Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 19's

- Ansel

It was 09:30 p.m., and now all the invited guests started leaving the mother's residence one by one.

"Ansel, I say yes now. Happy birthday ...." Claretta stood in front of me.

"Sorry you can't drive you home." I said I felt a little guilty because I drove Kalea to her grandmother's house this afternoon because I couldn't take care of her.

"Don't worry, I'm going home with Ellene." He smiled and went to see his friend.

I turned my gaze towards Arsel who was walking quickly up the stairs, it seemed like he was tired of talking to the guests.

Aster Veren ... how could that child have the same clan as my family? Isn't he Justin's son? How dare he give my family name to his daughter. My mind was upset by the name that the child had that he said was my son.

But why did the mother come to acknowledge the child as her grandson? Does he .. I think I should read the letter. Continue in my heart while holding the pocket of a suit on my chest. I did keep the letter in my inner pocket, I wanted to keep it at home but I paused.

"Ansel," mother's voice destroyed my daydream.

"Tonight sleep in your mother's house, tomorrow morning just come home." He continued, holding my shoulder with his right hand.

"No way, I'll be home after all the invited guests come home." Reject me while looking at the half-living invited guest.

"Ansel." Said mom I didn't listen.

"I'll excuse you." I said while looking at my new headphone screen receiving incoming messages from my private secretary Rigel.

Looks like he's found a clue about the kid Arsel adopted. I quickly opened the incoming message.

"I've sent the data to your email, please check." I muttered as I read the message.

Without wasting any time I directly checked the incoming email sent by Rigel. My eyes widened in surprise when I saw the data of Aster and Helen.

So .... My mind immediately took the letter in my pocket and I read it straight away.

Helen ... It's only fitting that I haven't been able to find you this past year, it turns out you .... I continued in my heart when I saw the last message written by him in a paper.

"But it was you and Justin? How could that child ... you leave while you were pregnant with Aster?" I muttered trying to digest all the writing in the letter I held.

It was clear that I saw you with Justin. And ever since I found out you were with that guy a lot, I sent out some people to keep an eye on you. But the information I got you was already in a relationship with that man.

Then all this? What the fuck is this letter? Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant? Why are you keeping it from me? Whyyy?! My mind is upset with not accepting what I know now.

Jraaassi...

The rain began to fall heavily, I saw that the guests had left the mother's house and left the servants busy cleaning the room. I don't know how long I've been standing in the house reading my hand mail, I don't even realize everyone's gone.

JDAR!

The sound of lightning was heard thundering along with the lightning light that was dotting the sky tonight.

"It looks like you should stay here until tomorrow morning, I won't let you come home during a heavy rain like this." Said the mother who was standing next to me.

"Then I go to my room." I said as I squeezed the paper in my hand and immediately stepped my feet away from the mother who stood at the sign of the house.

"Your room? You, wait for Ansel!" Shouted mom I didn't listen, right now I want to go get some rest.

Somehow I felt annoyed again at him when I remembered the incident, the day my mother kicked me out with Helen from her house. After that the memory of that day, when Helen left the house without a word and left a letter in my workroom. I actually got doubly annoyed at feeling betrayed.

You said you'd stay with me no matter what, but in the end you left me! My mind tightened my fist that had squeezed the letter in my hand until it was no longer shaped.

"And now ... You left a child for me? You want me to accept your son after everything you've done to me?" I muttered after arriving at my doorstep.

Prangs...

The sound of falling objects was heard from inside my room, I quickly went inside to confirm the sound I heard just now.

"Uncle hiks .. red uncle ...." The sound of a child sitting on the floor along with a bowl of porridge and a cup was strewn across the floor as I highlighted it with light.

"Uncle!" His words immediately plunged into my arms without seeing who was in front of him.

"Uncle, don't stay in Aster anymore." Next with trembling body tightened his embrace.

This child .... My mind cannot let go of his embrace.

"Uncle." He said again when he heard the thunderous sound of lightning, "tonight sleep with Aster again huh. Aster is afraid of hiks ...." Further.

I feel her body still trembling in fear hugging my body plus her body temperature is quite hot. Is he feverish? Inner wondering.

I'm upset right now, but why is this kid in my room? I was still in my heart, doubtfully grabbing her body and holding her, then I stepped my foot onto my bed and laid her on the bed.

"Uncle don't go ...." She grabbed my right hand and hugged it tightly as I intended to go get the candle.

"Aster," the mother's voice as she carried the candle, "Ansel?" Then when I saw me who was sitting next to my own bed with Aster's hand holding my right hand.

"Mother leave the candles here." Whisper mom with her thin smile that looks like she is teasing me and just walk away without saying much.

Now what am I supposed to do? Talk to her? My mind after sighing tiredly.

"Ugh ...." He muttered when he heard the sound of lightning.

He was afraid of the sound of lightning. My mind again felt his trembling hand and tightened his embrace.

"Uncle when does the rain stop?" He asked, "Aster ...." His next stop made me wonder what he was going to say.

Then doubtfully I rub his forehead as gently as possible, trying to dispel his fear in my way. Suddenly I wanted to do that.

For now put aside my annoyance ... but why? Though I had no intention of accepting her as my daughter, I also could not believe that this child was my biological child with Helen, but this feeling? My mind wondered what I was feeling right now.

"Uncle ... what–ayah hates Aster?" The question surprised me, "A–what Aster is not a father's son? What ... Aster's uncle Justin's son?" He continued with his eyes closed.

"As–ter ...." My murmur came to a halt as it felt its hands getting tighter and tighter hugging my hands as the sound of the lightning roared back.

"Does that mean red uncle isn't Aster's uncle anymore? The father my uncle told me was my father, he wouldn't admit me. That means Aster isn't his daughter, right? Kalea's dad's daughter, right? Hha–ha... whereas father is not my father but I still call him father, isn't that strange? Uncle ... will uncle take Aster to Siti's house again? But if Aster returns, Aster will trouble Siti and Zaenal's uncle again. The house where Aster lived has also been sold, mother and grandmother have gone far away from Aster ... Aster doesn't know where to go now. Aster can't stay with uncle anymore right? Although Aster was happy because uncle said he wanted to be Aster's father, but ...." Ocehnya at length with the look of her purple eyes that had looked straight at the door of the room, then closed her eyes again when the clear circle came out of her eyes.

Helen .... My inner being when I saw the purple bead that the child had, even I felt tight right now when I heard his words and the tears that soaked my coat sleeves, she said, for a moment I wanted to hug her but my consciousness was still functioning properly, so I didn't do it and kept holding myself back.

She's not my daughter. My inner self reminded me who still hesitated to believe in him as my son.

Silence .. I couldn't say anything to her and was busy struggling with my own thoughts.

I don't know how long we've been silent. It was possible that this child was already asleep, the sound of the rain vaguely began to subside. The sound of lightning was gone, only the light of lightning remained.

"Uncle? Why are you keeping quiet?" The question surprised me.
