Chapter 28 - Pride Sins

"You still look as beautiful as you used to be, Diana" the Vampire said enthusiastically.

"Kris, what is a Demon race official like yourself doing here?" reply Diana coldly.

"Just say hello to an old friend, can't you?"

"This is what you call saying hello?" diana asked again while throwing a glance at the Vampires who surrounded her.

"Hahaha at first I just wanted to see the end of your life and then leave the rest to Daemord" replied the Vampire named Kris as he walked among the Elves who could not move,"But I didn't think there would be a small disturbance that ruined everything" he then stared right at Arya who was being surrounded by her troops.

Arya shuddered softly after getting that gaze, she could feel an extremely concentrated aura from Kris. Even Arya guessed that her aura was equal to or even higher than Eudart, then Kris turned back to Daemord and said.

"Is he an Elf from outside the forest you're telling me about, Daemord?"

"Right, my Lord" Daemord said with an evil smile.

"Hmm.It's interesting, I've never heard of it before. Yes...but how else? You Elves are full of mysteries"

"Look who's talking" Diana quipped as she narrowed her eyes.

Kris simply smiled and continued, "Alright, no need to mince words anymore. You should know what I mean, right? The situation is heating up, so can you decide which side you will take with Your Majesty?"

"Ah...now everything makes sense" said Arya suddenly.

Hearing that everyone turned his attention to Arya, they looked at her with questioning gazes. Especially the Elves who did not seem to understand the situation, Arya calmly continued.

"The reason why Alalea was able to appear at the border that night, and why was there a conflict at the border of the region that caused the Knights of Pentagram to leave Mediopolis all just for this matter huh? And if my guess is not wrong, surely you're the one who took Alalea to the border? Daemord?"

Daemord's smile widened to hear that, the atmosphere became silent because some of them still did not understand the meaning of Arya's words.

"That's great, you're right. At that time I was looking for a way to smuggle Mr. Kris and the others to this place, I didn't even know you were there. Fate seems to be playing us"

"Cursed you're Daemord! What are you really thinking! Awake damnit!" as if Audax is trying his hardest to move his body.

"You shouldn't say that to Daemord, he's my favorite student" Kris said, touching Daemord's shoulder.

"Daemord what--" before Alalea finished her words, Kris immediately cut her off casually "Even it seems like this Princess hasn't noticed yet, you're indeed good at Daemord's role. He has vampire blood in him"

Hearing that Alalea's eyes widened in disbelief, Daemord slowly showed his canines to all of them. "He's just like me, he has half the blood of an Elf" Arya said in her heart.

"So..What's your answer, Your Majesty?" ask Chris again.

"Do I look like I'm going to side with the people who come into my territory without my permission and ruin my show?" Diana asked back cynically.

"Well, it's a pity, that's why we originally wanted to poison you. But you should know the consequences, right? We, Facum must have got what we wanted. Daemord?"

With just that one word Daemord instantly scratched Alalea's cheek with his black dagger, everyone breathed in surprise. Immediately Diana stood up from her throne.

"Kris.you...!"

"After saying that, shouldn't you be prepared to lose a successor? The dagger contained a poison that the antidote was only on me" Kris said as he pulled out a small glass bottle filled with yellow liquid.

"Alalea!" call Azalea with a panicked look.

Alalea's face paled, her vision began to blur. He seemed to be trying his hardest so that his consciousness would not be lost.

"You guys have to be quick. Because otherwise, what is left of your Princess is just a name" Kris said cheerfully.

"Son, you better stop whatever you're planning. You think I didn't notice?" kris said as he turned his attention towards Arya.

Arya immediately stopped what she was doing, she looked directly into Kris's eyes without the slightest fear. Making Kris smile more and more happy and began to step closer to him.

"Hmm.It's interesting, somehow your face feels familiar to me. Have we met before?" kris asked while stroking his chin.

"It seems like you're wrong people, as I recall I've never met a rotten Demon like you" Arya replied sarcastically.

"Wah wah wah your mouth the Elves are still as sharp as they used to be" replied Kris while emitting a very concentrated aura from his body.

"Do you think? Then try to come here and see which is sharper between my mouth or my sword" Arya said with a smile.

The Vampires besieging Arya immediately pointed their swords towards her neck, they were ready at any time to slash Arya's neck over the disrespectful treatment she showed.

"Don't you dare touch her" Diana said in a trembling voice.

Kris halted his steps, then turned his head towards Diana with one eyebrow raised "What is this? Do you have a special relationship with him?"

"It's enough, you've heard for yourself not where they came from" Arya sighed softly as she shifted her soles slowly.

Very quickly the ice plundered from Arya's footrest to all directions, the ice froze the Vampires' feet. They were so shocked that suddenly their feet were covered with ice, Arya immediately analyzed her surroundings. Then he found the least desperate Vampire among his besiegers.

