Chapter 13 - Clash

Arya and Timothy ran down the hallway leading to the veranda of the match arena, after seeing Timothy's anxious face he did not ask anymore about what happened. He had a bad feeling about this, because he had only first seen Timothy's expression like that, he sped up his run so Timothy was a bit overwhelmed to follow him.

Upon arriving at the porch she is greeted by Zayn and Ali, Arya cannot read Zayn's expression but she can see the same worry as Timothy in Ali's eyes. Arya's heart pounded loudly, she knew that the second match was who's match and she very much hoped that everything was fine, she stepped to the edge of the veranda and looked towards the arena.

"How is he doing?" timothy asked with a breath of breath as he tried to follow Arya.

"Bad" Zayn replied softly.

The condition of the arena of the match as recently hit by a great fire, seen at some points the arena was scorched due to the ongoing battle. Right in the middle of the arena stood two people who caused it, Asuna with a battered body and Kevin who looked not injured in the slightest there were only a few charred marks used. Arya was trying to hear what they were talking about.

"When do you want to keep standing like that? Quickly give up the basic bitch" Kevin said cynically.

"Foolish base, where might I give up. I definitely won" Asuna said with a faint smile on her face but her eyes still radiated a burning spirit.

Hearing Asuna's reply Arya held the edge of the veranda firmly until her knuckles turned white. He should not force himself like that, right now Arya could only see him from a distance. What if something bad happens to her. Kevin who also heard Asuna's reply sighed and twisted the mace in his right hand and prepared in an attacking position.

"Then I just need to make you unable to fight anymore" Kevin said with cold eyes.

"Majula—"

Asuna did not have time to finish her words, Kevin approached her with lightning speed and slammed his weapon brutally into all parts of Asuna's body that he could reach with his weapon. Asuna could only take cover with both hands, she tried to get away but Kevin did not give her a chance by getting close to her lightning speed.

Kevin threw a hard blow to Asuna's stomach so that he made himself bend his knees on the floor. Kevin turned his mace again and moved away from Asuna's body. Kevin raised his hand to have Astral examine Asuna's consciousness, as Astral was already seen in the Asuna arena standing up again with blood pouring from her body.

"Hey give up, you're really stubborn. What the hell made you try so hard?" kevin was upset.

"I have no obligation to answer you, I will definitely qualify for the next round"

After saying that Asuna jumped towards the back and pulled her bow, the five flaming arrows were ready to be shot. And just before the arrow was released Kevin was in front of Asuna and smashed her mace into Asuna's stomach and threw Asuna to the ground.

"Collapse"

"Not going"

Asuna tried to reach her bow that was released, but without mercy Kevin kicked the bow away and stomped on Asuna's left hand so hard that Asuna's wrist bone was broken. Asuna screamed in pain as her left hand broke.

"This is your last chance" Kevin threatened while lifting a weapon that had been covered by lightning.

"Do it" Asuna replied with a mocking smile.

"You asked for it, this is why I don't like people like you who were raised with affection. You're the same as that ice boy, you're weak"

Instantly the edge of the veranda that Arya was holding was enveloped by ice, Arya quickly footholded next to her foot on the edge of the veranda ready to plunge into the arena. Timothy, Zayn, and Ali who realize it try to stop him, just before one of them manages to reach for Arya's clothes he has disappeared.

"Damn it!!!" Timothy's curse.

"Goodbye" said Kevin.

Suddenly Kevin's hand stopped in the air before he could smash his weapon at Asuna, his hand was covered with ice. Then he turned his back with a contemptuous look, behind him Arya was walking slowly towards him with a cold gaze that he had never shown anyone before.

"You better stop whatever you want to do right now" Arya said quietly as she pulled the katana from the sheath.

"Heh what does this mean? You're interfering with an ongoing match if you want to disqualify a stupid base" Kevin sneered.

As Kevin replied like that the air in the arena of the match was getting heavier, the protective glass lining around the arena whitened due to the sudden change in air temperature. The spectators turned away from the protective glass with terrified expressions.

"Who let you talk? You here can only answer yes or no" said Arya with cold eyes.

Hearing Arya's reply Kevin then smiled and destroyed the ice covering his hand by lightning in the area, then looked at Arya while saying.

"If I say no, what do you want?"

"I'll slash your neck"

After saying that Arya shot towards Kevin, Kevin also attacked by changing the direction of the attack from Asuna towards Arya. As the two of them were only a meter away suddenly the two boys stopped, precisely being forcibly stopped. Five people had descended into the arena to stop the two of them, consisting of Astral, Liquite, Allucia, Timothy, and Ali.

Astral Watchers standing right in the middle of Arya and Kevin, he faced Arya while pointing right at Arya's face with the index finger of his right hand. While Supervisor Liquite clasped Kevin's neck from behind with one hand and Supervisor Allucia deftly approached Asuna who was in an injured condition.

While Timothy and Ali try to hold Arya to attack Kevin by holding both arms of Arya, they both look quite overwhelmed because Arya is still in revolt.

"Take off" whispered Arya still rebelling.

"Take it easy, my friend" replied Timothy, gritting his teeth.

Then Astral touched Arya's forehead with his index finger immediately the power that came out of Arya disappeared, after the power of his suddenly disappeared Arya also stopped rebelling. Timothy and Ali slowly release both arms of Arya.

