Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 179's

- Arshel

"What really happened?" I asked my stupid brother who just got back from the hospital.

I just arrived and intend to rest while waiting for my niece and sister to return. But when I saw everyone in the house, I couldn't rest in peace because they looked so agitated.

And when I asked one of the housemaids, he said everyone was worried about Aster because he hadn't come back from the outside. Then the waiter also told me about the news of the commotion that was broadcast on television this afternoon.

At first I didn't understand the direction of the conversation until he said Aster was being targeted by his enemies the Veren family, those who have a grudge against my brother. I heard the car that Aster was riding in to go out followed by the group of enemies and exploded on the road.

I who heard it was immediately shocked to death. How could the boy be targeted by his enemies the fool? Though all this time they never dared to take action to attack the Veren family for fear of big brother. But why did they suddenly take such a bold action? It was not attacking brother directly, but attacking Aster as the next successor.

"You just rest. Let me take care of the rest, if there's any information, I'll call you right away." Victor's voice caught my attention, I saw him enter the house along with Hans who– was injured?

"What happened Hans? I heard you came out with Aster, where is he?" I asked them to approach them immediately.

"Mr Arsel," he murmured.

"When did you arrive?" Victor asked to switch the conversation.

"For a long time, I've heard the news from Mila. I heard Aster's car was attacked on the way back ... But, where is the boy now? Why did you come back alone? Then where's my stupid brother?" My answer again led him to the topic.

"Master is in the hospital with–"

"Aster? So that kid–just watch them yeah! How dare it hurt my nephew." Cut me off feeling annoyed and furious at those who have hurt my niece.

"Ansel with Kalea in the hospital. Aster ... The boy wasn't found anywhere." Victor said back to surprise me.

What did he say? Aster not found anywhere? Whatdoes thatmean? Did they kidnap Aster? And again why is my stupid brother even busy taking care of other people's children? Doesn't he have to act immediately and look for Aster?

"Hah~ I'll explain everything before going back to look for Aster. Hans you just go get some rest." Victor's words made me frown confused. What should he explain?

It was 07:00 at night when my brother returned from the hospital, and I was standing in front of him who had just got out of his car.

I looked at that lazy-looking red bead, did he really lose his memory? But why was it only the memory of Aster that he had forgotten? my mind wondered, doubting Victor's explanation this afternoon.

"You're back?" The question made me immediately clench my hand tightly.

"Where's Aster?"

"That boy again, why does everyone keep asking me where he is?" His grunts made my annoyance slowly rise at its peak.

"He looks a lot like Helen, but are you sure he's my son? Don't we all know that I parted with that woman before we had a child? And again, why don't you think about the possibility that she's Helen's son with that man?" It really pissed me off half to death.

I grabbed my sister's shoulder and pressed her as hard as I could until I saw her gaze turn cold, "you didn't mean to–"

"Close your mouth! I heard Hans showed me a photo album with Aster, don't you think it's a little weird? How can you take pictures when your child is that small? Then all of a sudden he's been standing in front of you that big?" Cut me off trying to hold back my emotions, I saw my brother as if he was thinking hard about something. I don't know what he's thinking, which is obvious I want him to remember his daughter immediately.

"... sa–I just obeyed the lady's order to hide the condition of the master from everyone including Mr. Arsel. So I don't dare tell you sir, mo–please forgive me." Hans looks sorry.

"Sa–I also apologize profusely sir. Because of us, sirs don't know Mr. Ansel's condition." Mila bowed in apology to me.

"Do you want to say something too?" I asked a cynical glance at the figure of Rigel which I clearly gave the order to tell me if my brother was awake, I even asked him to inform me of his condition through an email I sent after I got home. But what did I get? Only information about the condition of the older brother who had regained consciousness and returned to the Veren residence.

Though I think his condition has improved and finally I can see him after finishing my work. I think I can also see Aster's excited expression again because brother has returned home in good health as he expected. But, what the hell is this?

Since arriving at the Veren residence, the atmosphere in the house looks so chaotic. Everyone seemed so worried because their employer's son had not returned, and the news broadcast on television made their panic peak. Then Hans came along with Victor in quite a chaotic condition.

After hearing the story of Victor and Hans forcing me to join in my conversation with Victor, he also told me about Aster's condition as long as the fool forgot about it.

It must be hard for him, right? Ever since the fool went into a coma, the boy had already become the temporary successor of the Veren family to solve his family's work problems. In addition, the person was awake with a condition of memory loss. And that was just about Aster that he didn't remember. My inner self after remembering my conversation with Victor and Hans.

I looked back at my brother's red bead seriously, "would I show you more solid evidence that Aster is your son? Or do I just want to hit your head? I suggest you choose the second option anyway, maybe that's a faster way to restore your memory." I still clutch my sister's shoulder with my left hand.

"Say you want to hit me." In short it made me smile thinly at the change in her expression that somehow looked funny as well as annoying. Looks stupid.

"Yes, that's one of the reasons. Because I was so upset that I didn't know what to do to make your stupidity disappear. You can be calm when we don't know the whereabouts of Aster. You didn't even deploy your men to look for your daughter and instead were busy taking care of someone else's child–"

"Why do I send my men to a child like him?"

"You–"

"Wait on! Should I just give it up, huh? That way, when they find him, I can just finish him off." Cut it off before she puts on a sarcastic smile that surprises me. Could he have said he wanted to kill his daughter? What's wrong with this fool being so insane?

"You! I didn't hear wrong, did I? You said you wanted to finish your daughter off? Do you want to die?" I asked full of emphasis while replying to her annoying sarcastic gaze.