Arya then stepped up to face him, then quickly used the Kamaitachi technique to the Vampire. Pieces of body and the smell of blood from the Vampire immediately filled the air, seeing this opportunity Reiss, Rena, rea, and Eridan also managed to conquer the Vampires who surrounded them and immediately darted to protect Diana and Azalea.

The three of them managed to repel the Vampires surrounding Diana and Azalea, meanwhile Arya. The one who had just come out of the enemy's encirclement instantly rushed towards Kris who was still recovering from his shock over what had happened. He looked at Arya who was already in front of him with widened eyes.

"Kamaitachi"

As soon as the Kamaitachi technique hit Kris, Aryapun quickly dragged Kris away from the place. He bounced far enough that it caused dust to scatter everywhere.

"Now!"

Hearing Arya's cry, Rena immediately slammed her wand into the ground causing the appearance of vines surrounding the location where Arya and Kris were. The plant continued to grow until it formed a giant green dome, Eridan also followed Rena by drawing a magic formation before him. The formation gave off a bluish light that pointed right towards the dome.

The dome instantly turned transparent as if it had never been there, even so. Arya could catch a glimpse of the dome turning into an invisible wall, so people outside could look inside, the Vampires who had started to recover from their shock immediately surrounded the place.

They tried to break in, but whatever they did couldn't scratch the transparent cage. Arya immediately took a prepared position while facing right in the direction of Kris bouncing. The dust that was scattered in the air still covered his visibility, a few moments later appeared the form of Kris who was removing his clothes from the dust.

"Well, was that ice magic? I didn't expect a young Elf like you to master such a technique. And I really admire your clever plan to lock me up here, you do have to keep the person you want to protect from such a major danger as myself" Kris commented, still patting her dust-filled shoulders.

"You look fine" Arya replied with a slight annoyance as Kamaitachi did not seem to hurt Kris in the least.

Hearing that the Vampires immediately turned their gaze towards Eridan, Eridan who noticed the killing gaze immediately gulped. Fortunately he and Rena were together with Reiss, who arguably had quite high fighting abilities. So that Vampires won't touch her easily.

"Alright, looks like you purposely locked yourself in here to arrest me. I must admit you are indeed smart and have great courage, I could indeed destroy this magic from the inside after studying it for a while" said Kris while turning his attention back towards Arya.

"Thank you for the compliment" said Arya while strengthening the grip on her sword.

"You're such an interesting boy, I've never seen an Elf cast such ice magic" Kris said while stroking her chin in interest.

"Of course you never see it, because it is not magic" Arya replied calmly, and with an instant the temperature around her decreased drastically.

Kris's eyes widened, a wide smile also splashed on his face, so wide look crazy expression on that face. "Don't tell me you--"

"Right, I am the current generation ice Elementalist. My name is Arya Frost"

Everyone who was there was silent, they were staring with shocked gazes. The only people who respond to this usually are Rena, Eridan, Diana, and Azalea who have known Aryan identity since the beginning. One of the people most surprised was Alalea, in the midst of her increasingly heavy breathing. Appeared at a glance remember him in the past, the image of a white-haired woman who often accompanied him to play.

"Aryans....Frost" whispered

"You've known this from the beginning, Your Majesty?" asked Reiss who was as surprised as Alalea.

Diana let out a long sigh and said "How could I not recognize my own grandson"

The silence was also broken by laughter coming from someone who was none other than Kris, he laughed loosely like crazy. Tears appeared in the corner of his eyes.

"I'm sorry, I really didn't think this was happening. How lucky I am, surely fate does like to play games with me" Kris exclaimed enthusiastically.

Arya simply raised her eyebrows while throwing a questioning gaze at Kris, she did not understand what a very funny part of her words made Kris laugh out loud like that.

"You must be surprised, right? I'm really sorry, I feel so happy. Because with our current encounter, it means that I have fought with three generations of ice Elementalists. How lucky I am to have a long life hahaha" continued Kris while still laughing.

This time Arya who was shocked to hear Kris' words, she carefully said "You....have you ever fought with Grandpa and my Mom?"

"Of course, I deserve to feel familiar with your face. You really look a lot like your grandfather"

Then Kris tells him that he and Arya's grandfather are in the same generation, and the two of them have fought each other several times. Then surprisingly he had also fought with Mother Arya, when Mother Arya was at the peak of her abilities as an Elementalist.

"Mmm it's only fitting that I can't recognize you directly, you haven't become a perfect Elementalist yet. Even you don't have all three Elementalist attributes yet, you're really brave" Kris chirped again with a smile.

