Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 17's

"Continue what does this have to do with the mother acknowledging Aster as the mother's grandson?" I asked to break the silence that was created a few seconds ago.

"He's a mother's grandson, right? Anyhow he looks like Helen and Ansel." Answer mom with confidence.

"When my mother told Helen to leave my sister's life, but now I recognize Aster as my granddaughter." I immediately got a cynical look from him.

"It's better to acknowledge a mother's biological grandchild than to acknowledge someone else's child as my grandchild right?" Mother's words make me flinch.

"Yes it's true that everything happened because of mother's fault, if only you hadn't asked Helen to leave. Perhaps Ansel would not have gone so far as to help the woman, Aster could also get the full affection of his father ...." He continued while watching the teacup before him with eyes filled with regret.

"So you regret it?" I can't distract myself from that sad expression.

"Any mother will wake Ansel up and make him acknowledge Aster as his biological daughter. He should also know that he's being used by Claretta." Mom is excited again.

"Just mind ...." I muttered feeling tired myself after remembering all the moments when I told my sister about Aster.

She really did not consider the child to be her own daughter. Maybe he never even thought about the possibility of Helen's sister getting pregnant while leaving. All she thinks is that Helen's sister is pregnant with another boy.

Totally childish. My inner voice coincided with the sound of the door being knocked from the outside, then shortly afterwards I heard the sound of footsteps approaching me after the door was closed again.

No need to see who's coming, it's certain that it's my annoying brother. Smelled by her familiar perfume.

"Why did you bring him?" Mother's question made me reflexively turn to look at my sister, and I found a little boy beside her. Little blue boy with brown hair and knee-length red clothes.

"Claretta couldn't take care of her today, so I took her. He said he would pick her up tonight–" replied the truncated brother.

"What did you say? That woman can't take care of her own child and leave it to you? Are you the nanny?!" Mother said really upset.

"Dad, why is grandma angry? Does grandma not like to see me." The boy's voice was shaking.

Well who can bear to hear my mother's loud voice? Even his angry expression was more terrifying than a ghost. I myself do not dare to face an angry mother, so I never want to go home if mother calls with anger. But mom always sent Tomi to move me in front of her. Pathetic ....

"Who are you calling grandma?" Asked the stressed mother with her sharp eyes made the child hide behind my sister's body.

"That's it, ma'am, don't scare her like that. Isn't there something more important to talk about?" I said, rising from my sitting position.

"Hans!" I continued to shout a little, and the waiter who was standing guard in front of the mother's private room immediately entered the room.

"Yes young master?" He said while bowing his body.

"Take this kid around, there's something important we need to talk about. Please take care of him until our conversation is over." I obviously glanced at the boy.

"Let's miss." Invite Hans to make the boy tighten his grip on the brother's hand.

"Go, I'll pick you up when you're done." Sis said with a faint smile she made the boy walk towards Hans, and they left the three of us.

"Uncle Eric where are you? Why is this house so big? Wider than uncle's house." I muttered while walking down the hallway on the second floor.

I should've waited for uncle in the back yard .... My mind feels tired from walking around this large house.

"No! I told you he's not my son!" Shouting someone shocked me half to death when I heard that voice.

What the hell's going on? Did they fight? My mind wondered while standing at the door of one of the rooms on the floor.

"How many times do I have to tell you that Aster is your daughter. Brother Helen left you while she was pregnant with your child–" Red uncle's voice shocked me again.

They're talking about me? My mind wondered with my palm that was beginning to break out in cold sweat.

"What's that empty? It's obvious she's pregnant with Justin's son." His death intrigued me with a mysterious voice I had never heard before.

I slowly and carefully opened the door of the room slightly to see the owner of the mysterious voice, and how surprised I was to see my uncle clutching the collar of his father's shirt Kalea.

"That's Kalea's father, why is she in Grandma's house?" I muttered while peeking, noticing the annoyed face of red uncle that I had never seen before. And I saw a beautiful woman between her uncle and father Kalea.

Ah, the mother at that time? Is he here too? I continued in my heart when I saw the face of the beautiful woman clearly.

"What is Justin's son? Obviously Aster is your daughter, my granddaughter." the woman's voice made me realize that she looked so much like red uncle. Who was none other than his mother my uncle, my grandmother. Why does his face not look old?

"If you talk to her son Justin one more time, I'm really gonna beat you up right now!" Said uncle made me jerk when he heard the name of Uncle Justin mentioned.

"Eh? Am I Justin's uncle's son? uncle Justin's a friend of mother's? But how can it be?" Mumbled wondering.

"Read this! If you still don't want to admit it, then let me be Aster's father. And I won't let you see him." Furthermore uncle made a clear circle in my eyes fall when he realized that the man in front of the uncle was his brother uncle, my father too.

Uncle .... My mind feels pain in my chest.

I don't know why I feel so unwelcome by the people who say my father. I don't really understand how Kalea's father is my father?

"Why do I read it?" My father's voice surprised me along with Uncle Eric's hand that patted my shoulder, making me turn towards him.

"No–nona? What was? Why is she crying?" Uncle Eric asked me to make my tears fall.

"I ... hiks, fine." I answered while running away from him sobbing.

"Miss!" Shouted Uncle Eric I don't care.

Why didn't I think of this before? Why am I so stupid? Even though the uncle said his brother was my father, even though I had the same name as the uncle's family, even though the uncle accepted me, it doesn't mean that father will accept me right?

Though I had imagined the warm embrace of the father who accepted me as his daughter. But what I imagined was the opposite of reality. My mind continued to run without direction until I saw the figure of Kalea who was talking to a servant of this house, visible from the clothes worn by the man.

I quickly entered the room beside me before they saw me. Then I drop my body on the floor after my door closes.

Right ... Maybe only my name is the same as this family. After all, there is no way I have a family this rich, my life has been far from simple. Every day mom works for my grandma and me, I can't even go to Kindergarten and learn from mom. That guy .. He's not my dad. He's Kalea's father.

"That's right, that man is Kalea's father ... hiks .. but why would I wish that he was my father? Mommy ...." I cried again and hugged my knees with my body leaning against the door.
