Chapter 18 - The Truth to Be Received

Arya walked with light steps in the hallways of the Research Center as if she had gotten used to the place, when in fact she was still often lost. The place was still full of mysteries for him, he kept walking and stopped at one of the doors he believed to be the place he was headed to. Then he knocked on the door three times.

"Come in"

After hearing the answer from behind the door he immediately opened it and finally saw a middle-aged man who was smiling kindly at him. He returned the smile and bowed his body, saying.

"Not seen you in a long time, Dad"

"There's no need to duck like that, raise your head up Arya"

Arya immediately followed the orders of her father, Pak Hartoso has not changed too much since the last time he met with Arya. It's just that the gray hair on his head was more than the last time Arya remembered, the man looked a little tired like he was having a lot of thoughts. Arya can realize that easily but she deliberately did not say anything because Pak Hartoso was seen trying to hide it.

"May I know why you suddenly came to this place?" ask Arya at last.

"I just want to congratulate you on your success, I watched the last game and it was amazing" Mr. Hartoso replied enthusiastically.

"Thank you, actually I won just because I was lucky" Arya replied while scratching her head with a smile.

"You've been humbling Arya too much, and I've come here not only to congratulate her. I also want to meet you, not just me anyway" said Mr. Hartoso as he pointed behind Arya's back.

Right after Pak Hartoso pointed back, the door behind Arya was closed. Arya immediately turned her head and saw her foster sister Reika was looking at her with a strange expression. The mixture of sad and angry into one, his eyes watering and his face looking crimson. He immediately walked with agile steps towards Arya and began to hit Arya slowly.

"Ah...hello Reika" greeted Arya in a soft voice.

"Big brother....evil........evil......!" isak Reika slowly.

"Evil? Why am I being the bad guy?" ask Arya.

When Arya asked that question, Reika exploded.

"Sister still asking?! Why did you never visit me? Why hasn't my sister been telling me this for the past three months? Brother knows how worried I am? I went to my sister's house but it turned out that it was rented to someone else, then I went to my sister's school and it turns out they said that my sister had stopped there. Then I went on a hunger strike to force Dad to tell me where you are now"

After saying all that Reika stopped, it seemed like she was a little out of breath after taking out everything she had stored for these past three months. Then he stepped closer and hugged Arya tightly, Arya then patted the head of her adoptive sister to calm her down.

"I'm sorry for making you worry" Arya said as she stroked Reika's head.

"Foolish sister" Reika replied slowly.

Arya continued to stroke her foster sister's head until she calmed down, after a long time Reika then turned her head and looked at Arya's face with a serious look.

"What exactly is my sister doing here?" reika asked while tilting her head.

Arya immediately looked at Pak Hartoso, Pak Hartoso immediately blinked his eyes twice. He immediately understood. As Arya expected, Reika did not know what Arya was doing here and did not know that Arya was an Elementalist. Her sister only knew that she was doing something in this place.

"I'm just doing the job Dad gave me" he replied with a face as reassuring as possible.

"What kind of task?" ask Reika again.

"Ra-ha-sia" spelled Arya and touched her sister's nose.

"Eh? Cheating! You can't keep anything from me, you know after Dad told you that you were here I started to find out about this place. Many of my friends say that this place is a brain sanctification and so on"

"Let's calm I didn't do anything weird" Arya assured Reika.

Then Reika begins to tickle Arya, to force her to tell her what she really did. They started tickling each other with laughter. Reika seemed to have calmed down, Mr. Hartoso just smiled at the behavior of his two children. Suddenly the door of the room opened.

"Arya, the Astral Watchdog is looking----"

Asuna did not finish her sentence when she saw Arya and Reika hugging each other while laughing, Arya also stopped laughing. He felt a chill on his back after seeing Asuna's cynical gaze.

"Hi Asuna, it's not like you're li--" Arya said quickly while keeping Reika away from her body.

"Explain" said Asuna softly.

But before Arya could explain, Reika first approached Asuna and looked at her up close.

