Chapters. 08 - The Beginning of the Battle Duel

A few hours before the battle.

"Destroy everything here!"

Hundreds of disciples were coming from four different directions. They all instantly ambushed and attacked the protective wall. Innocent disciples were also injured as a result of the single fight they had with the Yin Lang Sect disciples who had average disciples at the lower world level.

"What's wrong with these people?! We are in no way declaring war between the two Sects!"

Some of the injured disciples were immediately taken back and replaced with new students.

The people in the Yin Lang sect had a special spiritual weapon that possessed strength beyond anything. And in fact, a large hammer made of solid stone and tied to a thick wood using spirit rope, was able to tear down a fortress wall of Hua Jian Sect made of large rocks.

Dozens of medium-sized snakes, began to be ejected from the arms of a black-robed elder. Both of his eyes were covered by a black cloth and his sinister smile when he saw the disciples were miserable because of it.

Among all the troops of the Yin Lang sect, only the snake elder, Gu Zhu was the strongest there was. No one dared to attack him because he had hundreds of snakes that were very poisonous and very deadly if someone was hit by one bite.

As the snakes spread throughout the Sect, it was Master Li Chu Yi's arrow that attacked.

Hearing that the Yin Lang Sect had come to attack them, Li Chu Yi immediately moved quickly to abandon his duty and archery the dozens of snakes that were currently moving about through the air.

With a single pull, Li Chu Yi instantly killed ten snakes in an instant and it made Gu Zhu very surprised and thought that, there was someone who dared to fight with him.

"All students! Stay behind me!" Li Chu Yi shouted at the sect disciples who were currently under him.

As soon as he finished taking care of the snakes that were wandering everywhere, Li Chu Yi descended back in front of the disciples who had been exhausted from having a heavy fight with the people of the Yin Lang Sect.

The bows and arrows that were his mainstay at the moment, each of them had been held in his hands. He stared exasperatedly at Gu Zhu who had attacked his sect for no apparent reason.

All the disciples of the Hua Jian Sect had gathered behind Li Chu Yi's back as well as the Yin Lang sect people who had currently gathered behind Gu Zhu.

Li Chu Yi said coldly, "What is the Yin Lang Sect attacking our sect for?!"

Gu Zhu chuckled and replied, "Oh, Master Chu Yi. I'm sorry I bothered you. I came here just to test your Sect."

Li Chu Yi gritted her teeth and asked back loudly, "What do you mean just to test us?!"

"Huhoo,... You are very strict Master Chu Yi. Isn't this a normal thing? I'll just take your great students." Said Gu Zhu while twirling his wrist.

"Curtain! Are you still not enough?!" Shouted Li Chu Yi in anger while pulling back his bow and arrow towards Gu Zhu.

His current expression was so furious that, he unleashed dozens of arrows at Gu Zhu directly without having to wait for him to be ready or not receive his entire attack.

The huge snake ate the entire arrow belonging to Li Chu Yi that had previously been pointed at him and made the entire disciples of Hua Jian Sect feel surprised by the snake's ability to eat the arrows belonging to him Master Chu Yi.

That's not possible! Master Chu Yi was at level seven of the celestial realm. There was no way that big snake could eat the Master's arrow!

Seeing his defeated attack just like that, made Li Chu Yi even more furious. He simply did not accept this defeat and felt that the lives of all the disciples here, were now in his hands.

I can't just lose! For the sake of protecting the disciples, I was even willing to lose all my strength just to protect them!

Li Chu Yi took out a sword lying on the ground and swung it again towards Gu Zhu with his huge snake.

The swing of Li Chu Yi's sword, created a great wind that would tear down the buildings that were in front of him.

The extremely sharp wind movement and being able to split apart whatever was in front of him, made it impossible for Gu Zhu to stay away from the attack. Sure, that sword will kill him!

However, what they had in mind was completely unfulfilled.

Quickly and decisively, the huge snake that was behind Gu Zhu, instantly swung its tail behind him and made a counterattack which resulted in Li Chu Yi's attack failing to kill him.

'Shit! That big snake must be killed quickly!'

Gu Zhu stared at the attack carried out by Li Chu Yi. So low and worth underestimating! How could such a small attack, be able to kill what kind of huge snake was behind Gu Zhu at the moment.

"Master Chu Yi, is this only your ability?" Gu Zhu asked with a slight look down at him. He seemed to be underestimating Li Chu Yi who was currently his opponent.

Li Chu Yi simply fell silent as she looked annoyedly at him. Right now, he was thinking how to defeat Gu Zhu who was currently at level nine of the underworld.

No one could stand against him at the moment and even, neither the Sect disciples nor a Great Master possessed a level equivalent to him! What can be done to kill him?!

"Hm, um,... Master Chu Yi seemed to be at a loss for words,... Alright. Now it's my turn to attack you." Said Gu Zhu while releasing the huge snake that was currently behind him.

The huge snake that had previously eaten his entire arrow, had currently moved towards him with an elongated tongue like it wanted to pounce on him.

Li Chu Yi was only silent in a temporary place, this huge snake was getting closer towards him while opening its huge mouth!

"Master Chu Yi is in danger!" Shouted a disciple who then invited the arrival of Zhao Bingyan who instantly moved quickly pulled Li Chu Yi away from the attack of the huge snake that was about to eat him alive.

Zhao Bingyan's lightning-fast movement that pulled away Li Chu Yi from the attack of the huge snake, managed to make Gu Zhu very surprised to see it. He used a teleportation spell to dodge Gu Zhu's massive snake attack!

'He was at the level of the world below level four. It was a pity, he would rather take care of the sect than take the place of the current king. I'll try to test it for a while. If he satisfies me enough then, I will immediately take it before others precede him.'
