Chapters. 123 - Desert Scorpion

Several healers were lined up to the right of a bed on which someone had been injured in an attack that was not clear where it came from. However, luckily the Sect higher-ups immediately called in the healers to treat Xing Ruo who had previously been injured with the inside of the body filled with scorpion venom.

"How is he doing? Can you say it's okay?" Zhao Yuan asked as he was paying attention to Xing Ruo's state which seemed to be enduring the pain all over his body.

"I'm sorry, Patriarch of the Sect. We don't know where the attack came from but, we have the possibility that this young master has been exposed to scorpion venom from the desert." It was clearly one of the healers who walked up to him.

"Wasteland scorpions? How could the animal be in our place?" Zhao Yuan asked who was very surprised after hearing that.

"We don't know how this happened. But, it is true that the poison that was inside the young master's body was the poison of the desert scorpion." Say that doctor again.

"Master Yuan! I have something to tell you." Said Li Chu Yi as he walked over to Zhao Yuan along with some disciples who were behind him.

"Say Master Chu Yi! What do you want to say." Chirps Zhao Yuan.

"When I walked up to him while he was still conscious, this kid kept calling out Young Master Mu and trying to get out of the Sect. He said they were in danger now." It was clearly Li Chu Yi at the events that had previously occurred at the training ground.

"What happened to them? Then, what does this have to do with this kid getting himself exposed to desert scorpion venom?" Zhao Yuan asked while thinking about it.

Li Chu Yi picked up Xing Ruo's clothes that were on a table. He took out a small bag from the clothes and opened it to show everyone there.

"This child used a state-reversing spell to protect Mu Chen Xiao who was in the desert together with Grandmaster Zhao." It was clearly Li Chu Yi while showing the spell paper to everyone who was there.

Zhao Yuan's expression became extremely shocked. He took the paper from Li Chu Yi's hand and watched it well.

"Master Chu Yi is right. This is a spell of circumstance. Why would this child protect Mu Chen Xiao who was a nobody to him?" Zhao Yuan asked in astonishment upon seeing the spell.

Li Chu Yi thought before saying, "If this child gets seriously injured like this that means, Mu Chen Xiao had been exposed to scorpion venom which then transferred the wound to the body of this child so that he became very badly injured."

"Patriark Sect! Lothawat! This kid is dying!" Said one of the doctors who noticed.

Zhao Yuan and Li Chu Yi who were in the other corner immediately walked over to Xing Ruo who was being critical. His face was wet with sweat and his skin looked very pale. The healers had not found a cure to his wounds and even the herbs could not find an antidote to the poison from the desert scorpion.

"Can we just see it so tormented like this?" Zhao Yuan asked with a concerned face after he saw Xing Ruo's state.

Zhao Yuan was speechless while still maintaining his same expression as if he was saying a pity. If he had known his surname, he might have taken him home. However, Xing Ruo had never said his surname and it left Zhao Yuan perplexed to do what with him if it was already a corpse.

"Old brother bangka! You really can't take good care of my people." Said a black-robed man who had been standing behind them ever since.

As soon as this voice rang out in their ears, the expressions of the entire crowd became extremely shocked as they had just the arrival of an intruder.

Immediately all the disciples who were there drew their respective swords at a man who appeared behind them.

"Who are you?!" Asked a disciple with a serious expression for trying to protect their Patriarch of the Sect and also his Great Master.

The man grinned behind his hood and walked up to them. Then, while walking towards him, all the disciples who were in front of him seemed to be pushed hard to the right and left. This man seemed to have the power of mind that made everyone just go away and paved the way for him.

He is no ordinary man! His spirit power surpasses that of a level nine Grandmaster!

As the man was right next to Xing Ruo's bed, his gaze was clearly looking at him even though they could not see his face hidden behind his hood. They also became very curious because it was possible that today Xing Ruo would open up widely what his surname was all along.

"It turns out you can't do anything to him. It seems, losing one disciple is better than losing your own child. You didn't even throw a threat to these healers. Wouldn't you normally, you would behead them if you couldn't cure one of your Sect members?" Asked the man with a grin of grin and a tone of speech that seemed to be humbling all those who were there.

"Who are you, anyway? It was as if entering our territory without permission!" Zhao Yuan said firmly to the man before him.

The man seemed to ignore what Zhao Yuan was talking to him about. He then took out a pill that was taken out of a small medicinal jar and put it into Xing Ruo's mouth.

"Do you think there's no antidote for desert scorpions?" The man asked as he stared sinisterly at Zhao Yuan and showed his small medicinal urn. "... There was an expert concocter who managed to find him however, he was killed during the Mu family massacre incident."

Zhao Yuan who heard that immediately gave a surprised expression and could not say anything for a while. He hardened his fists as he found out who this man was talking about.

"Do you mean Qian Yue?" Zhao Yuan asked a cold expression. ".... So, you've come back, Mu Chou Ran?"

The man again smiled a grin as his name was told by Zhao Yuan. He did not expect that this old man could remember his name so well. He was the one who had been missing for so many years and finally, this person reappeared to scare everyone who was there.

"Hm, um,... You who are this old can still remember my name?" Asked the man while opening his hood and sure enough, this person was Mu Chou Ran who had gone missing all those years ago. "... How was my son in the sect? Does he always do you any bad things?"
