Chapter 32 - Animals, Potions, and Materials

"K...ke...why did we end up at the North Pole?!" asked Rena while taking a deep breath.

"It seems like this is not the right time to explain it" Arya replied while trying to tidy up her luggage.

"A.a.hhh yes you are right, we must find shelter first" said Rena with her head turned to and fro.

The place where they were standing was currently enveloped by ice, far away from being seen several mountains towering into space. The snowflakes continued to fall on their heads, forming small piles that looked like winter hats.

"That's how, I think we can find a cave or something like that around there" pointed Arya towards the north.

"Hm....Arya?" call Rena slowly.

"I.l.iya?" sahut Arya fast.

"Are you okay?" asked Rena with a worried look.

"T.te..of course! Why are you asking that?"

"Your face is so red, are you sure you're okay?"

"What reaction would you expect from a man whose first kiss was just witnessed by hundreds of people a moment ago" Arya lamented.

"Ah..." cried Rena while looking understood what happened, he then began to walk slowly. As he passed by Arya he interrupted slowly "Mmm.but, you seem to be enjoying it"

"Nothing, forget it" Rena replied as she continued walking away.

"Hey Rena! Waita minute! Do you know which way we're going?!" call Arya while hurrying after Rena.

Arya walked in front as a guide for Rena, the snow that fell grew heavier and the wind also began to blow faster. Their visibility is getting limited.

"Bpr...Arya?" call Rena with a little scream so that her voice can be heard.

"Hmm?"

"Did you just ask if an Ice Elementalist was feeling cold?" look at Arya with a tone of astonished voice.

Rena responded with a quick nod while continuing to hug her hand, Arya could see her body shivering due to the low temperature of the air in that place.

They continue their journey in silence, but suddenly Arya raises her hand to hint to Rena to stop. Arya then swooped her knees while touching the ice-covered surface they were on.

"What's wrong?" asked Rena confused.

"There is something buried in this place, Rena please take care of my things for a while" said Arya while taking off her luggage one by one.

After Rena stood far enough away while carrying the items, Arya put up the horses while making a pose like she wanted to open something. He took a slow breath and stretched both hands.

The instant the place shook, the ice in that place seemed to shift towards the edge. Arya continued to repeat the movement several times until finally a shallow hole was formed in front of her. When it was done, Arya immediately waved towards Rena.

"Rena?! I thought you should see this?" call Arya with an urgent tone of voice.

Rena immediately runs into a fist while holding Arya's luggage, when she sees something in the shallow hole. He gasped slowly.

"It's right?!"

Rena entered a cave mouth while looking at her surroundings carefully. After making sure everything was safe he immediately put his luggage, then threw his gaze once again towards the mouth of the cave.

"Is he okay?" asked Rena worriedly.

"He's still alive, but in critical condition" Arya replied as she entered the cave.

Behind Arya was a flat ice block that followed him, on top of the ice, lying a four-legged animal that was dying.

Arya moved the chunk of ice with her hand, and placed it in one corner of the cave. Then he immediately put down his things.

"Rena, can you grow Sun Ginseng, Mint Blood, Burning Ginger, Pepper Hell, and Sky Cumin Tea?" ask Arya quickly.

"Huh? You want me to grow Magical Plants?" Rena asked back in wonder.

"That's it, can't it?"

"It could be, I happened to learn some of the Magical Plants you just mentioned and many more before leaving for the Examination. Because I thought it would be useful"

"Good" said Arya while directing her hand to one corner of the other cave, immediately the ice there melted and showed a large enough loose soil. "You can grow it there, we have to be quick"

Rena immediately did as Arya ordered, while Arya collected the wood she brought from Fairy Forest. He began to swipe the stone to light the fire.

"This is the reason why I brought these woods, actually I shouldn't bother. Because we've brought a good piece of firewood here" Arya said as she glanced at Rena.

Rena immediately pulled the branch of the Hellig tree nearby, then hugged it tightly while pouting and threw a suspicious look towards Arya.

"Hahaha you don't have to look at me like that Rena" Arya chuckled softly.

Rena then began to take out something that looks like plant seeds from her waist bag, she planted five seeds of the plant. Then touching the ground where the seeds were planted five times, Arya could slowly see the stalks of plants growing there.

"It's actually the first time I've done it, so I don't know if the result will be what you want" Rena said as she continued to point her hand at the plants.

"It's okay, what's important is that we've tried"

"Mmm...What do you want to use these plants for?"

"I want to make a potion for that poor creature" Arya replied with sweat filling her face.

"Make potions?! Did Supervisor Gustav teach you that?"

"Then?"

Arya began to tell about an old book she had found in the Library, it contained a collection of potions filled with scribbles. At first he was not interested, but after reading one page. He continued to read the book until it ran out. I don't know why the book feels like it has a magnetic force that makes Arya always want to know the continuation of each sheet.

"The book is now stored in my room" Arya finished her story.

"You stole a book from the library?" rena wonder.

"The book does not belong to the Library" continued Arya.

"When I wanted to borrow it, it turned out that it had never been recorded as a Library book. So. I took her with me"

"But isn't the skill of making that potion--"

"Right, the abilities belong to the Alchemists. And I don't know when the last time they've ever been seen"

Rena without delay again, immediately harvested and brought the materials that Arya had requested before. Arya began to pound and put the ingredients one by one into the cauldron, he several times stopped briefly to measure the dose of the ingredients whether it was right or not.

Then he began to raise the cauldron on the fire, he continued to stir the cauldron somehow. When he felt that enough was enough, he pointed his right hand towards the cauldron and drained Agnet sufficiently there.

After five minutes, there was a sudden explosion. From inside the cauldron appeared red smoke with a very sharp aroma that made Arya and Rena cough.

"Do...we fail?" asked Rena while covering her nose.

"No, this scent even indicates that the ingredients are successful" Arya exclaimed enthusiastically.

Arya then poured the contents of the cauldron into a small glass bottle, a thick yellowish liquid immediately filled the bottle. Arya smiled at the results of her work, it seemed like she had a talent in concocting potions.

"What is the function of the potion?" asked Rena again while staring at the liquid with a gabugan expression between interested and alert.

Arya then told him that this herb called Sun-Tears Liquid, this herb serves to increase the body temperature of the drinker significantly. Suitable for treating someone affected by hypothermia. Initially Arya doubts the function of this herb, but after being told by Rea and Gustav about the effects of its main ingredients. He felt that this potion might work.

"I didn't expect, we made a potion just for a horse" Rena sings quietly.

"Oh.. come on, can you not equate a 'Pegasus' with an ordinary horse?"

"Alright it seems like it's time to rest, it turns out that making the potion is very tiring" said Arya while yawning.

Arya then immediately drew closer to the bonfire and sat nearby, Rena immediately followed him without making a sound. Their position is now opposite the campfire as the separator, Arya sighed softly then smiled as she said.

"As long as we wait for drowsiness, I'd better explain why we're here"

Because of the magnitude of the war, it is rumored that the two project brothers disappeared. The project is known as the North Blue Frozen Crystal, while the project is known as the South Black Winter Diamond.

"Right, that's why I suggest that we look for your Elemental Weapon materials first. Because I want to make the North Blue Frozen Crystal and the South Black Winter Diamond my Elemental Weapon material" Arya exclaimed with a smile.
