It was past five o'clock in the afternoon, but there were still customers coming. Salma, the woman whom Maira had chosen to accompany her from her coming to the stall until returning home, had been waiting for her husband in front.
"Alhamdulillah, finally get round too, Sal... Wait a minute, yeah, we're closing first... Poor Kang Deri waiting for you..." Maira said she felt bad.
"It's okay, Neng... Kang Deri he just understands, won't be angry..." Salma brushed off Maira's guilt.
"Ki, start closing now..." Maira orders while packing on the cashier's desk.
"Well, Neng..." All moved tidying up the messy items, then stuffing the displays outside into the stall.
Maira picks up her phone, and intends to send a message to Hidayat. "Assalamualaikum, Brother... Maira come back, yeah..."
Before long, Maira's phone rang. She saw her phone screen filled with pictures of her husband, indicating that he was calling. Maira hurriedly lifted him up. "Assalamualaikum, Brother..."
"Wa'alaikum hail... Is it closed, Mai?"
"Just want to start... Is there still a lecture?"
"Still... Looks like you came home late tonight... Maira be careful, yeah..."
"Yes. Brother too... Assalamualaikum..."
"Wa'alaikum hail..."
Maira keeps her phone back, then exits after packing.
After the stalls were closed, they gathered in front of the rolling for mutual waiting, while Rizki locked the rolling door of the stall.
"Just go first, Sal... I'm done too..." Tell Maira while receiving the rolling key from Rizki.
"Well, Neng..." Sahut Salma as she approached her husband who had first headed to his motorcycle.
"Sorry, yes, Kang Deri has been waiting a long time..." Maira said as she clenched her hands in front of her own chest.
"It's okay, Neng... Sometimes also late Salma, usually Kang Deri who often late to pick up Salma, to the extent that in waiting all..." Deri said not to worry about their delay this afternoon.
The atmosphere is getting darker. The orange light after the drizzle began to dissipate in the western horizon, they gradually left the stall on the motorbikes they drove each.
Just coming out of the T-junction about to head for the highway, a woman intercepted Maira by waving her hand. Maira slightly squinted her eyes to see clearly, as the atmosphere had already begun to darken.
"Sister Kiran?" Maira said.
"Hi, Maira..." Sapa Kirana with a smile.
"What's up, brother?" Maira asked while pulling the bike over.
"Can we talk for a minute?" Kirana asked as she stared intently at Maira's face.
Maira was about to answer, but the voice of azan magrib could be heard. "Salat first, yes, brother... Nearby is a mosque..."
Kirana hesitated. Although he had planned this from the beginning, he still felt uncomfortable after meeting the wife of the man he loved.
Kirana is driven by Maira to the mosque. No words came out of their mouths during the journey. He is increasingly uncomfortable feeling the sincerity of Maira. He hoped that Maira was no better than him. But in reality, Maira is so perfect. It would not be wrong if Hidayat so easily loved Maira that quickly.
Even so, Kirana was not willing. He loved Hidayat because of his attitude.
After praying, they headed for a simple tongkrongan not far from there.
"For a long time no see, brother..." Maira said kindly.
Kirana just smiled, then sucked the juice in front of her. "But I see your husband often..."
Kirana tried to hide her nervousness. He was surprised, even though he had started to heat up Maira's feelings, still Maira thought positively of him.
"Yes... Our acquaintances are very far from each other, and that's what made him dislike the matchmaking between you..." Kirana's words did not stop her intentions.
Maira. He lifted his face and looked at Kirana with question marks.
"You don't want to ask?" Kirana tries to make Maira provoked.
Maira swallowed her own saliva. His heart began to feel sore, but fully he persevered to keep believing that Kirana's speech was just playful.
"Who came and needed to talk instead of Brother Kiran, then why should I have any questions? Speak freely, I will hear... But if there's nothing to talk about, I'll go home..." Maira refrains from being provoked, even though she realizes that bad intentions have been emanated from the aura of Kirana's face.
Kirana's face turned sour. He did not think that Maira was not a whiny and flabby woman, although he knew that Maira loved Hidayat so much, but there was no response that was very much awaited from Maira.
"It seems like there's nothing else that Kiran wants to say. So, I can go home now, right? My husband will be at our house soon..." Maira said, sounding deliberately emphasized the words of my husband, then rose to leave Kirana who began to be overwhelmed with anger.
Kirana put a few pieces of money on the table, then she slightly ran after Maira's position.
Maira didn't bully him. He continued walking towards the motor park.
"We love each other, Maira... You should not have accepted your match at that time. By marrying you who is not loved, it is the same as giving pain in the heart of Hidayat, the man we both love..." Kirana's words made Maira look quickly at him.
"I don't need his past... What I need, his love now and for all eternity that I have..." Firm Maira.
Kirana was flabbergasted to hear Maira's words.
"I think the protagonist on the glass screen who is praised by many people is in accordance with the facts, but it turns out my mind is wrong... Kirana Adila is the original antagonist of the real world..." Maira added again. He immediately started his bike and prepared to leave.
"You'll feel more pain than ever, when you're just married to her..." Kirana said as she ran towards the streets.
The sound of a long horn and a deafening whistle of the car brakes, made Maira surprised and immediately pulled back the motorbike.
"Astaghfirullah's..." Maira said as she rushed to Kirana who had been lying unconscious in the middle of the road.
"Tolooong..." Pekik Maira to everyone there. The driver of the car that hit Kirana immediately came out in panic. He and several other people who were there helped lift Kirana's body into her car.
"Please take him to the nearest hospital, sir..." Pinta Maira with trembling body.
"This is his family?" Ask the owner of the car that hit Kirana.
"Eh? Sa-me..."
"Please accompany me to the hospital, brother... I promise, I'll take responsibility..." Cut the guy up.
Maira resignedly saw the face of the driver who was filled with guilt and fear. "I'll follow your car from behind..."
"Thank you, Brother..." The driver said as he got into his car.
