Chapter 33 - Polarian

Arya woke up after feeling a warm sticky liquid smearing her face, she immediately sat down and wiped her face with her robe. After opening his eyes a few times, he realized where the sticky liquid came from.

The Pegasus he and Rena saved was standing near him while looking at him without even blinking a single glance. The horse snorted softly then once again licked Arya's face, it seemed like it was the way he thanked her after the help Arya gave. Arya tried to avoid that sticky liquid.

"Ahahaha hey enough, it's ticklish and sticky. You made my robe full of your saliva" Arya protested while laughing softly.

But the horse did not heed Aryan protests and continued to do his activities, after getting bored he finally walked towards the mouth of the cave. Arya immediately stood up while cleaning her clothes from the snow. He threw a fleeting glance at Rena who was still asleep in the other corner of the cave.

Without Arya realizing the smile on her face saw how well Rena was asleep at that time, then she immediately slipped slowly so as not to wake Rena to catch up with the winged horse. The pegasus was staring towards the sky right in front of the mouth of the cave.

"What are you li-wow....!"

Arya failed to finish her sentence after seeing what was in front of her, her eyes widened slowly looking at the beautiful colors that filled the north polar sky at that time. The sun had not yet appeared, but he could already see his surroundings clearly due to the illumination of the aurora borealis.

Arya immediately approached the pegasus then stroked his back gently, which the pegasus responded by slowly neighing while rubbing his head at Arya.

"That's great, it looks like my choice to come here is right. Should I wake up Rena?"

Rena in the morning woke up with a sense of anxiety because she could not find Arya in the cave, he immediately ran outside the cave and found Arya playing with Pegasus that they found yesterday.

It caused Rena to look at Arya with annoyance while puffing her cheeks, she also refused to talk to Arya some time because of it. The two of them ended up having breakfast immediately and packed up the items to continue their journey. Everything went smoothly until the moment when they parted with the winged horse.

"See you soon, go back to where you came from" Arya exclaimed as she waved her hand.

"See you again Mr. Pegasus" Rena added respectfully.

Just as the two of them walked a few meters, both of them stopped. They turned their heads together and seeing that the distance between them and Pegasus was still exactly the same as the previous one, they went back quite far and turned their heads back. But their distance still did not increase with that horse.

The two of them continued to do just that several times to the point that the cave they were in before was already nowhere to be seen.

"Oh..let's go....! What's your problem, sir, winged mammal?" Arya turned around in annoyance.

"Hihik-hihik" the horse retorted guiltlessly.

"Don't look at me with such a clear gaze, do you want to come with us?" ask Arya again.

The pegasus then neighs in agreement while scavenging his feet at the snow excitedly.

"Aryan?" call Rena.

"M....?"

"Are you aware that you're talking to a horse?" asked Rena softly.

"Ugh..!?"

Arya immediately held her own chest, for some reason her heart ached hearing that. Especially since hearing that from Rena, the insinuations from the girl he had always thought was innocent and kind-hearted like an angel.

"Are you okay?" ask Rena flat.

"E. It's okay, it's just a little painful. But.forgetit"

"Are you really okay?" reset Rena.

"Please...stop....!!!"

They finally continue their journey with an additional member (seekor), Rena made a plant vine to be bitten by the Pegasus so that they do not separate. With the help of that horse, Arya and Rena's innate burden was quite reduced.

After they finished taking a break for lunch, came across some crazy ideas from Arya's head to avenge Rena's innuendo just a moment ago. Without waiting any longer he immediately voiced it.

"Rena?" call Arya as sweet as possible.

"Yes?" rena said without any suspicion.

"Do you know that this creature that walks next to us is a Pegasus?" starting Arya.

"Then?" the look on Rena's face began to change.

"How about we.." said Arya while pointing towards the sky "flying" he continued.

"Ekh..!"

Arya manages to catch a fleeting reaction of Rena's fear, she immediately puts on the sweetest smile she can make while exclaiming in her heart "because of you".

"T..ta.but didn't he just recover? Wouldn't it be better if we---"

"Well, that's okay, don't you think so too?" cut off Arya while stroking the Pegasus' head.