"You who? Why do you know my sister?" ask Reika.

"Sister?! How many people actually call you ka---"

"SHE'S MY SISTER!" that's what Arya was trying to say without a voice to Asuna, then Arya pointed from Reika then towards Pak Hartoso who was in the middle of the room.

"Oh.." said Asuna in the end, she seemed to understand.

"Oh?" reset Reika.

"Ah...hello introduce my name Asuna, I am your sister's co-worker" Asuna replied with a smile.

Arya breathed a sigh of relief. He thought there would be unwanted things.

"Hello Kak Asuna, sister's co-worker huh?" reika said with a face that looked uncertain.

"Hello Asuna, are you a big boy?" greet Mr. Hartoso suddenly.

"Hello Mr. President" Asuna replied with a smile and bowed.

"Eh? Do you know each other?" arya asked in shock as she looked at Pak Hartoso and Asuna in turn.

"Of course, I met with Asuna a lot during a visit to Prime Minister Hiroshi. You grew up to be the beautiful woman Asuna"

"Thank you for your praise, Mr. President"

"Oh yes and thank you for helping Arya during her time here"

"Ah not really, Arya also often helps me"

"The right opening always helps?" chirps Arya slow.

Soon Asuna poked Aryan's ribs with her elbow. It seemed that after hearing the words from her father, Reika began to believe that Arya and Asuna were working on something in that place so that she did not ask any more. Arya just found out that Asuna and Pak Hartoso know each other, it makes her a little surprised. But that's not too important.

"Sir Asuna?" call Reika suddenly.

"Eh? Huh yeah?" answer Asuna kindly.

"Son, mine" Reika said with an expression like declaring war.

"Eh ap----"

"I'm sorry, Dad and Reika, I think I should leave because I just got called. Actually I'm pretty busy, I'll call you guys soon. Dah" cut Arya fast while pushing Asuna out of the room.

Arya closed the door and started walking with Asuna, Asuna looked a little annoyed.

"Hey didn't your dad visit today?" ask Arya.

"Yes, I'm on my way to his place. Why why?" ask Asuna cuek.

"I'll come with you"

Suddenly Asuna's steps stopped. Arya was also forced to stop, Arya was already ahead how many steps from her.

"Why do you want to meet my father? Don't you wanna fuck----"

"Me....?" arya was confused.

"Forget it" Asuna said as she walked ahead of Arya.

After Arya and Asuna arrived at the place where Prime Minister Masamune was, they sat next to Asuna's adoptive father. Mr. Hasamune looked at Arya with a friendly look, he looked a little surprised when he saw his daughter coming with Arya. Asuna who was sitting next to Arya just kept quiet and sat politely as if she was waiting for something important, Arya was a little confused as to why she was acting that way.

"So what need does the Elementalist Chief want to meet me?" ask Masamune with a smile.

"I don't want to linger so I'll just get to the point, I want to ask you something Mr. Masamune" Arya replied seriously.

"Of course, if I can, I will fulfill your request"

"This is something important"

"What is it important?"

"So I want-----"

Asuna quickly poked Arya's ribs with her elbow so that Arya could not finish her words, then she brought her lips closer to Arya's ear while whispering.

"Hey! What exactly do you want to ask my father?" hissing slowly.

"Shut up and listen! Why are you shoving my ribs? Sick knows"

"Whisper! Quickly tell me what you really want to ask my dad, lest you really want to mela----"

"Mela...?" cut Arya with a confused expression.

"Of course everything is fine Dad" Asuna replied with the best smile she could make.

"Thank God, then, let's hear your request Arya"

"Listen Mr. Masamune, I would like to ask you to allow Asuna to use the rapier and practice Fencing again" Arya replied firmly.

Asuna and Mr. Masamune looked surprised at Arya's request, Asuna then looked at her father's face with a curious look. He wondered what his father's response to Arya's request was like. Master Masamune raised his eyebrows and looked at Arya seriously.

"May I know why you're asking for it?"

