Jiangyan City, the former mansions of the 'Mu' family residence'.
A ten-year-old boy with a ponytail of hair and a Crown adorning his head, came to the residence of the 'Mu' family on foot from his residence in the palace!
He was the Crown Prince of the Zhang dynasty, the last of the six other Princes named Zhang Xiuzhen.
When he was in the front yard of the mansion of the Mu family, he prepared with an arrow that had been drawn by his bow. His gaze stared around the place that looked shattered and had wood that was so fragile that it was easy for this place to be destroyed in a single slash of martial art sword.
Because there was a lot of news coming from the villagers until it was heard to the palace about the residence of the 'Mu' family that holds so many secrets. And most of them believe that there is a sword belonging to Mu Chou Ran that is stored in the former residence. It made some Cultivators and even other noble classes feel very curious and vying to get the Mu Chou Ran's sword relics which were equivalent to the four Xingyue kings.
Zhang Xiuzhen became one of the nobles who were very curious about the sword. However, the Emperor never allowed him to leave the Palace and kept him locked up in a room heavily guarded by palace guards. But when they caught their guard, Zhang Xiuzhen took the opportunity to leave his place immediately without the knowledge of anyone who was currently on guard at the Palace. And in the end, after he had walked for five days, he arrived at Jiangyan city precisely inside the 'Mu' family residence that had been destroyed six years ago.
"Curtain! Just look! I'll definitely get the sword!" Zhang Xiuzhen murmured after he recalled the bullying the other six Princes had done to him.
Zhang Xiuzhen began to walk into the residence very carefully considering that there was some fragile wood that might be on his body.
This huge mansion looked extremely messy like the start of the assault carried out by the Yin Lang Sect and several other groups. In the corner of the room, there are some wooden slats that they use so that this building does not fall apart someday. And the swords that were seen scattered everywhere, it seemed that they had deliberately left it there as a marker where the owner of the sword was killed by his opponent. Although the atmosphere was a bit creepy, there was not a single ghost hiding there. There were only a few wooden slats that collapsed as a result of being consumed by age.
”Why doesn't anyone show up here?” zhang Xiuzhen's inner being began to be astonished by his current atmosphere.
Without needing to linger, he finally walked back to the basement in one of the rooms there. He then opened the red curtains that hung on a door and found a secret passage to the basement which was covered by a door made of fine wood and had previously been covered by the a blue carpet was placed there.
"Is this the way to his place?"
Feeling that this was the right door, Zhang Xiuzhen finally opened the door and saw a staircase directly connecting him to the basement.
"It's dark in there. Is it true that Mu Chou Ran hid his sword inside this room?"
Zhang Xiuzhen took out a fire-emitting spell that finally came out from his two fingers to illuminate every path that he would aim for. He finally descended from the stairs to the basement, where Mu Chou Ran hid his sword.
Although the room above looks very messy, this place looks very neat and clean like it is still inhabited by someone who survives in the room. And after he passed several tens of steps, he passed the stairs, he finally saw a floor made of fine rocks that seemed to have nothing broken and there was a torch that had been lit there.
”This place seems to be much better compared to what is on it. Is there someone living in a place like this?” zhang Xiuzhen's mind as he walked down the stairs with great care.
And after he stepped right on the floor of the room, Zhang Xiuzhen hid behind a wall and tried to check what was around him but it seemed, he was hiding behind a wall, no one was there to attack him because he had been an uninvited guest in their place.
"It looks like no one is here. But, why does this place look so neat?" Zhang Xiuzhen murmured who then came out of his hiding place without seeing the threat that might be in the vicinity.
Then, after he left his hiding place suddenly a woman wearing a black robe and hood, suddenly, coming from behind him while swinging a red radiant sword that seemed very dangerous when someone was hit by his attack!
...~ Arc 4 : Hunting On the Spirit Mountains ~...
It is currently within the Jinya Mountains, Mu Chen Xiao walked past some of the trees that grew large there even though he actually knew that there were some obscure spirits hiding behind his shadow.
"I know you're hiding behind my own shadow. Come outside!" Said Mu Chen Xiao while looking at his own shadow.
Not long after he spoke, another black shadow emerged that came out from behind Mu Chen Xiao's shadow. The black thing had no shape and its form could change into anything. And for this time alone, the black body was trying to replicate its true form of a seven-year-old.
"I've heard verses about someone who always hides behind his shadow. So, is this what the real thing is? Not formed and just following the shape of what is seen by him?" Clearly Mu Chen Xiao after he saw the black spirit had tried to imitate its shape.
"When you've only been here for three days. Turns out, you already know about us." Said the black object which now resembled the shape of Mu Chen Xiao's body. "... I am the spirit of the verse that people hate so much. My name is Lun Quo, the one who always takes cover in the shadows or is as good a traitor."
"The poem about a traitor? Then, are you also acting like a traitor?" Mu Chen Xiao asked after he found out Lun Quo's true spirit.
"I only resemble his form, but my nature is very different from what the verse says." Said Lun Quo who seemed to be trying to convince Mu Chen Xiao that he was not a Spirit who always betrayed.
"All right, I believe that." Mu Chen Xiao replied directly without needing to think about it carefully.
Lun Quo became very surprised once he met Mu Chen Xiao who just trusted him without having to do a proof for him. Instantly, the black color that had previously filled the spirit form of Lun Quo suddenly turned pink and grew some flowers around it.
Mu Chen Xiao stared in bewilderment as this was the first time he had seen a Mountainous Spirit that could change its color at will. "What's wrong with your color? W-why can it turn pink and grow flowers there?" Asked Mu Chen Xiao who was confused.
Lun Quo gasped in surprise and immediately replied, "... Sorry if I confused you. I'll turn pink when I'm happy and if it's normal, I'll go back to black."
Mu Chen Xiao thought before replying, "Like a reflection of mood? Then, if you're angry, what do you look like?"
"If I get angry, I'll turn red and if I'm sad, I'll turn blue."
"Then, if you feel awkward? What color are you showing?"
All of a sudden, Lun Quo turned green as he felt awkward to answer all of Mu Chen Xiao's questions for him.
"Oh! I gotcha! You'll turn green if you feel awkward!" Said Mu Chen Xiao who immediately concluded.
Lun Quo was stunned and silent for a while before he finally returned saying, "I'm sorry for surprising you for coming secretly. However, I have things to tell you immediately."
Mu Chen Xiao was stunned and asked back, "What happened? Try telling me."
Lun Quo replied a moment later, "Jiangyan City, the former residence of the 'Mu' family'. I feel like there has been a single fight that has caused damage everywhere. However, no one there wanted to get involved and they just pretended not to know."
Mu Chen Xiao was very surprised to hear that and he said a moment later, "That's my home and I have to go there. I don't know where it is so, please show me where it is."
