Aster Veren

Aster Veren
Episode 85's

- Esther

"I'm going first Aster. Don't forget to take the medicine, I've also prepared porridge on your study table. The hostel mother will also come later at noon to see your condition." Kalea said before going to the academy.

"Yes, thank you Lea." My helpless words along with Kalea's heavy-looking departure left me alone in the room.

He even had a chance to ditch to take care of me, but I forbade him because today in his class there is a daily exam. And again he's been studying hard all night, so how could I ruin his hard work and make him ditch me.

Weight ... My head is really heavy. My mind while holding a wet towel against me. Even my eyes look blurred.

"It was only a few days in the dorm, but my body couldn't adapt properly immediately .. when was the last time I was sick?" I murmured while closing my eyes because I felt so dizzy.

Silent, so quiet that I couldn't sleep well. Whereas in the past if I was sick, there was Hana's sister, Arsel's uncle, father and other servants who took care of me. But now, no one is taking care of me.

If I have to remember, I used to be in this situation. No one could take care of me when I was sick, because my mother and grandmother were gone.

My body was really limp and hot, my throat was also very sore. All I could do was lie on the floor with a thin blanket and a wet towel that I prepared myself with great difficulty.

Then bi Siti came with a surprised expression when she saw me sick. He quickly took me to the hospital with Uncle Zaenal, since then bi Siti started to pay attention to me and take good care of me. He also panicked when I disappeared all night and came home the next morning with Uncle Arsel.

The memories of my meeting with my uncle Arsel and other good people began to come back with me who could not sleep well. Even the memories of my mother taking care of me began to appear.

"Hah~ are you sick again Aster? Looks like your body is very sensitive huh? Every change of weather you're always sick. Though the scene today was very good, "mother's voice began to ring, the shadow as mother squeezed the wet towel began to be printed back in my memory.

Mother's image with sad eyes and worried expression made me miss her presence so much now. Even unconsciously my tears began to flow when I saw my mother's warm smile when she encouraged me to get back to health so I could take another walk with her.

"Mother don't worry, Aster will recover soon and take another walk with mom." My words tried to calm the mother who was still looking at me with her worried expression.

"Then you have to take the medicine so that your fever can subside." He said while showing his sweet smile.

"Ugh, I don't like taking drugs."

"Hhaha, not bitter. Especially for you I buy strawberry flavor medicine loh." Mother's words with a big smile made me tempted to try the drug that I mean. Strawberry flavor? It must taste really good, right?

"Then I'll try it,"

"Good, then open your mouth and taste the sweetness yourself." Mommy replied while bringing the medicine spoon closer to my mouth, I quickly devoured the medicine out of curiosity with the strawberry taste that mother said.

"Ugh–wlee .. bitters!" muttering as I stuck out my tongue as I felt an unbearable bitter taste, I quickly grabbed my drinking water and finished it to remove the bitter taste of my tongue.

"Mother lied! Why would you trick me into taking the medicine?" I was annoyed by my mother's trick.

"If not, then you won't take the medicine anytime. If you don't take medicine, then when will my daughter be healthy again?" Obviously mother while ruffling my hair after finishing closing the medicine bottle in her hand, not forgetting her wide smile.

"No idea ah! I'm angry with mom." My grunts while brushing my mother's hand from the top of my head.

"Related?" Ask while showing some strawberries in a small bowl held by the mother.

"That?"

"Strawberry," replied the mother again showing her wide smile.

"May I eat it?"

I don't know why I know I'm dreaming about my past. And by consciously dreaming about it, is it possible because I can't sleep well? Or because I miss my mom? So my memories of the past carried over into the dream.

"Aster," whispered someone to me, I painstakingly opened my still-shaded eyes. Really can't see clearly.

I felt a soft touch on my cheek along with a gust of wind that swept away the cold sweat on my face. Very cool.

"It turns out you can't be left alone, can you?" A familiar voice made me fully aware.

"Who?" My mumbling was not heard, I laboriously forced my body to rise from my newest position.

Ugh, head. I continued in my heart while holding my throbbing head as my body managed to get me up from my newest position.

"You don't have to get up, you can lie down! You have to eat first and take medicine, then go back to sleep." Her voice sounded annoying, but there was warmth from her annoying voice. It doesn't feel foreign.

Then I saw his hand grab a wet towel that had fallen off my forehead and replaced it with a hot-dissipating compress plaster that would not slip off my forehead even if I slept sideways.

"Cold," I cried as the plaster was affixed to my side.

"You can't take care of your body properly, can you?" The tightness made me open my eyes after the coldness on my forehead was slightly reduced.

I saw a picture of Carel's face that seemed to be shaded so close to my face, leaving me shocked to death when I saw her in front of me. "Ca–carel? Ba–how did you get into the girls' dorm?" I stammered while keeping my face away from her.

"And again you're ditching?" I continued to try to calm my heartbeat that had raced quickly so surprised by the presence of Carel who was too late to realize because my view was shaded.

It was only fitting that I felt her voice so familiar, I thought I was hallucinating from a fever. Is this kid really in front of me?

"For now you have to eat first, the boy said he had prepared porridge for you right? Where'd he keep it?" He murmured as he spread his gaze throughout the room.

"That's it!" He immediately took the bowl of porridge on my study table, and then returned to the seat he had brought close to my bed. Separating that chair from my study desk.

"Anu–Carel ...," I said, unable to continue as the spoon filled with porridge made its way into my mouth by force.

This kid really! I growled in my heart. I wanted to hit him, but my body didn't have much energy to move and hit him.

"... So where did you come in?" I asked after swallowing the food in my mouth with difficulty because my throat hurt.

"Windows." He answered while pointing at the window of the room with his chin as his hands were full holding the bowl of porridge and spoon.

"You crazy? This is the second floor–" I said almost shouting because I was so surprised by the answer I heard. How could he have come from the window of the room that was clearly not easy to climb?

"Don't scream! You can invite the hostel mother here." His whisper while covering my mouth with his right palm.

"Ma–that's why you came here? And again you're ditching?" I whispered as Carel's hand slipped out of my mouth.

"I'm .. worried about you." He answered, turning his face towards the window.
