A Little Hope For Ashma

A Little Hope For Ashma
20. Can I call you 'Mas'?

Adam is intrigued by Ashma's question, seeing the woman's wish for her past Adam decides to tell her. Adam also does not want to close again, let Ashma know so that the woman is not always fussy asking.

"That son of a bitch is Lily's husband,"

Ashma is shocked to hear Adam's words, which she knows from Adam's mouth that Lily was his lover but how can she have a husband while Adam alone looks so love dead.

"You're having an affair with Lily?" Ashma asked suspiciously. Adam shook his head strongly.

"He took Lily from me!" Adam showed a sarcastic face as if his enemy were in front of him.

"But Lily chose him instead and dumped me. He canceled our marriage all of a sudden and I found the painful news that they were married,"

"I thought Lily betrayed me, but she was willing to sacrifice her life just to save me from Edward." Adam continued with a feeling of anger.

Ashma heard it carefully. "I was so stupid at the time, my Lily took my life trying to save me from the bullet Edward wanted to shoot that should have hit me."

"He died at that moment, with a sweet smile that adorned his face as if to imply meaningfully."

"Since then I've lost a part of my life, and promised to avenge the pain Lily has been through, I'll never let Edward go!"

The look on Adam's face was so starkly swooping in anger and loss, reflecting the depth of the pain in his heart. Every word spoken felt like a punch, reminding him of the beautiful memories that were now in ruins. He felt a heavy weight on his chest, as if his heart had been shattered into tiny fragments from such a deep loss.

Ashma also felt heartbroken, she must be able to accept that Adam has not been able to make peace with his past. With a firmness of heart, Ashma gave a small smile and cupped Adam's jaws full of tenderness.

"So this is why you wanted to save me Adam. I know, losing someone you care about so much must be very painful. Now that I understand so much of your love for Lily, I don't seem to have a chance to fill your heart, either" Ashma's chest tightened up and said the contents of her heart so late.

"But I beg you, in accordance with what you promised, that after one year of our marriage covenant then we will be divorced. Therefore please allow me to fulfill my obligations as a wife, as long as our marriage contract is not completed."

Adam was stunned to hear Ashma's words, the woman was so stoic that Adam knew she had hurt him.

"I promise I won't ask for anything after this one year, and when the time comes, please return me with your promise that you always say over and over again." Ashma continued her words with tears in her eyes.

"I drew my words that wanted to fight for the trinkets

CUPPS

Adam silenced Ashma's mouth immediately, not allowing his wife to speak. Ashma felt that chewy thing on her lips. Her tears shed along with the pain, like there was a sharp thorn piercing through her heart.

Adam cupped Ashma's cheeks together and wiped her tears. Adam did not want to hear the next words from Ashma's mouth, for some reason he did not like Ashma saying that when of course it was his promise that he had said just that Adam suddenly did not like it.

"I'm sorry Ashma. To be honest the first time I saw you on the plane I thought of Lily, your face was at first glance similar to her but I knew it wasn't her. I also never thought, fate even ensnared us together. I don't know what God planned for me to bring you."

"I swear I'll protect you from Edward, he can't take mine anymore!" Adam said so well. A rascal like Edward must feel punishment and suffering, Adam will make sure all that happens.

Ashma smiled bitterly, her relationship with Adam is really very complicated. The man always paid more attention to Ashma whereas he also had a promise to return Ashma after one year. Ashma is only afraid she will fall in love with Adam if it continues like this.

Even so, a faint smile was etched on Ashma's face, trying to hide her hurt feelings with the twinkle of lies that carved her pretty face.

"Adam, if I may, can I call you 'Mas'?" Ashma is looking for other topics to reduce the sadness and runnyam of their current household problems.

Adam also who does not want to dissolve in his anger and sadness also silenced himself and immediately answered Ashma's wishes.

"Mass?" Adam was confused by the name, he had never heard of it before but sounded very romantic in his ears.

Ashma chuckled slightly to find Adam's confused face. "Sort of a special call for a husband, well Indonesians used to call it that to her husband."

Adam soon had a small beard after hearing the explanation from Ashma.

"I love that call, it sounds romantic."

Ashma who got the approval from Adam smiled happily, "thank you, ma'am,"

There are thousands of butterflies tickling Adam's stomach, when Ashma calls him that and Adam likes him very much.

"Tell me again" Adam heard his new call from Ashma.

Ashma chuckled amusedly, "thank you Adam..."

Adam, who was about to pull Ashma into his arms, was not immediately because someone knocked on the door.

"Who the hell? Just interrupt!" Adam was suddenly upset, not knowing if he was happy to hear a new call from Ashma.

Adam pulled the door handle and found Jhon's face that looked so serious.

"What's up, Jhon?"

Jhonny, the bodyguard of his trust, seemed to come closer to speak in whispers so that no one would hear.

"Mr Zavier wants to see you, he's out of the mansion."

