Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 141

- Esther

After finishing shopping for the school festival tomorrow, Sean and I decided to return to the academy before it got dark.

And the day that is later finally comes. Kalea woke me up after she finished preparing with her clothes. Looks beautiful and fragrant.

"... Does your class open a cafe?" I asked half-conscious, trying to get up from my lying position.

I saw Kalea just looking at me with her flat gaze as my blurry gaze sharpened, clarifying Kalea's expression that I was not aware of before.

It seems like she is still angry with me, my mind remembers my quarrel with Carel involving Kalea and the other people.

I forgot we were on the road. I was still in my heart, rushed up from my bed and went to the bathroom to clean my body when I saw the clock on the wall at 07:45 a.m.

After I finish cleaning my body and wearing my clothes. I got out of the bathroom and went to comb my hair. Just this time I woke up at eight o'clock less, if today wasn't festival day .. surely I wouldn't be allowed into class.

"... I'm the laziest combing my hair." My grunts were upset by myself because my hair was not neat, but only a little while I combed it but it felt like it had gone on long enough until my patience ran out.

I want to cut my hair to a shoulder so I don't have trouble styling my hair, but I won't like it.

Usually if Kalea wasn't angry, she would help me comb my hair. But since he was angry with me for Carel's sake, I don't want to have to be a little patient with my own hair. And he wasn't waiting for me to go to the academy together either.

"Should I tie the origin?" My murmurs began to give up combing my hair and immediately took out a pink ribbon inside my study desk drawer, then tied it to my hair.

"I'm late!" My grunts while running towards the academy building in a hurry. But the next second my steps came to a halt when I saw the scene on the academy grounds that caught my attention.

My eyes could not move from the sight I had seen for the first time, many visitors and food stands were standing in the courtyard of the academy. There are even accessory stands and toys as well.

"Truly like a festival ...," I muttered again, but this time slowly so that I could look around more closely.

"It was still morning, not too late. But the show's been this crowded." I continued to pay attention to some food stands filled with buyers. Inviting my stomach voice.

"Permen cotton please!"

"Sausage burn, let's buy it!"

"The Takayaki ...,"

"Takoyaki," I muttered immediately into the queue when I heard someone yelling Takoyaki's name. I don't know why my stomach got so hungry when I heard Takoyaki.

"Buy two servings yes!" The words of a man in the front row made me tiptoe when I heard his familiar voice.

Sean's? My mind does not see his figure because it is blocked by a tall man in front of me.

"I'm three servings yes" continued the woman behind him as the man passed by with two servings of takoyaki in his hand.

Slowly the line went forward, and my part came, "two portions yes." My words immediately got a nod from the man selling takoyaki.

I can't tell her apart from my upperclassman or classmate, because today we're not wearing school uniforms. Each class has their own uniforms with subordinates of school skirts/pants. There are even those who wear sports uniforms as well, but only a small percentage.

"Please." He said giving my order along with my hand giving me the right money to pay for my order.

"Thank you." I said before leaving the queue, giving a chance to those who want to buy takoyaki as well.

- Carel

"Where's your fiancee?" Kalea who suddenly appeared behind the blond man.

"Of course, it'd be great if he never showed up." My grunts were again lazing in front of the upstairs corridor window, the building where Aster and Teo were studying.

"Wouldn't it be better to go back to your place and go help your classmates?" Teo's speech shattered my lazy mood.

"You want to fight with me?" I asked immediately a cynical glance at my roommate. I saw him close his mouth and throw his eyes off me as fast as he could.

"It sucks!" My grunts again noticed the crowd outside the academy building. Then my eyes caught the figure of Aster who was traveling around colonizing the food stand with a carefree expression, full of enthusiasm. So adorable.

How much more food will he buy? My mind could not turn away from his figure which looked troubled with the food he carried in his two little hands.

"... does he not feel guilty in the slightest?" I muttered after a short sigh along with the gust of wind that hit my face. Though I'm almost crazy thinking about his attitude towards me lately.

"Hmm .. isn't it still too early to eat that much?" Teo said when he realized my attention was on Aster.

"What do you see?" Kalea asked before looking at the figure appointed by Teo.

I saw Aster walking lightly towards the empty bench near the accessory stand, just below the building where I was watching him.

His hands full of food immediately put all the food he brought on the seat, then he quickly filled the empty part beside him before eating the food he bought.

I see his mouth full, chewing food like–takoyaki?

"She really enjoyed her own food huh?" Teo's mumbling didn't make me distract myself from the cool-looking Aster himself.

"Don't she think she should go to her class now? Though we must open the haunted house immediately, but he looks ... did he forget to keep watch in the morning?" Teo continued to make my stomach tingle when I saw his expression.

"Relse ...,"

"You're laughing at me, aren't you?" The question is full of emphasis.

"No!" I tried to restrain myself as best I could so as not to laugh in front of him.

"It seems like he did forget because of the crowd outside." Kalea said, speaking up again.

"He? Ha–should I pick him up?" Tanya Teo looked panicked and immediately left me and Kalea.

He could have fun alone down there. I have trouble fighting with my own mind.

I still can't believe he said such a bad thing to me, even though his expression now is the opposite of the expression he showed me a few days ago.

"Did Aster not apologize to you?" Kalea's question made me lazy to make a sound, "doesn't it seem?" He concluded making me again feel upset when remembering the attitude of Aster when refusing to see mother.

"... But you look better than ever, does that mean you've forgiven him without you knowing?"

"What do you mean?"

"Seeing you watching him quietly quietly like this, I can only guess–"

"Ck, shut up!" My decak along with Teo who had stood before Aster with gnawing, it seemed like he really put all his energy into splitting the crowd down so that he could stand in front of Aster now.
