DAMNED GIRL

DAMNED GIRL
47. NEW SHEET, AGAIN

Two more years have passed since my mother's departure

Still clearly remembered when the dark event was Grandma Liana invited me to stay with her while the house we used to occupy she sold at a cheap price so that it sold quickly

At Grandma Liana's house all day went well without the physical and verbal abuse that bothered me mentally like before because Grandma and Grandpa Liana were so kind to me even until I already considered them part of the my biological family.

How not, their good attitude is exactly like Mr. Yanto who softly said his language, his attitude even his love is fair to me they never distinguish me and his biological grandchildren. Even so until now Liana had not felt the slightest jealousy towards me. I am so grateful that they love me.

It's junior high school graduation day for me and Liana. We graduated together even though we were not class champions but we achieved quite good grades

As usual if our dinner was always together, sitting on a floor cross-legged around Grandma's dinner

Although not eating on the dining table but the atmosphere was always warm for me

Me, Liana, Grandma and Grandpa.

It was like a whole family package.

We enjoyed the Grandma dish that she always gave every day even though sometimes the menu is always the same every day but I still enjoy it. I also managed to be here because in this house even I never cooked like before even Grandma who cooked for us.

As usual, I sat down beside Liana and faced Grandma and Grandpa.

But in the middle of dinner Grandma has to say things I don't really like

While taking the side dishes in front of him, Grandma looked at me briefly "Dhira, Grandmother wants to propose to you so that you go to school in Jakarta only" he said

Heard it as if I was frozen "In Jakarta ?" ask me back

Grandma nodded then Grandpa connected "You're going to school in Jakarta and will live at home with his Aunt Liana. Why don't Liana just go there because we can't get far with her" he said

Liana turned her head then looked back at Grandpa and Grandma who were talking seriously.

I don't know why my tears are falling, even if they don't fall.

But apparently Grandma knew that and then she smiled into my eyes deeply in the sense of "Sorry, Oh, Dhira, not that we're expelling you, but it's for your own good so you can go further into the future, you don't have to worry because Aunt Ros is kind" he said it as if trying to make me relieved

Grandpa also snatched the words Grandma "Aunt Ros also had two children, but all her children were boys. But it just so happens that his son has grown up all even working who have not been married" he said "After all, his two children did not live with Aunt Ros because they prefer to rent a house close to his work place. So you just live with Aunt Ros and Om Dudu" he added

Grandma smiled as she nodded in agreement with Grandpa's explanation.

But even though it was good information for me, I still felt uneasy to the point that I did not need to eat so I had thought about the bad things that would happen to me at Aunt Ros's house

But I finally had to go to Jakarta. I went alone with the memories of the past that I hoped would never happen again.

Grandma had a chance to communicate to Aunt Ros about me staying with her. I also talked to him and he promised to pick me up at the Jakarta station.

Today at exactly fifteen zero zero I have arrived at the station agreed by me and Aunt Ros. The noise of the train driving on the tracks next to me was enough to make my hearing disturbed plus I had to find the exit of the crowd of passengers who were scattering to walk quickly blocking my view.

Although there are many signboards but I am confused to follow their directions even stupidly I am even embarrassed to ask anyone who is here.

Finally I decided to sit for a while looking at people who walked in a hurry like chasing something until I finally ventured to ask the people around me

It just so happened that there was a father sitting next to me. His body was thick and black wearing a hat like a mysterious person

"I'm sorry sir I wanted to ask" I said

The father looked at me with a flat face

That's enough to make me nervous

"I want to ask you if the exit is next to where ?" ask me slowly

But the father had not answered anything, he looked at me from the top of my head to the end of my shoes.

Some time he behaved so finally he pointed to the top "Disana, go up first only later you ask the officer. Or don't you see a signboard" point it at the escalator stairs.

I looked at him and then went "Oh there. If so thank you sir" I said while lifting a fairly large tote bag that I brought since

By the way I was put on a ladder that moved by itself, not only did I climb there but many hurriedly wanted to ride it.

To the extent that the other people who had been queuing behind me shouted, the voice of the adult man who was loud enough confirmed that I should have climbed up quickly because behind me there were already many people standing

Others complained because I didn't want to go up.

"Woi hut is up !"

"It's been a long time!"

"I'm ahead of the advance"

Shouts some people interrupted me.

Finally I was more confused to look around me without knowing what I saw and the people who had stood behind me overtake up first

But a mature woman, perhaps twenty years old, approached me kindly, apparently realizing that I needed help

"You're nervous going up the stairs, aren't you ?" ask her while smiling.

I nodded "Yes"

"Byok I help you, where are you going ?" tannya

"You go to Aunt Ros's house" I replied

The woman grinned at his forehead "Who's Bu Ros ?" tannya

"He's my aunt" I replied

"Oh, where is your aunt ?" tannya

"There's at the exit waiting for me" I replied

The woman nodded her head in understanding "Oh, so that means you want to go to the exit, huh ?" he said he reassured his understanding

I nodded "Yes, ma'am" I replied

"I also want to go out, come with me alone" he asked while accompanying me up the stairs that continue to move on their own.

Finally we got to the exit door and the woman told me "I am first yes" she said

I replied with a smile "Yes, thank you" I said

"Sama-sama" he said as he waved his hand and stepped away

From all eyes I looked for Aunt Ros even though I never saw her face.

I slowly stepped outside the station

From a distance I had seen a middle-aged mother dressed in a green shirt and cloth pants stepping towards the station door carrying a piece of paper. His hasty steps were like looking for someone and then opening the sheet of paper and he lifted up high.

It says "Andhira, Aunt Ros"

Seeing him I smiled with relief and went straight to him.

Aunt Ros was aware of my arrival, she was quite relieved by my whereabouts

"Dhira huh ?" he said with a smile

I nodded happily "Iya Bi" I replied

"Are you Dhira ? If you could know whose name your grandmother is ?" tanyakanya.

I think he's testing me

"I forgot Bi, I don't even know. All I know and all I know is that I'm Liana's half-brother. Grandma and Grandpa sent me to Jakarta to continue high school, I will also stay at the house of Aunt Ros and om Dudu" I replied

Aunt Ros nodded in confidence "Okay then you go with Auntie huh. We go home" he asked

I nodded "Iya Bi" I replied