"You certainly know Asuna never unconscious for a long time due to the match, right? I think that's because Asuna forced herself to use the arrow as you asked her to" Arya explained.

"I don't want Asuna to get hurt"

"The thing you don't think hurt him is what actually hurt him"

Asuna just silently heard the debate between Arya and her father, she did not know what to say.

"Actually I have a reason that I never told anyone about why I didn't allow Asuna to play Fencing again" said Mr. Masamune, curling up his sleeves.

Arya also saw a terrible scar on her right wrist, the wound was healed but, the scar she left still showed that it used to be a severe wound.

"I used to play Fencing too, which is why I got this wound. This wound caused me to be unable to hold the rapier anymore, and because of practicing Fencing I also lost my brother. That's why I don't want Asuna to practice Fencing, I'm afraid she'll experience the same thing"

Arya was silent for a moment hearing Mr. Masamune's story, she had to think about what she had to say next. The man looked a little sad after reminiscing about his past.

"But shouldn't you start believing in your daughter? He really likes Fencing and great use rapier I dare to guarantee it, he also does not dislike archery anyway actually. So what if he used both weapons?" aryan Advice.

"May I know why you're so penduliar of this Arya?" ask Mr. Masamune.

"Because I don't want him to get hurt"

Mr. Masamune smiled then let out a long sigh.

"Alright I allow it, but on one condition you must remain careful"

"Dad, thank you" cried Asuna as she stood up from her seat and hugged her father.

"Sama-sama" said Mr. Masamune while stroking his son's head.

Arya smiled seeing the father and son finally being able to understand each other. After that Mr. Masamune immediately moved from his seat to leave immediately, because he had a lot of business to do. Before leaving the room he stopped and turned to Arya.

"Arya I also put conditions on you, please take care of Asuna"

"Eh?!!" asuna nodded

"Of course, I will do my best" Arya replied as she lowered her head.

"You're a good Aryan, it looks like President Hartoso educated you well"

"I'm not that good, you're too much sir"

"I am grateful that my son-in-law is a very good person" said Mr. Masamune.

"Eh? A daughter-in-law?" arya is confused.

"Ahahaha Dad should we leave soon, don't you have some business to do? Aye? Aye? Then come on, we should hurry. Arya I will take my father back first yes, yes" Asuna said hurriedly as she pushed her father out of the room and slammed the door hard.

"A strange family" whispered Arya softly with a flat face while holding her chin.

Arya still had one more business before meeting Astral, she darted towards the door of the room and without permission just entered the room. The people inside were shocked when he entered, inside the room were four people. Two people sat facing each other and two more people stood behind one of the two people sitting.

"Captain?! What are you doing....?" kevin gasps when he sees Arya trespassing.

Arya immediately sat next to Kevin and saw the man in front of him, the man wearing a work coat covered in a leather jacket that looks expensive. Behind him two large bodyguards wearing the same suit that person was wearing, the two of them also wore sunglasses. Honestly, they look intimidating.

"Oh...What is this? I'm so flattered that the Elementalist Chief came to see me, but he doesn't seem to have the manners" George Washington criticized with a cruel face.

"Sorry but I don't need manners to meet you Mr. Washington, I'll get straight to the point. Your guardian's rights over Kevin have been revoked" Arya said calmly.

As everyone in the room looked surprised, Kevin looked at Arya with a look of disbelief. And Arya was slightly satisfied to see the arrogant smile disappear from Mr. Washington's face.

"What are you talking about, boy?" ask Mr. Washington in a cold tone.

"As you've heard, your rights as Kevin's guardian have been revoked by me"

"What right do you have to do that? Who do you think you are?!" snarled Mr. Washington.

"I am the current generation Elementalist Leader, and as the chairman I am obliged to resolve the issues of the other Elementalists" Arya replied casually.

"What's the reason you revoked my guardian's right?!" asked Mr. Washington with an annoyed expression that was very visible on his face.

