For A Husband Who Doesn't Love Me

For A Husband Who Doesn't Love Me
31. Silent Thousand Languages

Arya mused over Hidayat's speech just now. But still he could not accept that his heart also had a sense of concern for Kirana. He sat in the waiting chair of the hospital after Hidayat's departure, but he also could not leave before confirming Kirana's condition.

Arya walked towards the room where Kirana was being treated. He peeked slightly from the door that was only half closed. Kirana was crying while hugging her knees. Aryan's heart began to be filled, but that does not mean he justified what the girl had done.

Arya also heard Kirana's phone ring a few times, and Kirana just ignored it.

Kirana's phone keeps ringing, making Arya so curious about who's calling. The riddle that Hidayat had said earlier about Kirana, made him dare to enter.

"Give me, how know it matters..." Tell Arya.

Kirana was stunned to find Arya suddenly already in front of her. He hurriedly wiped his tears, then turned his phone which was still ringing.

"Why are you here?" Kirana asked in a carefree tone.

"Don't get me wrong, as partners we should really care about each other, right?" Arya said as she approached.

Kirana smiled sinisterly while throwing her face away. "No need..."

Kirana's phone rang again, and she still ignored it.

"Thank God..." Tell Arya again.

"It doesn't matter..." Reply Kirana indifferently.

"Where do you know it doesn't matter, while you don't pick it up at all? Try lifting..." Persuade Aryan.

Kirana turns her phone around, and she sees Ayu's number calling. He glanced at Arya with an uncomfortable face, then picked up the phone hesitantly.

"Assalamualaikum, dear..."

Hearing Kirana's words, Arya's gaze was attached to her. He further sharpened his hearing, even though his behavior pretended to be indifferent so that Kirana could be more free to chat with his interlocutor over the phone.

Kirana looks excited when she hears something on her phone. "Why, Honey? What's up?"

Arya is getting curious as to who Kirana is calling with. He immediately walked towards Kirana even closer.

"Dye?" Call Kirana, and hearing the name called, Arya was a little relieved.

"Please don't worry Brother, honey... Calm down, and try to tell Brother what happened..." Persuade Kirana, even though she looks so worried.

"Sir Kiraannn... Kiran quickly went home... Father, Brother... Dad..." Ayu's voice screamed to her. The child seemed to be sobbing, making Kirana's face look tense to hear it.

"Dad? What's wrong with Dad, honey? You're okay, right?"

"Dad won't open your eyes again, sister... The crowd came to our house, they said our father was gone... Come on, brother, go home..."

Kirana's tears fell down profusely soaking her cheeks. The phone in his grasp that was still stuck to his ear fell and crashed on his bed at this moment. He was shaking, with unblinking eyes.

"What's wrong? Who's calling?" Arya asked panicked at Kirana's change in attitude.

Kirana did not answer. He was still in his position, while his tears were flowing unceasingly.

"Kiran...?" Call Arya, but Kirana still flinch regardless. "Aikaura..."

Arya shook Kirana's shoulder, even from a slow to slightly strong shock, but Kirana did not press her.

"All my struggles are in vain..." Kirana said softly as if regretting her situation.

"Everything is in vain..." Kirana shrieked with strong fingers squeezing her blanket.

Seeing that, Arya tightly hugged Kirana's body that was shivering violently. "Relax, Kiran..."

Kirana. He had regained control of himself when he received a warm hug from his former lover.

"Dad... Ayaaaahs... I'm sorry Kiran, Dad..." Cry broke. He seems to regret himself, and several times Arya tries to calm him down.

***

Hidayat got home, and he did not see a single light from inside the house, including in his room. It's just that he was a little relieved to find the motor of his late brother-in-law who used Maira was parked inside.

Hidayat tried to be calm. He knew it would not be easy for Maira to accept his actions. Suddenly Hidayat thought by Maira's words some time ago, that it would be difficult for him to accept Hidayat if he had other women out there.

He's getting restless. The fear of loss just comes. He knocked on the door of the room and called his wife.

"Goddessa, Mai... Maira, please open the door for a second, you need to talk..." Hidayat said while pressing the door handle, but it turned out that the room door was not locked at all.

Hidayat's heart was racing. His bravery shrunk instantly, he did not know what was on his wife's mind at this moment. He turned on the room light, and it turned out that Maira was asleep on the bed.

Hidayat slowly opened his alma mater, then carried his tired heart lying beside Maira. He knew his wife had not slept, but he did not want to hear or explain anything tonight.

Hidayat was awake for a long time. His eyes could not sleep for a single moment. His mind was still on what would happen later, but he also did not want to disturb Maira's mood.

The rest of the fever last night is still there, plus the problem makes his head feel heavy again. Then he fell asleep on his own.

It did not feel at dawn, and still heard the voice of the imam in the mosque reciting a remembrance after prayer. Hidayat woke up from his sleep. His body was heavy, and he felt cold. But when he turned to the right side, he no longer saw Maira beside him.

His heart began to fidget back. The fear of loss makes it strong to rise. He searches for Maira's presence on all sides of the room, but Maira is nowhere to be seen. Hidayat walked to the bathroom staggering, and there was no Maira either.

He thought about performing the dawn prayer first, because in the mosque was no longer heard the imam leading the prayer.

After performing dawn prayers, Hidayat finds Maira in the kitchen. He was very sure that Maira must be preparing breakfast.

The guess is right, in the kitchen Maira seemed busy arranging food on the dining table. He slowly approached his wife.

"Why don't you wake up brother? It's almost like my brother's morning prayers..." Hidayat started a conversation between them this morning.

Maira didn't bully him. He was just busy with his work.

"What's maira cooking? Is there anything you can help?" Tanya Hidayat kept trying, but still Maira was silent a thousand languages, even turning to him even though he was not.

"May..." Hidayat walked in front of Maira, but Maira dodged him.

"Maira can be angry... Maira can shout, curse, even hit Abang, but please do not diami Abang... Brother is uninhabitable, Mai..." Hidayat said despair.

Maira's tears spilled instantly upon hearing Hidayat's words. Her heart ached considering her husband's behavior last night.
