Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 87's

- Esther

"What's wrong with you guys?" Kalea's voice made me and Carel immediately turned to her who had just closed the room door behind her.

"Ka–kalea," I muttered in relief when I saw her figure.

"Ku–think hostel mom back again." Carel continued after sighing his leg while releasing his pinch from my face.

"... I don't think this fool is really truant." Mumbled Kalea who was standing behind Carel.

"Who are you calling stupid?!"

"Stt..." My hisses tried to calm Carel down, lest the hostel mother return to my room because of the sound of the boys from my room.

"Aah!" His murmur instantly understood my response.

"Stupid," Kalea's taunts made Carel tickle at her.

"You guys really can't get along?" I can't make any more comments on them.

"Why are you here anyway?" Carel asked after sighing tiredly.

"You forgot my room too?" Kalea answered tightly, "normally I asked why are you here? If you know you're coming, I won't reveal my room to you." He continued while glancing cynically at Carel.

"So Lea told Carel our room?" I want to get back up from my position.

"Today's cafeteria meal was really good huh" murmured Hendric who was walking beside me. It seemed that he really liked the lunch menu today, seen from his expression.

"That's anak–" said a woman standing not far from me.

"Sst..." The other woman's fizzled while covering the woman's mouth in front of her.

"What's wrong with them?" Hendric asked who was aware of the situation around us.

"You're aware of that too?" While watching everyone who was watching me silently, there were even some of them who were blatantly watching me with gazes I had never seen before.

"I really don't like their eyes." The next screeched, making me glance at Hendric who returned their gazes with his sharp gaze.

"You're right." I agree with Hendric.

Then I saw the blond guy coming out of my class in a hurry. He's Aster's friend, isn't he? Or her lover? My mind tries to recall its closeness to Aster.

"But not at Nathan's party, their family's okay, is it?" The whispers of the other women again caught my attention, I saw they were busy watching their phones.

"Why did they suddenly get divorced?" The others made me understand their behavior.

Ah, about divorce from Claretta's aunt, huh? My mind while sighing harshly.

"Why?" Hendic's question made me glance at him.

"No, it's nothing. Let's go in." I answered leading our way into class.

When entering the class, the gazes of everyone in the class look the same as those outside. So distracting.

"Why is everyone so interested in other people's problems?" I was angry for no reason.

"What's? Did you say something?" Ask Hendric.

"Anu–Sean .. is it true that your father divorced your mother not because of that problem? Or me–" Tia said, approaching me with a difficult expression for me to describe.

"What did you say? Don't make him feel uncomfortable. I'm sure they're not getting divorced because of that." Nadin cut off his friend's words.

"What are you guys talking about anyway?" Hendric's question represented my curiosity.

"You ... haven't you seen the news on the internet? There are a lot of bad articles about your stepmother, and the reason why your father divorced her. But yeah, I don't know if it's true or not. That's why I want to hear it from you directly because you're his family. And you must know the real reason–" Tia obviously made me immediately take out my headphone and look for the article they meant.

"But you saw all the evidence Mr. Ansel presented to the media, right? It's certain they were involved in Miss Marta's accident. And again Mr. Ian also helped with his investigation, so where might Mr. Ansel slander Aunt Claretta." Tia continued, I did not notice because I was too focused on reading the article on my phone.

"Tia was right, where perhaps Mr. Ansel was slandering them. I wish the Veren family would never touch you if they weren't harassed first." The voice of the man who knows who.

That's what I heard from them while reading an article about the father's divorce connected to the arrest of Aunt Claretta with her mother, on charges of premeditated murder of the former head of the Veren family, Marta Veren. Her mother was Mr. Ansel.

"Ap–what does this mean?" I muttered that I could say nothing more, even my head felt empty after reading the article.

I ... never told you why you divorced Aunt Claretta, and then suddenly this article appeared? What's the matter, actually? Does your sister know about this? My mind wondered and ignored the whispers of the people in the class.

"Truly boring ...." I muttered while playing my headphoen while lazing on my seat.

The son of a bitch is also not visible in the cafeteria. Wh who? Who else if not Carel. Then Kalea also went quickly to her dormitory when the break bell rang. I saw him running quickly through my class. It seems like he is worried about the condition of his roommate.

"Did she go to the girls' dorm too?" Then I broke out in a cold sweat imagining Carel going to the girls' dorm and getting caught by the hostel mother.

No way, my mind was trying to shake off my negative thoughts about Carel. But the more I tepis, the more I worry about it. Especially when remembering such bad qualities. It must not be difficult for him to infiltrate the female dormitory, right?

"If it's true he infiltrated there. I'll scold him later. Yeah, I'll piss him off!" My words involuntarily already nodded my head steadily, agreeing with the contents of my own mind. Prepare to scold him.

"... this is Sean's stepmother" Tia's voice distracted me.

"You're right, this is Aunt Claretta." Said Nadin approving the words of his bench-mate after seeing the Tia headphone screen.

"He's been caught by the police?!" Tia immediately closed her mouth.

Caught police?

"He's also divorced with Mr Albert?" Nadin continued to make me curious and immediately look for the name of Mr. Albert on the internet.

But what appears is even news about his divorce with Claretta's aunt, Kalea's mother. Following news of the arrest of Claretta's aunt and mother on charges of premeditated murder on the head of the former family Marta Veren.

"This?" I was very surprised by what I saw.

How could they do such an evil thing to Miss Marta? I continued in my heart to immediately remember the figure of Aster and Kalea who had just made up. Even though their relationship has just improved, will they eventually return to what they used to be?

"No, the position won't be the same." I muttered considering Kalea's current position, the boy had already been excommunicated on the first day of school. If everyone knew that this person who was arrested was his family, he would definitely be even more ostracized. And, it could have been Aster also away from him.

"I have to do something." I immediately ran out of class to look for Kalea. I don't know, why am I worried about that kid now? And I never cared about it. But ever since Aster treated him as his friend, I subconsciously thought of him as my friend too.

I hope he hasn't seen the article, it would be better if he doesn't know. Because people don't know Kalea as Claretta's daughter except Nadin.

"Carels!" I shouted as I saw him on the academy grounds. I quickly ran to him.

"Must yell my name?" He asked as I was trying to catch my irregular breath from running around to look for Kalea, but what I found was this annoying kid.

"Forgot that and look at this." My words immediately gave my headphone to his hand after my breath I managed to control.

I saw Carel start reading articles on my phone after a lazy tickle. "This serious?" Tanyanya looked so surprised by her red bead that kept staring at my headphone screen.

"Neither, but a few minutes earlier, I saw Mr. Ansel's interview being broadcast live on–" Obviously I was immediately cut by him.

"I'll ask you." He said while giving my headphone back to my hand before he walked towards the male dormitory in a hurry.

"Wait on! Carrel! You want to ditch?!" My screams are not heard.
