Chapter 54 - The Trio

Alalea walked back and forth while repeatedly staring at her reflection in the mirror. He kept trying to clean up even though it didn't need to be done.

"You know? How many times have you seen your reflection in the mirror, it won't change in just a few seconds, baby" Azalea finally took her eyes off the book she was reading.

Alalea paused and turned to her mother in a huff "Ugh...ayolah ma'am, can you at least give me some words that are soothing?"

"You should use the words of mother to be soothing, be thankful that not everyone in this world as lucky as you still have a mother to talk to"

"Why am I being lectured?" grute Alalea slowly.

Azalea could only sigh at the attitude of the girl. To be honest he had high hopes Alalea's attitude would change a lot after arriving in Elemental City, but unfortunately it seems that it still takes time to be realized.

"Aren't you going with grandma? What are you worried about?"

"Mmm..it....eh....there is a little problem anyway actually—"

Azalea picked up a cup of drinks nearby and replied casually "You must not underestimate a mother's instincts, after all if you're wrong. Isn't this a good time to apologize?"

Right after he said like that, there was a knocking sound from outside. Alalea immediately opened the door and found Eridan waiting for her there.

"Hello Princess, Your Majesty is waiting for you" he said kindly.

Finally they both parted with Azalea to join the other Queen's entourage, Diana glanced at Alalea who had just arrived beside her with her eyebrows raised.

"What took you so long?"

"Eh..it was just a small talk between mother and child" Alalea said with an awkward smile.

"You made me wait just for a trivial thing like that?"

"Ahaha.sorry me grandma"

The group then continued on, consisting of guards, servants, nobles, and Diana and Alalea themselves. At last they could see a small gate far away.

Only then was the welcome of the Dwarves felt, they were marching on the road that the Queen's entourage passed very neatly. Although some of them still look frightened when the Elves entered the settlement.

The line led them to a small residence, Diana and Alalea immediately came forward to greet the owner. A short while later a long white-bearded Dwarf appeared with a warm smile on his face.

"Please enter Your Majesty, Princess" Stmmig pulled over allowing the two Elves to enter.

The two were welcome to sit on two simple little chairs, Alalea gazed at the surroundings with an interested look. This was the first time he had seen such a small house with such strange decorations in his opinion, realizing Alalea's view. Stammig.

"I'm sorry for my bravery of hosting you in a shanty place like this"

"Eh?! I'm not ber—"

"It looks like my granddaughter is just a little amazed to see where your Chief lives" Diana quickly quipped.

"I don't mind if you stop by to see the Princess"

"Ahaha..thank you Chief" Alalea replied awkwardly.

"All right enough bases, can we start?" Diana had a serious face.

The discussions began to run, the meeting this time was actually held in the framework of an alliance that was being planned by the Queen. After the previous incident of the Demon attack, everyone in the Fairy Forest agreed to the establishment of this alliance.

The Druids and Pixies had already agreed to it, which is why Diana had now come to the Dwarf settlement to ask for their cooperation. Seeing their role was quite large when the crisis occurred, Alalea as a potential successor to the throne was obliged to follow this discussion.

He was quite happy to be able to chat with the leaders of the groups that were there, some time after the discussion began. Another Dwarf entered the room while bringing drinks for the three of them.

The Dwarf just nodded then immediately resigned, only there did Alalea realize that the Dwarf the drinker was the Dwarf she met with Arya before. He immediately got up and called Klug.

Seeing this, Stemmig nodded with satisfaction, Diana also felt that Alalea was getting older because of the attitude she showed. When Alalea finally sat back down, Stmmig immediately told the two to drink first.

The drink was brown and gave off a fragrant aroma like walnuts, Alalea inhaled it a little and it did not taste too bad. In the middle as they enjoyed the drink, Stmmig interrupted.

"Oh yeah, by the way I just got word about Mr. Arya"

"mmm? What's wrong with her?" diana was interested.

"I heard from our spies that Mr. Arya appeared in Underground Paradise"

Alalea put up her ears well after hearing Aryan's name called.

"Underground Paradise? What's he doing in that place?" Diana propped up her chin while listening.

"Nobody knows for sure, but from the reports I received. Said he went there with a woman for honeymoon—"

Alalea spouted out all the drinks in her mouth, fortunately Diana was quick to make a transparent barrier so that she and Stemmig did not get wet from the spray.

His voice was loud enough to sound outside, making the people who heard it look at each other anxiously.

"Honeymoon" Diana said.

"Be...ber...monthly.....with OTHER WOMEN?!"

"Ahaha....Princess please calm down, this is just a report. Not necessarily the truth" cried Stmmig quickly.

"How dare he cheated when only briefly did not meet....!!!" alalea growled while clenching her hands tightly.

"Actually he's technically innocent, you're not even officially engaged yet, are you?" timpal Diana relax.

"Ughs....Aaa...why can grandma be that relaxed anyway?! It wasn't grandma who proposed this engagement!?"

"Shouldn't I tell them this? I'm sorry sir, I was wrong" Stmmig said anxiously.

KLANG!!!

The sound of the iron door made a girl whose hands were tied raise her head, she could see two figures of people standing in front of her holding cell.

"You're still stubborn, aren't you?" greet one of them.

The two opened the door of the holding cell and entered to talk to the girl, their figure finally clearly visible in the moonlight. These two people had very similar faces, even their hair color was both brown.

