Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 28's

- Ansel

This morning Arsel came home from work with Eric. I quickly grabbed Arsel's hand and took him to his study to discuss Aster.

Just last night I was thinking about a lot of things to ask her, I didn't think she'd be home so soon. My inner.

"You're really–" he said immediately I stopped by releasing his hand and closing the door of his study as much as possible.

"Why didn't you tell me about Aster's disease, which is similar to daddy's?" I don't want to talk to him much.

I saw his pupils widen and his surprised expression was also clearly drawn on his face.

"You? What is Aster–" I asked immediately to cut with my quick nod.

"Yesterday her illness recurred and I took her to the hospital. But why don't you tell me something this important?" I obviously can't accept his actions.

"I did intend to tell you, but seeing you who can't think of Aster as your daughter .. Can I tell you? Are you gonna be so sorry for him?" He said sounding annoyed as he folded his hands and looked at me cynically.

"I couldn't get Aster hurt again after he heard our talk at mom's house. A child as small as him .. why should you feel such rejection from his parents? Most children receive love from their parents. And again you even love someone else's daughter and openly show your concern in front of your own daughter. What kind of father are you?!" Then he brought out his thoughts about me.

Well he's right .. I can't deny that. I loved Kalea as much as my own daughter because I helped Claretta raise Kalea since childhood. My mind remembers all my memories of playing with Kalea.

"Sorry ...." I said as I bowed my head and clenched my hands together, for some reason I felt annoyed at myself as I recalled all my rejection of Aster.

"Huh?" He muttered in his surprised voice.

"I'm so stupid that I can't see reality in front of my own eyes." I continued while remembering Helen's wedding ring wrapped around Aster's neck, the photo album I saw last night, and the DNA test letter that had been prepared several years ago.

Even the purple bead and black hair she had were enough for me to acknowledge her as my daughter, but I didn't .... My mind feels pain deep within my heart.

"You just realized you're stupid, brother?" Sindir Arsel pissed me off when I woke up from my daydream.

"So how now? You want to admit her as your daughter?" Further asked.

"Before that I had to tell him about my wedding plans with Claretta." I feel doubtful.

"You! Do you intend to marry that woman?" Arsel asked more surprised than before.

"I promised to keep them so–" I was immediately stopped by the clutches of his hands clutching the collar of my shirt.

"You want to make Kalea Aster's half-brother?" Ask with his heavy voice.

"You want to share your affection with someone else's child?" The next thing makes me unable to wiggle. Especially when remembering the story of Arsel about Aster who had lived alone since Helen and her mother died.

"I think he would be happy to have a brother. And again ... doesn't a child his age still need the figure of a mother?" My murmur made him take off my shirt collar violently.

"Eric! Come inside." His words confused me.

Then I saw Eric walking in and approaching Arsel after closing the door.

"Give me the information you know about Claretta and her son." Arsel said as he sat on the sofa not far from where I was standing.

"As you requested. I've been investigating Miss Claretta's background recently. Besides, I also got important information from Miss Marta about Miss Claretta's family." His words pissed me off for no reason.

"All the information I got from my search results all matched the information the madam had given the master. The point is Miss Claretta wants to use the Veren surname to improve her reputation," Eric obviously stopped when he heard Arsel sighing in fatigue.

"He plans to get the name Veren through marriage yes. Isn't he taking the Veren family too lightly?" He muttered while leaning his body on the sofa.

"Continue." He then asked Eric to continue his explanation.

".... I'll take it easy, I can control Ansel. And she agreed to marry me for Kalea." Claretta's voice surprised Arsel as well as me.

Take control? She's she? Meaning controlling me? My mind wondered what I heard.

"You have to run fast before he loves his son ...." This time I heard a voice she called as mother.

"I'm working on it, I don't have to worry about it. .. Besides Ansel's nature is very cold on the boy."

"So about him not admitting his daughter is right huh? Good then, your chance to make Kalea the successor to the Veren family can run smoothly."

"Well, let's hope it's smooth to the end ...."

"But I still don't believe in the appearance of the child ... Helen really hid it well huh."

"That's what I heard when I was following them." Eric said after the recording was over.

"So he intends to make his son the successor to the Veren family?" Guman Arsel looked upset.

Did he plan everything? All this time? My mind was shocked to the point of being speechless.

"For so long the lady has known the Claretta family's plans which continue to stick to Mr. Ansel. That is why the madam always urges the master to marry the woman of her choice immediately. But you always refused and chose to protect Miss Claretta." Eric said as he grabbed his phone and put it back in the pocket of his gray suit.

"So that's why mom suddenly accepted Aster as her granddaughter? Well, not wrong either." Arsel muttered while massaging his forehead.

"So what are you going to do now? Married that woman? Or take care of your daughter?" The next question left me even more confused about the decision I was about to make.

"If Mr. Ansel had remained steadfast in his marriage to Miss Claretta, the mistress would have taken Veren's name from him. That's the message I received from the madam before coming back here together with Mr. Arsel." Eric told me to think hard, because I already love Kalea. The boy who wanted me to be his father.

"I doubt that woman will continue the marriage with you after Veren's name disappears from you." Arsel murmured while sighing and resting one of his legs on the other.

"Give me time to think things through." I said after hard-earned searching for an answer that was still blurry in my head.

"Last, it seems ... Miss Aster didn't get along with Miss Kalea." Eric surprised me and immediately glanced at him who was still standing next to Arsel.

"I've asked the young master's driver to keep an eye on Ms. Aster since she got her knee wound. Ever since seeing such an ever-wounded miss, I began to feel suspicious that something was hidden by the young master. So I did this action," he obviously looked so serious.

"So what do you know?" Arsel's question represented my curiosity.

"It seems that Miss is being bullied by the children in her class, and all of that is due to Miss Kalea being envious of Miss Aster's talent. Hana recently told me that Miss was hurt again when she got back from school." His reply surprised me half to death.

"What kind of empty "mong is that? How could Kalea be so evil? You must be the wrong person." I said I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"Ck, you're still defending that kid. Can't you just show a little bit of your concern for your own daughter?" Decak Arsel who immediately got up from his sitting position.

"I'll ask Hana directly." Continue while walking out of his study.

"Please master also supervise Miss Kalea's actions secretly. If the young master finds out about the bruise on Miss Aster's back, I don't know what she'll do to Miss Kalea." Eric said before leaving me at Arsel's office.

"Bag in–back? Aster ... What did that kid do to hurt Aster like that?" I muttered that I was upset that I did not know the true nature of Kalea, but I also felt annoyed that my daughter was being treated badly by her even though I did not trust Eric so much.

But ... Is that all true Kalea? Inner wondering.
