Chapters. 85 - The Crushed Face Melts

The old house to the east of Jiangyan city.

"Is that what you want to talk about?" Shang Ren asked who was currently dealing with a man he used to meet at the same place.

After many years of his face and head being bandaged, the man finally opened it and displayed his present state. He was visibly crushed with scars that filled his head and face. The smell was rotten due to the dry blood still lingering on his skin. He also had no hair because at that time his head was burning and blistered so that it could not be overgrown by his thick hair anymore.

"Today I look bad. It seems, this body is no longer able to withstand its own injuries." The man said as he looked at himself with a bronze mirror next to him.

Shang Ren was speechless and expressionless as the man tried to talk to him. He does not like it much if someone tries to waste his time for free. Usually he would leave her and would never want to meet her. However, because he had an important relationship with the man in front of him, he was forced to meet him many times even though he actually could not stand it anymore.

"Did you tell me to come here just to listen to your useless words?" Shang Ren asked who was starting to not understand the current situation.

The man was stunned and immediately looked towards him. His face that looked rotten, made Shang Ren reluctant to look at him and chose to throw a face when the man turned his head towards him.

"Oh, so you refuse to see me?" He spoke as he looked at the reluctant Shang Ren to see his ugly-looking face.

"Why? Talking to you is a waste of my time. Why are you seeing me again?" Shang Ren asked who was getting annoyed with him.

The man then laughed loosely while covering his forehead and looked back at Shang Ren with a look of condescension. "... How can you be like this? Aren't you always coming to me, seeing me like this? Why can you be upset and annoyed at me even if I say things that are a waste of your time?" He said while looking at her coldly and insultingly.

Shang Ren is not a person who is always wasting his time just listening to the nonsense from one's mouth. He immediately turned around and left without giving him time to talk.

Looking at Shang Ren who walked out and turned away from him, the man stopped his indistinct laughter and looked at Shang Ren from behind coldly.

"I want to see the boy." It was his words that made Shang Ren stop instantly.

His expression looked surprised when he heard the man say something to him. Since this person had recovered from his wound, he could have walked out but with a smashed face and a foul scent due to the scars on his face.

"No. Didn't I let you meet him until the time came?" Shang Ren asked as he looked back with his cold face.

This man suddenly smiled a grin and made evil air seem to be around him. "Why indeed? There is no harm if I meet him. Besides, I'm not gonna do anything bad to her." Answer the man.

Shang Ren gave a cold snort and said, "Your Majesty! You better follow what I'm saying right now. Trust me, maybe he'll be scared if he sees your face right now." He said as he walked out of the room and ignored the man who was currently staring at him with anger.

Shang Ren is someone who is good at using controlling spells. Therefore he instantly took out a Teleportation Spell and went towards Xuanzhou city which seemed to be doing fine. And it was true that during this time when, where they were being rained down by the cold snow, a red light emerged from the Zhao residence that was in the Hua Jian Sect.

Back then, Shang Ren was still outside the west gate of the Hua Jian Sect and watched how the air of power he saw slowly dissipated. He immediately learned that this power came from Mu Chen Xiao who performed the Shen Qi ritual alone.

After he arrived in front of Zhao Bingyan's room, he saw the door that could not open because it had frozen from the inside. At that time he made a barrier spell so that no one could find him here.

"As long as the spell is still in effect, I should immediately take her away from this place." Shang Ren muttered that it hit the door so hard that it made a huge impact sound that shocked everyone there.

Not long after dozens of hard blows had been made for several minutes. The ice that froze the door finally broke and the door was destroyed by the violent blows made by Shang Ren repeatedly.

When he managed to open the door, he was greatly shocked upon seeing an array of Shen Qi created thanks to the blood flowing from Mu Chen Xiao's wrist.

He then raised Mu Chen Xiao back and intended to take him to a place quite far away from this place. He also briefly turned his head towards Zhao Bingyan who was still silent in his sleep after his dark side was removed by Mu Chen Xiao by way of Shen Qi ritual.
