Adam tightened his jaw to hear the words of Jhon, he was completely powerless to resist anger at the perpetrator who had hit his wife.
"Daxter, you!"
Adam closed his eyes while sighing heavily.
"I'm the one who's been trying to take care of her but I myself that's causing her now accident, what kind of husband am I?!" Adam rebuked himself for neglecting to look after Ashma.
"What about the Melbourne crime?" Adam's facial sharpness turned cold, this time he wouldn't let Daxter for too long to feel the free air.
Jhon provides photographic evidence, letters and recording evidence from several people who worked with him when Jhon managed to capture them.
"We have proof that Mr. Adam, the diamond heist in Melbourne was Daxter, not only was it a case of smuggling sharp weapons last month in Francisco and it was Daxter. It's just that we have to look for other, more corroborating evidence to prove that he really did. Daxter has power behind him even he can easily bribe people in law offices." Said Jhon, he was so furious considering that Daxter had power behind him.
Adam hissed annoyedly, "yes that's right, the lashings behind him should be removed first before catching the mother!"
Adam grabs a figura with a portrait of his marriage to Ashma. "Daxter must be punished severely!" Speak with a hardened jaw.
Jhon looked at his master with a faint smile, he did not know whether Adam had really changed or not to his feelings for Nonanya, but saw his condition when his wife was in an accident that left him very badly devastated, it has been explained that Adam really regretted his actions. Jhon only hopes that Adam can keep Ashma's feelings and love her sincerely without a shadow of past problems.
“Thank you for your hard work Jhon,” he said giving thanks to Jhon for helping him a lot.
Jhon nodded small, “sama-sama sir. This is indeed my obligation.”
Adam was stunned for a while and then looked at Jhon again, “Jhon. Regarding Lily and Edward I have concerns. Open what but Edward's a mobster, I'm just afraid Lily's in danger. Lily doesn't know what Edward really is, so I want you to keep an eye on him. Gerald, cih...the man did not do his job well to keep an eye on Lily but. What thanks to him also I became aware of my feelings on Ashma.”
Adam doesn't have to offend anyone, if his path has to be like this it's okay. After mengikhlaskan past with steadfast Adam felt relieved, like a big stone that squeezed his chest all this time just hempas and make himself able to breathe with relief.
“I understand your concern Mr. Adam, as a brother you must want to protect your sister. Therefore I will keep your trust, and please focus on the recovery of Miss Ashma.”
John said so, he just wanted to remind Adam that now his top priority is his wife. Adam certainly nodded steadily, he definitely made Ashma his priority.
“Then excuse me sir, I will provide information related to the incident of Ms. Ashma's collision and also about Daxter.” He said before leaving Adam's study.
Adam grabbed the jacket in his chair, he had to go to the hospital immediately to meet with Ashma. Before going to meet Ashma, Adam always prayed and hoped he would soon wake up from his long slumber, he always wanted it to happen even though either time but Adam always hoped and was sure that his wife would soon be awake.
As Adam was driving, he saw the flower shop that morning that had just opened, Adam immediately came down to buy a bouquet of Ashma's favorite white roses. While at home his childhood, Ashma was very fond of caring for flowers especially there are many white roses and Adam knew that white roses are the favorite flower of Ashma.
“Mistress, I want a bouquet of white roses, please pack.” Adam said to the middle-aged woman of the florist.
The florist nodded excitedly, she was very happy that she had just opened the store and her flowers had already been bought.
“Good sir.”
When finished wrapped the flowers were immediately given to Adam, Adam paid him with a lot of money that made the florist astonished.
“This master is too much,” he said while returning the remaining money whose amount exceeds the price of the interest Adam bought. Adam smiled thinly, “no Madam, more for you because you are already actively looking for sustenance in the morning today.”
The seller was moved by Adam's kindness, "thank you, may God repay your kindness.” He said he wiped his tears that almost came out.
Adam smile small, “Aminn, both Madam, then I'm sorry.”
When entering the hospital Adam was greeted by the receptionist, Adam was used to greeting people there it became a habit for one month, yeah, one month and Ashma hasn't been out of her coma. Her pregnancy had also entered the sixth month and it made Adam more thought because the mother of his child had not yet awakened.
After arriving Adam immediately put the white rose on the nightstand. He sighed, Adam was eager to see those eyes open, and they looked at each other throwing longing gazes that had long since arisen within him.
Adam pulled up a chair to sit beside Ashma, again unable to stem his tears as he looked at his wife who was still lying weak with no sign of movement at all from him.
“I'm still waiting for you to wake up Ashma.” His words floated in the air and were swept away just like that.
Someone pulled the door handle, there was a nurse who went inside to check on Ashma's condition and also wanted to clean her body.
“For Sir,” greet the nun Adam say hello back.
“I will check the state of the patient,” he said as he put the tools on the nightstand.
Adam noticed the activity of the nurse who was examining the state of Ashma.
“Is there any development from him sus?” adam asked for more. The nurse let out a small sigh and then she shook her head slowly, it made little Adam look down a little disappointed that he always found the same result from his examination.
“Sir, you must remain optimistic. I'm sure your wife is not easy to give up the evidence that your wife and baby still survive.”
Adam gave a small nod, he had to be more patient and rely on his current test. Adam never broke up to pray for his wife during the night even now he became diligent in doing tahajud prayers. Adam got the strength of the heart is very extraordinary, then Adam began to learn to be pleased with his destiny although sometimes difficult and full of temptation but for God's sake he tried.
“Suster just put a towel to clean my wife's body on the basin, as usual I will clean it.”
The nurse nodded and then left after finishing checking the routine of Ashma. “Then I excuse.”
Adam grabbed a wet towel to wipe Ashma's body, painstakingly cleaning it full of tenderness. Without Adam noticing Ashma's ring finger moving small, his body responds.
After cleaning his wife's body Adam put the towel back into the basin located on the nightstand.
He searched for something in the small bag he was carrying, Adam took out a small mushaf, he opened it immediately on the page he had marked, Surah Maryam.
Surah Maryam is a surah that is very fond of Ashma, he can read it repeatedly in his spare time, Adam often heard the beautiful sound when he read it.
Adam began to read it in a quiet voice, although not as beautiful as the sound of his wife Adam read it with great anticipation until he felt like he wanted to shed his tears. Adam could not help but hold tightness in his chest as he remembered his friendship with Ashma over the past five months.
The chanting of the holy verse of the Quran entered into Ashma's auditory senses under his consciousness, it felt calling to follow the sound. Ashma followed him he kept following him and at that very moment his eyes opened very slowly, staring at the still dim Light.
The first time he saw was the silhouette of someone who was focusing on reading something, it looked still vague and increasingly clear.
Adam turned to look at him who was now looking at him, at that time Adam's smile was as bright as the sun rising in the eastern horizon.
“Ashma.” Adam called out to him, he approached him and kissed Ashma on the forehead for so long, Adam stared at his bead at a glance and then whispered a fine thankfulness in his ear. His wife just nodded with a blank look.
“Thank you for coming back Ashma, my dear.”