"Why are you still asking? Don't you know the reason for that? You have done illegal research on Elementalist for your own personal interests, if Kevin succeeds in becoming the Elementalist Chairman you will use his position to reap the greatest profit" explained Arya.

Mr. Washington's temples were throbbing, his face reddened with mounting anger and he whispered to his bodyguard.

"Shoot him" orders Mr. Washington.

"But Lord he is........"

"I said shoot him!!!" snapped it.

It happened so quickly, maybe the eyes of ordinary people could not see what was happening. But Arya could see all of those incidents closely, the two bodyguards took out both their pistols and fired bullets at Arya. But Kevin quickly caught both bullets and destroyed the weapons used by the two bodyguards and returned to Arya in less than a second.

"I will not forgive anyone who attacks the Captain, even if the one who attacks it is Father" Kevin said while destroying two bullets he held.

"Basic child does not know himself! Who do you think raised you?! I will report this, I will definitely report this to the United Nations" Mr. Washington said as he stood up from his seat.

"So you want to report me to the UN? Go ahead, but it seems you're a little late. I've sent a letter to the United Nations to arrest you on charges of conducting illegal research on humanity's most valuable assets, so you should be prepared to receive a summons for a hearing upon arrival at home" arya said with a smile.

"I will definitely repay you! Catch that!" he shouted while walking out of the room followed by his two bodyguards.

"It seems like I also have to report it for attempted murder" Arya said with a sigh.

"Captain me......"

"It's okay, don't think about it. I have business with Astral so I go first, bye" Arya said as she patted Kevin on the shoulder and stepped away leaving Kevin alone in the room.

Arya walked into the Training Hall, Asuna said that Astral was waiting for her at that place. Sure enough he saw Astral standing waiting in the middle of the room, Astral just turned his head towards him after their distance was only a few meters away. Then he looked at Arya with a smile.

"What do you need to call me Supervisor?" arya was confused.

"There really isn't anything in particular, I just want to give you something" Astral replied as he reached into his suit pocket.

From the pocket Astral took out a piece of photo that seemed old enough, he thrust it on Arya. Arya immediately approached and took the photo from Astral's hand, photographed with twenty people. Ten adults and ten children who according to Arya are around 10-15 years old.

"This..no-don't.." said Arya while staring at Astral.

"Right, it was a photo of the previous generation Elementalists. And your mother, Miss Lyan is in the middle of that crowd"

Arya looked at the photo more closely, she saw a very beautiful woman standing in the middle of other adults. She has eyes that are exactly like Arya, her hair looks like a noble from Europe. She braided her hair and tied it around the back of her head, smiling happily as she ruffled the hair of a boy who looked very unphotographed. I don't know why Arya feels familiar with the boy.

"What is this too." said Arya while looking at Astral again.

"Truely, the ten little ones that were photographed were the current Tenth Examination Supervisor. And the child who is being ruffled by your mother's hair is me" Astral replied before Arya could finish her question.

"Wow, is this man Asuna's father?" arya asked while pointing at the man standing next to her mother.

"Yes, it's Mr. Alex. And may I know how you know he's Miss Asuna's father?"

"Okay, it's just that I caught a glimpse of his eyes. It looked like Asuna's eyes when she was angry" Arya replied with a laugh.

"I already know why you're here, but I'm sorry maybe this is all I can give you"

"Actually I've realized for a long time, my mother may not be in this world anymore. But I'm so happy that after you showed me this photo of the Supervisor, I'm increasingly convinced that my mother is a great person. Thank you I am so grateful to be here" Arya said with a smile and thrust the photo back to Astral.

"Don't I tell you I want to give you something? So you don't have to give it back" Astral refused.

"But isn't this photo valuable to you?"

"Of course it's worth it, it's one of my memories with my teacher. But I know that you have more right to have it than I do" Astral said as he leaned over and stepped away from the Training Hall.

After Astral left, Arya spent his time looking at the photo while guessing who the people were photographed. He fell asleep in the Training Hall, and was forced to be awakened by Asuna with an annoyed expression the next day.
