Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 107's

- Hendric

I stepped my foot towards the academy exit with my boredom that struck because it was left behind by Sean who was busy approaching Aster.

Although it's not the first time I've been treated like an outcast when she's happy, it still hurts.

"Hem .. It looks like I did make a mistake. I should have paid more for that kid. Because of my information, he got excited again like that ...," I muttered while stroking my chin, considering what payment I should get from the boy while my legs were busy walking towards the male dormitory.

"... have given up, we all know that Aster is surrounded by Carel and Teo. They'll never let us get close to Aster,"

"Really! The upperclassman who once expressed his feelings for Aster just got hit by Carel."

"Seriously?"

"So the rumor is true?"

Hee... it turns out the news has been spread, huh? I didn't think that the upperclassman would deal with that troublemaker. Is Sean going to deal with him too? My mind wondered as it passed the three men who were chatting before me.

"Why do I feel sorry for people who like Aster, why? Because they could only admire Aster's figure from afar." I continued while scratching my nape lazily and smiling in horror as I remembered Carel's figure.

"I told you, right? Throw the ball like this!" Sean's voice stopped my steps and I turned my body towards the sports field which was located right in front of the academy building.

I saw the boy was giving an example of how to throw the right ball at Aster, and the girl could only watch Sean with a lazy look–no, her gaze looks annoyed? her expression looks adorable too.

Is he upset at Sean who keeps criticizing his game? My mind summed up what I saw. But the boy was annoying, even though he was teaching his girl friend but his treatment did not distinguish him from other boys.

"He's not really fit to teach others, is he?" I muttered still looking at Sean who started giving the basketball in his hand to Aster. And the woman began to imitate what Sean had exemplified, still with her regretful expression. But the next second Sean began to hold both hands Aster from behind the woman's body, then began to guide her to put the ball in her hand.

"Hhaha, look at that kid! He was looking for an opportunity in the narrow-mindedness, when he did not do such a thing..Thank you to me." I feel proud of myself for giving Sean valuable information and creating the situation he wanted.

Yes, because of that information he became even more excited than before. I was worried because her family problems made her feel burdened and the letter came to worsen her mood. But when he heard Aster was neither Teo's girlfriend nor Carel, he got excited like that. Especially when he knew that the upperclassman was rejected by Aster, he felt like an opportunity for him.

My guess is right, yes! My mind again nodded my head, feeling proud of my sensibility that was already having an inkling about Sean's heart.

"If so .. let's leave them and go to the dormitory." I continued to move my feet again, leaving a dear sight to miss. But I also can't continue to stay when my stomach whines for fillings.

- Carel

I stepped my foot into my mother's ward with mixed feelings that I had been feeling since noon.

I had already refrained for several hours from leaving the academy after receiving the exit permit from the principal. I just arrived at the hospital this afternoon. Even though Dwi had contacted me a few hours ago, of course my father forbade me to come to see my mother.

"... I'm fine," mother's voice as I opened the door to her ward. I saw my mom and dad looking at me. I quickly set my feet to get close to them.

"You're coming? Didn't I forbid you to come?" Dad asked after a long sigh as I was already standing next to him.

"How's mom doing now?" I just ignored Dad's words.

"It's better. Why are you here? What about your school?" Mommy replied as she grabbed my face and gently stroked it, I hurriedly grabbed my mother's hand so that the touch did not end quickly.

"You should learn the right thing and prove to your grandfather that you can–" said Dad stopped as I snorted bitterly.

"You! Your mouth still sucks huh?!"

"Dad sucks too!"

"Oh, you guys. Why even fight?" Said mom trying to break up my debate with dad, the debate just started.

"Mom, I promised you'd be healthy soon. Why go back to the hospital again? Is anyone sick? Or is there something you think?" I said I was very worried about my mother's thin body and her pale white skin. The last time I saw her, my body was a bit fuller.

"Your mother is fine," obviously my father made me look upset at her, how could she talk like that when the mother's condition was clearly visible from her physique. And again I asked my mother, why did she even answer?

"Mom was just exhausted. The day after tomorrow is also allowed to go home, you do not have to worry about mother. Just learn the right thing,"

"But–"

"This is why I couldn't tell you, but your brother called you." Said the father while scratching his back head in frustration.

"By the way about Dwi, where is she now?" I asked who didn't find it anywhere.

"The dwi? Don't you want to call him brother?" Mumbled dad I don't care.

"Your brother is taking care of his work" answered my mother, making me look at him who had a warm smile on me.

"... heal quickly ma'am, don't go back to this place. If the mother continues to be healthy, during the smester holiday I will introduce Aster to mother. Don't you want to meet her?" I try to encourage my mother.

"Truely, you remind me of the important things I have to do." Dad said to my surprise, I saw he was getting busy reaching for the headphone in his pants pocket.

"Doing something important?" My murmur could not stop staring coldly at the figure of my father who looked busy himself.

"Where did the man run away?" His growl was unceasingly making calls, not knowing who he was calling. But his expression started to look bad.

"... Your father was actually doing something for me." My mother's voice caught my attention again.

"Do what?" I asked to make my mother smile.

"What?" I asked again, feeling confused by the reaction shown by the mother.

"Consecret. For now, anyway you have to be diligent in learning, then I will keep your promise to introduce Aster to mother during the smester holiday later." He returned to show his big smile.

A secret?

What was mom hiding until she looked so enthusiastic? What are you doing for mom? Can't they tell me?

"... did you and your mom think I wouldn't be able to help them until you said that what you did for you was a secret? What can I not do for my mother?" My murmur was upset that I was not told the secret that my mother meant, and again my father did not tell me even though our eyes met face to face for a few seconds. Though I've been looking at him questioningly, hoping he'll tell me about the secret you mean. But she instead glared back and got busy with her phone, making me grouchy with her reaction.
