Chapter 55 - Giant Purple Centipede

Arya stared at the bonfire she had made with Lexa in silence, thinking hard about M's last message for the two of them. Meanwhile, not far from her Lexa and Rake ate their dinner voraciously.

Arya had given up on asking the master and the pet to help her find answers, just wasting her energy she thought.

Instantly he felt as if the giant padlock inside his head had simply opened, wasting energy? Don't believe in the Deceiver? The red veil mistake? The three sentences swirled in his head and finally came up with a most reasonable conclusion.

"Lexa? I don't know what about you, but....have you heard the story of the Little Red-Hawed Girl as a child?" Arya asked without taking her eyes off the flames.

"Bas rude, of course I've heard of it. You think I'm a Broken Home kid or something?" Lexa puffed her cheeks in annoyance.

"Eee....theoretically we should all be Broken Home, did you forget that we were ten orphans?"

"Alright whatever, if we discuss this then it will never be finished" Arya cut quickly.

"Pack yourself who started it" Lexa said.

Arya sighed to calm herself down, "On the story of the Little Red Hooded Girl do you remember who became the Cheater?"

"The Wolf, right?"

"Rubber, what do you think the Red Hooded Little Girl did wrong in that story?"

"Trust the Wolf?" lexa hesitated.

"That's right, so....?"

"So....?"

"Ugh...You still don't understand what we should do?"

"How could I possibly understand if you were to give such an abstract explanation!"

Arya patted her eel tired, she almost ran out of patience facing this slow girl.

"Huh....., you've seen my Guide Vision form when fighting against Hollows before, haven't you?"

"Humm" Lexa nodded firmly and tilted her head indicating she still did not understand.

"What animal is that?" arya asked once more in the tone of the voice of the Kindergarten teacher.

"Not Seri—Oh....!? I understand now! So all we have to do is not follow your Guide Vision, right? But wait a minute, then how do we find the Ice Temple then? By walking in the opposite direction?"

"Bingo!" arya replied while flicking her finger in satisfaction.

The next day Arya and Lexa begin to continue their search, at the beginning of the journey Arya chose the road randomly because it does not have the slightest clue. After some time since he started walking he finally saw the creature again.

The white wolf sat quietly while looking back at Arya, its current position at the crossroads that Arya and Lexa were about to cross. After being silent for a while, he immediately got up and walked further and further away then disappeared in one direction of the intersection.

Seeing that, Arya immediately pulled Lexa in the opposite direction without saying anything. Lexa who was shocked due to the sudden change of direction could only frown in annoyance.

"We turn to the right" Arya ordered.

"Eh?! Tell dong earlier!" Lexa started protesting.

"Well how else? The appearance of Guide Vision is random"

"At least you can tell me you're looking at it, right?"

"That's troubling" said Arya did not care.

"Huh?! You said mere—"

"How about we just join hands" Arya gave advice while sticking out her right hand.

"Eh!?"

Lexa's steps stopped, she saw Arya's hand deeply as if she had just seen and heard what it was holding hands. Slowly he began to try to reach Arya's right hand.

But just before their hands touched, Lexa immediately pulled him back with a flushed face while shouting.

"I can't!"

"Huh? Why?" Arya looked over with a surprised face.

"I can't! Why are we holding hands anyway? Basic mode!" lexa exclaimed while pointing at Arya's face.

Arya looked back at him with a blank look that made Lexa even more misbehaving.

"Wouldn't hand in hand we both move more effectively? You don't need to be directed by me and I don't need to tell you when I saw the wolf either.

And as for mode, why are you just taking issue hand in hand? Who do you think booked a room for the two of us at the Underground Paradise Inn huh? Who's the mode here?"

"Lalalala I don't hear, I don't hear. I also don't want to join hands with you" Lexa closed her ears while turning her face away.

The two of them continued their journey in such a manner, several times Arya again saw her Guide Vision showing the direction of the road. But he immediately went in the opposite direction.

Upon second thought, it seemed like the white wolf was a little different from most Guide Vision. He could be seen by M and Lexa, even being able to fight against a level 5 Hollow.

"Is he not a guide? Rather than radar to find out where the Hollows are"

Arya does feel a little awkward because she and Lexa have not met a single Hollow again since starting this search. Maybe it is because the direction indicated by the wolf is indeed the Hollow area.

One more thing that makes Arya a little astonished, Lexa who is usually chatty for some reason from starting to walk by holding the end of the Aryan robe, just silent and noiseless. Finally they both arrived in front of a tall shrub covered in frost.

"It looks like Ice Temple is in—<TAG1>"

Lexa did not respond, she was still silent while sticking her head on Arya's back.

Suddenly Lexa embraces Arya from behind, she hugs Arya's body while continuing to cling to her back.

"Huh? What's wrong with you? Are you sick?" arya asked once more in confusion.

"Don't look!" Lexa exclaimed as she forced Arya's gaze back towards the front.

Forced Arya just keep quiet to obey the girl's wishes until finally she whispered softly in Arya's ear.

"After I thought again.your body turned out to be warm as well"

"Of course it's warm, I'm not dead yet" Arya replied flatly.

"You're why the hell?" Arya raised next to her eyebrows a sign of wonder.

"Hmm? Whatchu mean? Let's hurry up basic sluggish"

Finished saying that he immediately walked first to break through the thickets before him without waiting for Arya. Arya looked at the girl's back getting further away while sighing.