Not usually Zavier comes suddenly, usually the annoying guy always gives it up first.

"Let him in, I'll catch up soon." Said Adam giving permission, Jhon nodded his head and immediately moved to meet Zavier.

Adam closed the door and immediately turned to approach Ashma. The woman seemed to be folding her face.

"I have an important affair for a while" Adam said there was a business, before leaving Adam kissed the top of his wife's head that was not wearing a hijab.

"Well Mas, I also want to meet mama," said Ashma want to meet aunt Marianee.

Looking at her husband's back is no longer there Ashma immediately prepared to use her hijab to go out of the room.

Ashma walked towards the third floor, a room that he had not been in at all, knowing that the Adam Mansion was so vast that Ashma had not yet memorized every corner in Adam's Mansion.

The man is so established, Ashma also just learned that in addition to Adam working as a secret agent he also turned out to be a company owner as well as a leader in one of the companies that are quite famous in Russia.

But people only know Adam's job as a businessman, because the actual work he kept secret considering it was very privacy and no one should know other than maybe himself and aunt Marianee.

As a wife, Ashma did not think much about how much material her husband had. As long as the property is obtained in a halal way Ashma will always support whatever it is his work.

But considering that Adam is a very important person and his work is very risky Ashma also sometimes feel anxious considering the danger that at any time will lurk her husband.

Ashma had never thought before that she would be the wife of someone of foreign nationality, even to the point of entering into a life she had never expected.

Taking a deep breath Ashma refocused her footsteps to look for Aunt Marianee.

Ashma finally reached the balcony door. Aunt Marianee was there, she was playing her hand knitting the yarn in half-finished warm clothes.

"Mama..." Calling Ashma made the middle-aged woman turn her head quickly. He smiled warmly with a frown appearing around his face.

"Come, baby" Ashma approached her crocheting aunt Marianee so skillfully, Ashma was amazed to see her.

Ashma sat next to Marianne's aunt, "Masyaallah ma, so mama can knit," Ashma's eyes sparkled, with awe that several times came out of her mouth.

Aunt Marianee smiled happily to find Ashma's face looking fresh, "This knitting skill is one of my mother's legacy,"

"Well, do you want to try it?" aunt Marianee continued while offering, who knows Ashma is interested in learning to knit.

Ashma nodded in excitement, she was eager to learn knitting.

"If you don't mind,"

"Don't love, now you're trying to hold this thread and this hakpen, see how aunty holds it." Ashma follows the way Aunt Marianee's hand holds the hakpen.

"First we knot first, well like this," Ashma followed Aunt Marianee's instructions.

"Then we make a chain knot as a beginning to continue the next node to create a pattern."

Ashma had a little difficulty in making the next pattern but with painstaking and patience finally Ashma was able to form a pattern on the knitting he was making.

"God this is a little difficult huh ma," Ashma let out a long sigh followed by a small ruckus.

"Right, dear, but with patience and patience, God will gradually be able to,"

Ashma mangosteen. True, nothing is impossible if done with the right intention and consistent in working on it.

Aunt Marianee grabbed Ashma's shoulder and rubbed it gently, "you've learned to knit for almost half an hour, Ashma let's continue later," without realizing Ashma had been struggling there long enough.

"Yes ma." Ashma and Aunt Marianee leave the balcony.

Ashma also wants to go back to her room, she feels very tired even though Ashma did not do heavy work since she just sat around with aunt Marianee while learning to knit.

Aunt Marianee parted ways with Ashma on the second floor, Ashma continued her steps towards the room, she was eager to lay herself on a soft bed.

Ashma instead passed her husband and also. It seems like Adam's friend, Ashma guessed so.

The man beside Adam was speechless with a look of surprise on his face, Ashma did not care much that he also immediately released his eye contact with the man.

Adam immediately opened a voice releasing silence between them, "where are you from?" ask Adam in a soft voice.

"Upper balcony, meet aunt Marianee,"

"You look a lot like Lily!" Zavier came along to speak, letting go of his shock upon seeing Ashma.

Ashma smiled at a glance, not too fond of hearing she was always equated with others even though it was her late husband's lover whom she loved so much.

Adam knew the look on Ashma's face, immediately he asked his wife to go into the room.

"Get in the room, I'll catch up." Understanding Adam's orders, Ashma left there, leaving his farewells to Zavier.

Adam continued to look at Ashma's back until the woman actually entered his room, then his attention turned to Zavier with a cold look.

"What?" Zavier sarcas asked as if he had done something wrong.

"Don't look at my wife like that!"

Zavier scrunched his forehead feeling confused, what was the harm in looking at the woman who was a little similar to Lily.

"I'm just surprised Adam, that woman at first glance looks like your lover knows!" said continue.

Adam did not respond anymore, he again stepped his feet to go downstairs. Zavier follows with his head wandering thinking of something about Adam and the woman's relationship.

"Don't you marry that woman because she looks similar to your late lover huh?"
