At the hospital, Sherin kept quiet. Even when people out there flocked to pray that he would recover quickly even though only through social media, none of his family came to see him. Alex has not been seen since Sherin opened her eyes and realized she was in the hospital. It really made him feel hurt. Alex took a breath. Somehow seeing Melisa cry her chest felt tight. It felt like Alex wanted to be in David's position, hugging and calming the troubled Melisa. But Alex knew it was impossible because Alex himself also believed that surely Melisa also hated him given what Alex had been doing to him.