Arya immediately darted while pointing her sword at Kris while shouting "Quite talk-" yet she had time to finish her words, Kris' knee hit her stomach. The attack was so powerful that he spewed blood from his mouth then bounced into the air.

He bounced so high that he crashed into an invisible cage, he heard anxious cries from Rena, Diana, as well as Azalea who saw the incident from outside. Arya then fell back to the ground violently, then she felt a loud stomp on her head.

"Kris! How dare you....!" diana shouted with a voice.

"Ahh...I'm sorry, are you dead with just that attack? I haven't even introduced myself to you yet, introduce I am one of the Seven Great Sins of the Demon race. Pride Sins, Kris Tepes" whispered Kris as he continued to add strength to Arya's head.

"The Seven Great Sins?" repeat Rena while looking at Eridan with a question mark on her face.

Then Eridan explained to Rena that the Seven Great Sins are the Elite leaders of the Demon race, who have the most powerful abilities among other demons. The seven of them were just like the Five Pentagram Knights of the Elf race, hearing that Rena's face immediately paled. He immediately threw an anxious look towards Arya.

Arya felt her entire body crumble as a result of Kris's previous attack, with all her strength breaking away from Kris's footsteps. Then deftly he curled at Kris's body like a snake, then with one swift movement. He twisted Kris' hand until it broke. Aryapun immediately moved away while continuously spewing blood from his mouth.

Casually Kris looked at his hand that was broken by Arya, then Kris turned to face Arya and slowly the hand that had been twisted was rotating direction and back as usual. "Are you not giving up?"

"He.he.hehehehehe" Arya then laughed amusedly with her body shaking violently.

Seeing that Kris stopped his steps while raising his next eyebrow, he felt that there was something strange about the boy. Arya smiled, but not the smile she used to do. It was a smile that no one had ever seen before, not even Renapun had seen him smile like that.

"You are a dangerous creature, if you let it go. You could threaten the survival of mankind. It seems like I have to give up a little bit of my strength" Arya said with a chuckle.

"What are you--"

Not finished talking. Arya has disappeared from his face, he immediately looked to and fro to find Arya's whereabouts. His heart slipped when he realized Arya was behind him with a sword ready to lift.

"Where did you see it? Afxisi Kamaitachi"

Kris resisted the attack with his hand, but the combination of Reinforcement magic and the Kamaitachi technique was too strong to make the ground where Kris was grounded and mixed into the air. Instantly inside the cage was filled with dust and made people who were outside could not see what was happening.

Kris was also thrown into the air as a result of the attack, but Aryan's attack has not stopped. He immediately jumped to and fro by making the chunks of land floating in the air as a foothold, he continued to attack Kris relentlessly and made Kris a little overwhelmed by the changes in Aryan movement that was getting sharper.

When the dust finally disappeared from sight, everyone could see the scar of the sword incision on Kris' right cheek. He touched her blood with his thumb and licked it with a smile. "Great as well you can hurt me, you're very entertaining. I have to give you a gift for comforting me"

Kris raised his right hand, then a black lightning bolt suddenly grabbed the hand. Appearing a silver claw-shaped accessory with a red jewel on Kris' little finger, everyone who saw the thing widened his eyes in astonishment.

"Grimoire" sizzled Diana quietly.

"What is a Grimoire?" ask Rena and Eridan together.

"Grimoire is the heirloom of Vampires, all Vampires have it. I didn't expect him to take out a Grimoire to fight Arya, it's dangerous" Azalea exclaimed anxiously.

"He only summoned a small part of his Grimoire, as you can see. The grimoire only covers her little finger" Diana added.

After summoning his Grimoire, Kris beckoned Arya with a finger to come forward to attack him. Without wasting time Arya immediately shot and attacked Kris at full speed, but unfortunately all the attacks were stopped with her little finger by Kris. Kris did not even move an inch from where he stood, he even looked yawning from boredom.

After being satisfied he immediately caught Arya with his left hand without any effort, he strangled Arya's neck and prepared to stab Arya with the little finger of his right hand.

"Finished already" he said with a triumphant smile.

Arya whose consciousness was almost lost by Kris's giggling began to think "It seems only up here" but then her eyes widened after seeing a brown owl she knew so well perched on one of the nearby trees, he smiled and said.

"You guys, it's been a long time, I've almost died here"

A bluish-colored light appeared splitting through the sky and directly aimed towards them, it shattered the transparent confinement unhindered. Kris, who had realized that, immediately tried to resist the attack with his Grimoire, but it was free. He bounced away as a result of holding back the attack.

Everyone was shocked by the devastating attack, the bluish light began to dim and showed an Elf with its eyes closed. He stroked the blade of his sword that he had just used to slash his opponent.

"You did your best, son"

"Thank you....Master" Arya replied as she spat blood from her mouth.
