His apostle from the evils and deceits of those who wanted to do evil to him.

This is a clear proof of the truth of the Quran which reads:

وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ

That is, “God keeps you from (disturbance) humans. Verily, Allah guides not the disbelievers.” (Letter Al-Ma’idah).

However, as already mentioned, historical scholars differ as to whether the Jewish women who poisoned the Prophet. The majority of scholars state that the woman did not get the qishash law as explained above.

According to Al-Buthi, if referring to the opinion of the majority of the above scholars, it is very appropriate if it is said that the punishment of qishash becomes not applicable to him, because there is a rule that has been agreed upon by the majority of scholars, namely:

الإِسْلاَمَ يَجُبُّ مَا قَبْلَهُ، وَإِنَّ اللهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ التِي ارْتَكَبُوهَا مِنْ قَبْلُ

That is, the “(Loof) Islam that erases all previous sins. Verily Allah forgives the sins committed by them before converting to Islam.” (Al-Buthi, 2019:263).

From the above rules can be concluded, all that must get the law of qishash is murder committed by someone who has embraced Islam.

If the person who committed the murder was a non-Muslim, it is considered a hierabah (attack). Whereas (sanctions) attacks, as it is known, can fall by itself if the person who does it converts to Islam.
