The parents of Mahesa walked side by side, down the hospital hallway that looked more crowded than a normal day. Understandably, this day coincides with the first Monday-day at the beginning of the week so that many patients arrive.
The middle-aged couple made their way to the elevator that would take their bodies to the ICU. The anxious tears mixed with hope were painted on each other's faces.
"Mas, do you think Mahesa is really human now?" naila asked when she and Putra were in the elevator. The attitude of the woman was so friendly and warm, as if forgetting that only a few minutes ago the two had a chance to squabble because of money problems.
The son who was still upset with Naila just shrugged his shoulders up and replied. "Do not know! I'm not a psychic who can see things in the future!" The man did not look at his wife at all.
Feeling ignored, Naila was furious but did not dare to do anything. He just turned the lazy eyeball while blasting his lips.
'Based on stupid husband! Being asked just can't answer! It's worth the company directly after you handle back, apparently your brain is empty!' maki Naila in heart. Can only mengedumel in the heart without daring to express it in front of the Son.
The arrival of Naila and Putra was anticipated by Samuel's doctor who was the doctor in charge during Mahesa's hospital stay.
When the couple arrives in front of the ICU, Kiki welcomes Naila and Putra.
"Doctor Samuel waited for Father and Mother in the room. Please enter!" Then Kiki opened the door of the room, where Samuel and the other doctors were resting while waiting for the shift to be completed. The female nurse shifted her body, and let the parents of Mahesa into the room.
Seeing the Son and Naila coming, Samuel got up and smiled at the couple. "Good morning, Mr. Putra and Ms. Naila. How are you?" sapanya friendly. Then extend your hand forward.
The son, as head of the household shook the man's hand and said, "Good morning, Doctor Samuel. My wife and I are fine." He and Naila sat down after being invited by Samuel.
After they all sat facing each other, the Son opened his voice. "If I may know, what important thing does Doctor Samuel want us to say? Is this related to the condition of my Mahesa-children?"
Doctor Samuel glanced at Naila and then looked back at the Son. The latest news about the condition of Mahesa who had moved the fingers is an advancement for almost five months Arumi's ex-husband was admitted to the ICU room. As a doctor, of course he was happy because finally Mahesa showed signs that he would soon be awake.
"Is what my ART says true that Mahesa has awakened?" tanya Naila who began to fidget because Samuel had not yet told the latest news from Mahesa-his favorite children.
Seeing the anxious look on the faces of the two made Samuel unable to bear it. Finally the man opened his voice.
"Pak Putra, and Ms. Naila, the news we told your housekeeper is true. A few hours before your arrival, the two nurses standing guard today saw Mr. Mahesa's fingers moving. Although the movement was weak, it was for us a progress to be grateful for."
"It all started with the two nurses who were on guard at the morning shift. While performing her duties as a nurse, monitoring the patient's vital signs, they accidentally talk about Doctor Arumi. Somehow the story, Mr. Mahesa gave an unexpected reaction. His fingers moved every time the two nurses mentioned Doctor Arumi's name."
"Then, what's the conclusion?" ask Naila impatiently. The woman is always the most emotionally difficult whenever someone talks about Arumi, her former daughter-in-law who was never considered to be in the Adiguna family.
Doctor Samuel took a deep breath, trying to muster up the courage to convey what the man had in mind at the moment. He did not know for sure what the problem between Putra Adiguna's family and his colleagues, he said, but looking at the video circulating in cyberspace he can conclude that their relationship is not in a state of good. Moreover, the news of Rayyan and Arumi's wedding which was recently held in a five-star hotel building, made the man realize that something serious had happened between them all.
"I suggest, Mr. Putra and Ms. Naila ask for the help of Doctor Arumi to visit Mr. Mahesa because I believe, what your son needs at this time is the presence of Doctor Arumi. That way, we hope Mr. Mahesa can wake up from the coma" said Dr. Samuel firmly.
"I didn't hear wrong. Doctor ... asked us to see that Mandul?" ask Naila to make sure if the hearing is not wrong. Samuel's doctor raised his head in response.
"Curtain! Don't hope! Until then, I would never see that unlucky woman in our family again. Even if it was the last way, then I refused it!" sulk Naila. Do not accept if Doctor Samuel asks himself or the Son to bring Arumi before Mahesa. The woman's efforts to keep Arumi away, but if in the end he also brought his former daughter-in-law back in Mahesa's life then his efforts will be in vain.
"But, there's no harm if we try, ma'am. Who knows how it works." Samuel's doctor tries to persuade Naila to get the woman to meet Arumi and ask her ex-daughter-in-law to be willing to meet Mahesa lying in the ICU room.
"I don't care! Anyway, I'll never ask that damn woman for help!" spray Naila with high tone. A glint full of emotion shone in the woman's eyeball.
Naila got up from the chair, staring cynically at Doctor Samuel while speaking. "Even if that Mandul is the only cure for Mahesa to be sober, I don't want to meet my useless ex!" Then the woman passed by without retreating to Samuel.
Now, only the Son and Doctor Samuel remained in the room. The room was quiet again for a moment.
"Is there no other way but to bring Arumi here, Doctor? Honestly, we kind of object to your advice, Doc. Especially seeing the dark history between us, making me or my wife hesitate to see Doctor Arumi." Different from Naila, the attitude of the Son is more mature. Able to withstand emotions and not easily ignited emotions when hearing the name Arumi called.
Doctor Samuel shook his head briefly. "For the time being, that's the only way we can get Mr. Mahesa out of his coma."
The Son's body felt weak, hearing that only Arumi was their only hope to restore the child's consciousness. If only there was another way, maybe now he has asked Aldo-assistant Mahesa to find a cure so that Mahesa is quickly awakened. However, if only Arumi is able to realize his favorite child from the coma, he must first discuss with Naila. However, Naila also has the right to vote in determining what is best for Mahesa.