The only difference is the sex of both. After seeing who had come, the girl who was being bound just sighed and looked down again.

"How dare you turn away when I'm talking to you!" said the female twin while grabbing the girl's chin.

"Ugh....what does Brother Aris and Brother Dexi want from me?" ask the girl weakly.

"Aris, don't be so hard on him" Dexi said slowly.

"Whisper! This kid needs to be taught a lesson, you see what he's doing on a gift from Dad. He didn't even touch her at all, you son doesn't know himself!" Aris kicked his sister's face as hard as possible.

Not far from their position, there was a tray on which a bowl of red liquid was provided. But it seemed that even though it had been there for quite a while, it had never been touched in the least.

"Until..when...you...will....will.....Dad...disappointed....!" Aris continued to beat his sister the stronger each syllable was ejected from his mouth.

He paused for a moment to take a breath, but the younger brother then stared right at his face. Their two red eyes met each other.

"What...sister is satisfied....?"

"BRENG— BASICS"

"Enough" Dexi caught Aris' hand that was already shrouded in a reddish aura.

"Don't stop me Dexi! Today I will kill this weak creature!" snapped Aris as he tried to escape from the grasp of his male twin.

"You're crazy, aren't you? We could get Father's wrath if you take such a rash action"

"Dad won't care if this useless child dies"

"Huh...try thinking? If he is really useless. Didn't you get rid of him a long time ago?"

Dexi slowly loosened her hands as Aris began to look calm. The brown haired girl immediately turned around and left the cell while saying.

"I don't want to see your face forever, keep it! If until you show your fucking face again in front of me. I'll make sure you tear those two little necks in half"

Then he slammed the door hard. Dexi just shook her head before catching up with her growth, as she closed the cell door she ordered.

"If you keep acting stupid like this, you won't be able to hold on. Wouldn't you rather just accept Dad's gift?"

"Thank you for your attention, but I'll stay like this. Even if you have to die" he said slowly.

"Well, sometimes I want to beat you up like Aris did. Never mind if I do, I brought you some food. Even if I didn't know if you'd eat it or not, see you. Callistas"

When the sound of Dexi's steps was not heard, the girl named Callista reached for a bag of food that Dexi left behind. He took out a piece of bread and began to put it in his mouth.

"Oek!?....Not good" he chirped slowly.

While trying to eat foods that taste bitter on her tongue, Callista began to remember the figure of the mother. A woman he'll never see again. Without realizing it, tears began to drip from both ends of his eyes.

"Mother...What should I do? I miss you...really miss.hiks"

How shocked Callista was when he heard his name called, he almost ran out of breath from choking on the bread he was trying to eat.

"The time is almost here" the newcomer said as he thrust a piece of paper from behind the prison cell door.

Callista looked at the paper with a strange look "What is this?" tanyanya's confused.

"Hope" replied the man before leaving Callista, who was increasingly confused.

"KIZUNA!? OI KIZUNA!?"

A girl wriggled softly behind the blanket when she heard her name being called out repeatedly.

TOK TOK!!!

"Kizuna you want to get up alone or I'll get you out of there"

Kizuna just kept quiet and tried to pretend to sleep hearing the threat from her senior.

"All that is enough"

The bedroom door finally opened, the blonde girl with fox ears walked in while staring at the bed in annoyance. He shook the body that was still lying there to get up.

"Kizuna come! You know today is important, right? How long are you going to be childish like this?"

Still unable to respond, he eventually ran out of patience. He reached behind the blanket to look for something and held it tightly.

"WAA?!....BROTHER AMI!? WHAT ARE YOU SELLINGYOU DON'T....MY TAIL....!!!"

A few minutes later they were both in the dining room. Kizuna ate while being watched closely by Ami. He ate his food with a pouting face.

"Don't look at me with that look! You forced me to do it" hardik Ami.

"Stretch it doesn't need to squeeze my tail" Kizuna grumbled softly.

"What did you say?! Want me to do it again, huh?!"

"No no no no! Anything but that" Kizuna sighed as she hugged her tail.

Ami then sighed tired from seeing the behavior of his younger brother. The white-haired girl with fox ears adorned her head. Kizuna also has bright yellow eyes that are very distinctive.

"You are, I still don't understand why you locked yourself up for two days in the room just because you weren't allowed to come along by the Elder"

"That's...." Kizuna seemed reluctant to answer.

"Of that, it's up to you. I've always been made dizzy by you, not just you that I have to take care of at this temple. Oh yes, the Elder asked you to meet him before departure"

Kizuna then nodded and tried to quickly finish her meal, after coming from the dining room Kizuna immediately set off towards the Elder room. He knocked on the door three times and waited for himself to be allowed in.

He walked in with slow steps and immediately sat in the middle of the room as polite as possible.

"Elder called me?" tanyanya doubt.

"Yes, I want to know how you are" said a voice from behind the curtains in the room.

"Are you still angry?"

Kizuna was silent a thousand languages, finally the curtain opened revealing a man who looked very fragile. As if just a slow breeze could make her fall to the floor, she approached Kizuna then patted her on the shoulder.

"I went to the Underground Paradise to help the others deal with that basket-eyed King, I can't take you there because it will steal a lot of attention. So please understand"

"Elder Nezumi, is it dangerous there?" Kizuna looked into the man's eyes deeply.

The words continued to ring in Kizuna's ears even until Nezumi's delivery ceremony was over, her heart filled with worry about what she should do in the future.