"Huh..seems like I.. will never understand the contents of a woman's head"

"If it's my advice, sir, you better start trying or at least trying to understand from now on"

"Hmm? Tumben you commented" Arya was quite surprised because suddenly Mandalika slapped so deep in her head.

"Eee...how ya? It's just that I have a hunch that Mister continues this way, it will even trouble yourself for the future" Mandalika laughed awkwardly which made Arya's facial expression even more confused.

Just when they had just come out of the thickets, the two were faced by the sight of a gigantic castle-shaped building made of ice. The spirit of Arya is growing because of it.

Just as he was about to make the first move, there was a strange sensation shrouding his body. Directly the eyes and the entire body of Arya gave off a bluish light. The incident happened and ended very quickly.

"What's wrong?" ask Lexa who at least understood Arya's condition just now.

"I can feel it. We are in the right place" said Arya with a satisfied smile.

"Finally you guys showed up too, is my advice useful?"

The two of them immediately turned their heads and saw M appear with his orange umbrella. The girl walked very leisurely towards them as if it did not matter where they were at the moment.

"Thank you for the advice, very useful. How should I repay him?" Arya approached and stroked the little girl's head.

"That's not necessary, after all my brother once fed me that time. Eee...and also...." M started scratching the back of his head that was not itchy.

"Hmm? What's up?" Lexa was a little surprised to see the giraffe M.

M then pointed at the Ice Temple while asking "Sister two want to enter the building right?"

Arya and Lexa then noticed the Ice Temple once again. But even though it has been stared at long enough they still do not understand what M means by the guard.

"I didn't see anything guarding the building" Lexa said as she tilted her head.

"Eh? Didn't you see anything strange on the building's support ground?"

"Indeed the purplish-colored land there is not unusual but—"

"eeee....The lexa? I don't think it's land, because I remember the ground can't squirm like that" Arya started to feel uncomfortable.

"Wiggling? Can't land it—DIA SQUIRMING?! What kind of land is that?!"

"That's not the land, that's a giant squint" the sight just made it harder for Arya to swallow her saliva.

"His name is Colossal Violet Centipede, one of the most dangerous creatures in this place"

"What a cool name!"

"Why are you excited? You idiot!" Arya pinned Lexa's head in annoyance.

The three of them were observing the giant insect from a distance. With the giant centipedes there, it would take them more time to enter the Ice Temple. After all, Arya herself does not know how to deal with these vicious creatures.

"I have a plan, but I need help from you two" M looked at the two seriously.

He then explained to them that he was able to finish off the Colossal Violet Centipede with a special technique. But the problem is that the technique requires a long time preparation and the ability to aim M is also not too good.

"So all you have to do is hold the creature for a while and the rest I'll finish on my own" M ended his explanation with a sweet smile.

Finally they quietly thought once again of a way to keep the centipede out of its nest.

"We need people who are small enough, can move quickly, and can be relied upon" Lexa said slowly.

Directly the gaze of Arya and M's eyes moved and stopped right in Lexa's lap.

"Eh?! What's with your eyes? Hahaha...you can't possibly think to—you're serious?!!"

"Ugh...in case something happens to Rake you're the one responsible" whined Lexa a few minutes later.

"Yes-iya, later I will find another hamster that is funnier than the mole rat" said Arya origin.

"That's not what I mean! Arya is stupid Arya is stupid Arya is stupid.." she shakes Arya's body while continuing to protest.

Arya chose to be quiet and did not care about it. Moments later the tremors on the ground made Arya's eyes look solemn, she immediately reached for Mandalika's hilt and prepared to attack.

"Come!"

Far away they can see Rake is running as hard as possible to avoid the pursuit of the terrible creatures behind him. Lexa without waiting anymore directly protected her Elemental Beast.

He held back the Colossal Violet Centipede with both hands, then slowly clamped the creature's sharp fangs and broke them with a single loud bang. The centipede let out a growl of pain as it opened its mouth towards Lexa.

"Frozen Walls"

Arya makes a wall of ice in time to protect Lexa from the acidic liquid fired by Colossal Violet Centipede.

"Huh?! He can shoot acid?! Why didn't you guys say that from earlier!? If he shot it while I was holding his fangs just now I could have—"

"And you didn't ask, Kamaitachi!"

Arya appeared before the centipede with Mandalika who was ready to be uprooted, he used the Kamaitachi technique by circling the creature to make the centipede legs fall off one by one.

"Sorry Shu-sensei, I used this technique again. The situation was urgent" Inner Arya regretted.

He landed right above the Colossal Violet Centipede. Just as the creature was about to turn towards Arya who was above her body, Lexa shot up from a height and hit her head hard.

He then raises two giant arms from the rock to resist the movement of the top of the centipede.

"Your turn" he exclaimed as he turned to Arya.

Arya once again shot into the air, she tipped over and then kicked the handle of Mandalika's sword hard. The blade stuck on the back of the purple centipede, then Arya landed on Mandalika to make the sword stick deeper.

Slowly but surely the grains of ice began to envelop the body of the Colossal Violet Centipede, the creature was a persistent beast. He kept trying to fight back, but what power. With the injuries he received and without having any more legs, he could do nothing.

"M?!" call Arya and Lexa together.

M who was not far from them was ready to direct his orange umbrella, the tip of the umbrella gave off a bright light that was very blinding.

"Kyma Ecrixis!!!"