"Mr Arya saw what you had done you should have been penalized by being disqualified from this Exam, because you had interrupted the other match"

Hearing the words of the Astral Arya could only bow and be silent, but in his heart he did not feel the slightest remorse for stopping Kevin.

"But we decided not to disqualify you, based on what we saw ourselves. You should not commit such foolish acts if not provoked, provoking it is not a good action Mr Kevin. You can also be disqualified for that" Astral said, turning to look at Kevin.

Kevin was silent and said nothing, but Arya knew from her eyes that she also had no regrets about what she had done.

"So we all decided not to disqualify the two of you, you both qualified for the next round"

After Astral said like that Timothy and Ali let out a sigh of relief, but Arya just kept quiet and said nothing. He did not care about it, right now all he wanted was to beat Kevin like what he had done to Asuna.

Kevin quickly managed to escape from Liquite's embrace, he then walked past Arya with a wailing smile on his face.

"Until we meet in the next round of ice boys"

Then he walked out of the arena without looking back. Supervisor Liquite immediately followed him but before leaving he spoke to Arya.

"I'm sorry Mr. Arya, I should have been able to educate my foster children better. Again I'm sorry" he said, then rushed after Kevin.

"How is he doing?" arya asked worriedly.

"Not good, he is unconscious we have to be quick. Can---"

Before Allucia finished her words Arya had already carried Asuna, Then the two of them immediately set off for the treatment room. Timothy and Ali were about to help but Arya stopped them on the grounds that they still had a game to do, they gave up trying to help.

Arya sat next to Asuna's bed in the treatment room, after Allucia examined Asuna and gave her first aid she immediately returned to the arena so that the same incident did not happen again. He surrendered Asuna's protection to Arya.

Arya's current feelings were mixed, she was very sorry to see Asuna's current condition. Since he knew what was the cause of Asuna not wanting to give up in the match against Kevin, he kept his promise to Arya. The two of them had promised to compete in the next round and saw the stubborn nature of Asuna Arya knew that she was the one who did not draw her words.

Indeed, from the beginning Arya had not liked Kevin, but this time he really has passed. All the words he spoke against Asuna were still ringing in Arya's ears, but all his irritation at Kevin at this moment disappeared instantly after seeing Asuna's unconscious condition.

"Allucia said maybe she won't be conscious for some time, but until when?"

"Did Kevin do this to Asuna?" ask Elizabeth.

Arya did not answer the question, she only responded to the question with a small nod. Then Elizabeth's embrace grew tighter.

"I don't want to see my sister crying, if there's anything I can help Arya just tell her"

Arya quickly let go of Elizabeth's embrace and turned to face her, because of the sudden movement Elizabeth screeched in shock.

"Elizabeth?"

"Eh? i.i..iya?"

"In the next two weeks I want to ask for your help"

"Whatis that? If I could I would help you"

"Please accompany me to training for the next round, I want to beat Kevin. Please" Arya said, holding Elizabeth's hands tightly.

Elizabeth looked surprised for a while, then a warm smile flashed across her face. He nodded with great enthusiasm.

"Sure, I will definitely help you"

"Thank you, and one more thing Elizabeth. Why are you calling me Arya's sister?" ask Arya.

"mmm? Didn't you promise to be my sister?" elizabeth answered, sticking out her tongue.

As Arya had said before this Trial began, the ones that qualified for the semifinal round were the four male Elementalists. Although in fact he is not too sure this will actually happen, in the previous two games Zayn managed to beat Lexa and Timothy also managed to beat Rena. So the next sequence of games is he's going to play Kevin and Timothy is going to play Zayn.

If the Asuna incident did not happen it was possible that he would greatly enjoy this Examination, but this time it was different. He will fight to his best against Kevin, this is not the time to enjoy the fight. He has to win.

"Today finally arrives" Timothy said satisfied.

"Why do you look so happy?" ask Arya flat.

"Huh? Why are you asking? Isn't it obvious?"

They both just came out of the dressing room to follow the next round of matches, outside the room they had been awaited by Elizabeth and Rena.

"Do you know what it's like when all of a sudden the air temperature gets cold and electric when you're in a room? To be honest, mealtime was the worst thing I've had in the last two weeks. Aren't we?" timothy asked Elizabeth and Rena.

"Whispering" Arya and Elizabeth said together in a cold tone.

"You are both very evil, it is only Rena who is angel-hearted in this place" said Timothy while holding Rena's shoulder.

Rena just smiled at him, after which Timothy left first for the arena to get ready to watch the match between Arya and Kevin. He left Arya with Elizabeth and Rena.

"How are you doing?" ask Elizabeth.

"It's never been better than this" Arya replied with a smile.

"Mmm Arya?" call Rena.

"What's Rena doing?" arya asked, actually she was a little confused why Rena approached her at this time.

"A.a.a.I want to tell you something about Kevin, actually he's a very---"

Arya stopped Rena before she finished her words by raising one finger.

"Please Rena, can we talk about this next time? I don't want my concentration on this match to go away" Arya said softly.

Rena seemed to hesitate for a while, but she finally gave up and let out a long sigh.

"Alright I understand, forgive me" Rena said with a bow.

"You don't have to apologize, you didn't do anything wrong" Arya replied as she walked past the two of them.

"Good luck, Arya!" elizabeth shouted while waving her hands.

"Good luck" Rena said as well.

Arya returned a wave of hands from the two of them with a smile, then turned her body and continued her steps towards the arena of the match. The smile disappeared from his face.