The Pegasus though did not seem to understand Arya's cunning plan immediately snorted happily, he also seemed to have gotten sick of treading ice and wanted to flap his wings again in the sky. He began to flap his wings and make the snow around him fly in all directions.

"But--"

Not yet had Rena finished talking, Arya immediately made a simple saddle using some cloth that she had. He also made hooks from the thread so that they do not crash while flying. And also the tendrils that Rena made as a handle that will be bitten by the Pegasus.

"Good wiggle, let's go Rena" exclaimed Arya as she pulled Rena closer.

"T..tu..tu...wait a minute Arya I--"

Regardless of what Rena said, Arya helped her up to Pegasus' back. Again he made sure all their luggage was firmly tied. As he was about to ride Rena immediately stopped him while saying quietly.

"A..Ar...Aryans? Can I just walk?"

"Eh? Wh why? How could I let a girl walk in a place like this alone" Arya replied with a face as innocent as possible.

"Ti.ti.it's okay, I actually have a phobia of heights. So...get me down?" pinta Rena's.

"Sorry lady, but if you've bought a ticket to ride. You must not come down until we arrive at the destination" Arya replied with a sweet smile.

"Eh?!"

Without waiting any longer Arya also immediately climbed on the back of the winged horse, they both sat behind the wings of Pegasus so as not to interfere with the movement of the two white-feathered objects.

Arya holds Rena's hand and directs her to hug Arya's waist.

"T.tu..wait! What the-"

"You better hold on to me Rena, than I read. The flying speed of Pegasus can be up to 700 km/h even more" whispered Arya ignorant.

"700 km/h?! That fast?!"

The clap was countered with a loud neigh, the horse suddenly stood up with both of its hind legs. Making Arya and Rena equally surprised, the difference is Arya laughed and Rena squealed softly.

The horse went back with all four feet on the ground and started running. He was running at a speed that was increasing. Arya could feel Rena's embrace on her waist getting tighter.

"Alright! Arya I understand! I'm sorry for what I did before, so can you—AHH...!!!"

"Woooo!!!"

The two of them could feel that the horse was no longer resting on the ground, they were slowly moving away from the white plains. The wings of the Pegasus flap regularly. They kept on darting closer and closer to the clouds in space.

Rena was still screaming hysterically due to takeoff, while it was amidst Rena's screams. Arya keeps laughing happily enjoying her exciting new experience.

"Rena?! If I were you, I wouldn't do that. You don't want an insect suddenly coming into your mouth?" arya shouted among the roar of the wind.

Rena's shout immediately stopped and was replaced with the sound of "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!???" from his tightly closed mouth.

Their bodies were then all wet after flying past a giant cloud, which was when the fly from Pegasus was more stable. Arya could see the beautiful reddish-colored sky view, the sun was almost sunk at that time.

"Look at Rena, what a beautiful sight, right?" arya said while looking.

Rena's shout did stop for a while, her eyes also widened after looking around her in astonishment. But all of it disappeared just as quickly as it appeared.

"Yes-yes, the look of the beautiful moment. It's so beautiful it can kill me, so can we go down now?" groaning slowly.

After landing Rena flailing Arya with her soft hands, she frowns and does not want to talk to Arya that night. Unable to find caves or other shelters, Arya creates a wall of ice that surrounds them and can protect them from the cold night winds.

Finally after dinner, without much talking they both fell asleep, both sleeping close to the body of the Pegasus. Since recovering, the flying horse has the ability to maintain its body temperature.

She also enveloped Arya and Rena with her clean white wings, not taking long for Rena to fall asleep. Seeing that Arya just laughed slowly while remembering how scared Rena was just a moment ago.

Arya let out a long sigh while gazing towards the star-studded night sky, Arya indeed deliberately did not make a roof over the wall that she had made for this matter. Then he slid in.

"Hey? Wouldn't I rather give you a name? I'd be hard-pressed to call you if it went on like this"

Aryan's curse was answered with a slow snort by the Pegasus. The horse also closed its eyes and waited for time to fall asleep.

"Mmm..what yes.." Arya muttered while thinking, she looked back at the night sky and suddenly a name flashed across her mind.

