Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 13's

"This child is Claretta's son." Replied the man who was none other than my brother, I saw that he was holding the boy's hand tightly.

"Ah .. I remember. But isn't this boy Victor's son with that woman? Why did he call you dad?" I can't take my eyes off that kid.

"You're not protecting their family's good name by being their father, are you?" I continued while looking intently at my brother's eyes. However, Claretta is not a good woman, as evidenced by her getting pregnant out of wedlock. And again the man who impregnated him was Victor, the brengs*k man who did not want to take responsibility.

"Dad ...." The boy's voice resuscitated my daydream and made me look back cynically at him. But the boy immediately hid behind my brother's body.

"Stop staring at a kid like that Arsel, you scare him." He replied to my cynical gaze and hid the boy behind his back.

"I really don't understand why you're defending him like that? Though she's not your biological daughter–" I stopped when I heard her breathing.

"I don't care, and you don't have to interfere with my personal affairs either." Obviously, while passing me.

"You care about that kid but you don't care about your own daughter, huh? You didn't even believe what I said back then you–" I immediately turned around and watched his back.

"I told you that I never had a child with Helen. If he had a child, he would not be my son." It was obvious that he was looking at me when his steps came to a halt, and I saw his sharp gaze asking me to stop talking about it.

You stupid brother! Just be careful if you find your son later, I won't allow you to see him. From now on, I will be his father. Batinku.

"Red uncle!" Aster's voice made me look for his whereabouts, and I saw him running towards me with a big smile.

"I don't think uncle will come." Continue while looking up after plunging into my arms.

"Where may I not come, I will see your appearance." My answer made her beautiful smile fade.

Eh? Did I say wrong? I continue in my heart.

"Uncle Eric told you uncle, didn't he?" The question made me realize my mistake. I shouldn't have said that, but it looks like it's done. It's all Eric's fault for losing a suit to me anyway, so he had to leak his secret with Aster to me.

"Hha–haha that ...." I can't answer his question.

"When I asked Uncle Eric to keep it a secret .. sorry uncle .. Aster's appearance was replaced today." He looks gloomy.

"Beforeseen?" I asked while squatting down in front of him and he simply replied with a nod of his lesion.

"But since uncle has already come, let's take a look at his show together." His words re-expanded his smile and immediately grabbed my hand.

"All right." My words immediately rose from my crouching position and began to walk in his footsteps leading me towards the event hall.

I saw that the room was filled with parents and children, and I saw my brother sitting in the front seat playing with his phone.

"We sit in the back." Just talk to Aster.

"Why? Wouldn't it be better to sit in front? If behind Aster can't see." He still holds my hand.

"But in front .. look at the seat is full." I answered along with a woman who had just sat next to my sister.

It was fortunate that she came in time, otherwise I would have to sit next to my annoying sister. But it seems Aster looks moody.

"Then this looks like it, right?" I asked while holding her.

"Pa–paman? What did uncle do? Quickly put me down." His words look surprised.

"Ke–looks the hell, but we have to sit uncle." His reply made me wryly pay attention to everyone who had filled their empty seats.

"You're right." I immediately lowered Aster and sat in the back row, because we were standing in the back. And without realizing all the seats were filled, but I didn't really want to sit in the back.

I read Aster sitting next to me. It seemed like he really could not see his performance as it was blocked by the back of the adult man sitting in front of him.

"Not seen?" I'm not listening, "here." I immediately took her into my lap.

"How now?" I asked her again to make her look at me.

"It's been seen." Answer with a big smile.

Soon after the art show began, the appearance of some students made me a little entertained and nostalgic about my old elementary school life.

"That's Nathan's brother." Aster's voice made my gaze fixed on the figure of a boy who walked to the middle of the stage followed by a girl behind him.

"The kid." I muttered when I saw the daughter who was with my sister in the parking lot.

"Why is that guy here?" I asked Aster to try to forget about the girl.

"Eh who? Nathan Brother? Ms. Estelle said the principal asked Nathan to fill out the core event today. After all, Nathan's brother is the principal's grandson." It just makes me a little surprised.

So that genius kid the principal's grandson is here? No wonder he comes from the Ravindra family. My mind recalls the news of Ravindra's family having a genius son, and even his picture was displayed as an exemplary student at the capital's music school, but I didn't know that this school belonged to that grandmother, and again he's also the principal here.

I turned my gaze to Aster's tiny clenched hands, then his eyes also seemed dim. Not as excited as a few seconds ago.

"What's wrong? Are you sad about not being able to play the piano with that kid?" I asked as I watched the boy on the stage.

"No not so, Aster just .. if you know Kalea will replace Aster to play the piano along with Nathan's brother, Aster should not need to tell Uncle Eric about Aster's performance today. So Uncle Eric didn't have to tell uncle about it either." His speech was really moody on the sidelines of the piano sound played by the two children.

So the boy's name is Kalea huh? My mind sighed tired.

"If you want to show me your skills, we can do it at home. I have one idle piano at home." I thought I made him look back at me.

"really? Uncle has a piano? Aster also has, used to play with mother. But because grandma needs money for treatment, mom sells it and the money is used for grandma's treatment." He said back moody after speaking so enthusiastically at the beginning of his speech. His emotions are easily changed.

"So you learned piano from your mother?" I asked as I grabbed the top of his head and made him nod quickly and return with a big smile.

"Mother's play was great so Aster asked mom to teach Aster to play the piano." His words look happy.

Looks like she's very proud of Helen's sister figure huh .... My mind couldn't distract me from Aster, I didn't even care about the piano sound and the clapping of people when the two boys' performances were over.

What I care about right now is Aster's happiness, his future and also his dreams. I'll protect everything.

You will never be alone again. I continued in my heart again reaching for the top of his head.