"Stella, what do you think?" arya asked with a smile.

"Religion-chihik"

"good right? Okay from now on please help, huh? Stella's"

The next day they flew back into space, this time Rena was calmer than the first flight he did yesterday. He just yelled "Kya!" for one minute, and according to Arya it has become a feat in itself for him.

As they were flying peacefully suddenly Arya's ears buzzed, she immediately pulled the tendril tied to Stella's head.

"Stella dodged?!" yell Aryan.

Stella immediately rotates in the air, as Arya's sensitivity to her surroundings is high enough they manage to avoid a giant chunk of ice suddenly appearing from under them. Arya immediately pulls Rena who almost fell due to a sudden maneuver from Stella.

"A.ap..what happened?" asked Rena with a trembling body.

"There's a—ugh...."

Arya's ears were again buzzing, this time worse than before, she immediately ordered Rena to hug her waist as tightly as she could. He pulled Stella's handler's tendrils as hard as he could, dozens of chunks of ice drifting towards them.

Stella let out a loud neighing sound and began to avoid the air attacks one by one, Arya directed Stella to get closer to the ground. As they returned under the clouds, they could see a gigantic ice wall that looked like a fortress.

Inside the walls was a giant device, the origin of the chunks of ice that floated towards them. Arya directs Stella right towards the tools. Realizing Aryan's arrival, the attackers fired off the largest chunk of ice at their disposal.

The chunks floated at a terrifying speed towards them, because tau was already unavoidable. Arya immediately ordered Rena to take control, she immediately stood on Stella's back and with a slow hand movement shattered the giant chunk of ice.

They appear with bodies filled with snow attached to their clothes, Arya then whispers to Rena.

"Never let go of that tendril no matter what"

"Aryan?! what the--"

Before Rena managed to stop him Arya had already jumped off Stella's back, she darted with great density onto the ground. Stella let out a loud neighing sound then spun once in the air and flew at high speed towards Arya.

"KYAAAAA.....!!!!???" rena's screams filled the air at that time.

Just when the distance between her and the ground was only a few meters, Arya reached the air above her and with an incredible tempo setting. He can hold on to one of Stella's back legs.

Stella brought him closer towards the wall, then slowly she let go of her grip and with incredible speed stuck her sword into the ground. Instantly the entire ice plain shook violently, the plains where Arya landed let out cracks that crept in all directions.

The sound of "Shelves!" hard from within the giant ice wall, parts of the ice-throwing device were scattered in the air. Spikes of ice came up from the ground and destroyed them all. Rena immediately descended from Stella's back with a trembling body, they walked slowly closer to Arya.

Arya pulled out her sword from the ground and whispered softly.

"How dare you attack an Ice Elementalist in his natural habitat like this"

The giant wall door opened, a mist of ice emerged from within the wall. Arya and Rena could feel the ground they were shaking indicating a herd was heading towards them. The ice fog surrounded Arya, Rena, and Stella.

As the fog began to thin, Arya could see dozens of figures of creatures that were seen walking on four legs and had fangs and teeth that were very sharp. The creatures had white feathers like snow, they let out a growling sound while showing their sharp teeth.

"You are a herd of polar bears, the Polarians. One of the original residents of this place" said Arya.

None of the Polarians responded to Arya's statement, they just growled and slowly herded Arya, Rena, and Stella into the ice wall. Having no other choice, they follow the will of the polar bears.

Inside the giant ice wall there are many shelters made of ice. They look like a settlement containing small igloos, the herd takes Arya and Rena towards a large igloo in the middle.

"Come in" a Polarian grumbles at Arya and Rena.

Arya then calmed Stella who was not allowed to enter, the horse groaned softly. Then Arya and Rena entered the building, inside which was a large chair made of ice. On top of the chair sits a Polarian with the largest size of the one Arya and Rena had ever seen before.

Just as Arya and Rena were entering the place, the giant shut bear opened its yellowish eyes. He had a lot of scars and just a quick look. They could tell that the bear in front of them was filled with muscles that indicated he was the leader of this place.

"I'm sorry for our unpleasant actions before, I've been waiting for you" he growled while showing his fangs.
