Husband's Regret: Betrayed for Not Getting Pregnant
Mahesa's Regret

"Excuse me, Sir. Just to remind you, this afternoon I have an appointment to meet with Mr. Ilham." Aldo stood proudly, in front of Mahesa's desk. "Pak Ilham sent a message if the meeting this time will be held at a Steak And Shake restaurant. Do you mind the location chosen by Mr Ilham?" ask Aldo.

Aldo wants to make sure if the Boss is okay if the meeting this time is held in a restaurant that used to have sweet memories when Mahesa expressed his intention to propose Arumi and make the woman his wife.

Mahesa placed the pen on the table, then massaged her painful temple. Again and again, the memories of the past while with Arumi flashed through his mind. It was as if the shadow continued to follow wherever it went.

"I don't mind if the meeting this time is held at that restaurant. Although Arumi's shadow will cross my mind while in the restaurant but I must remain professional in front of prospective customers" Mahesa replied.

"Good, Sir. Then let's go now! Do not let Mr. Ilham wait too long" said Aldo with a smile.

Mahesa walked out of the room. He turned to the right side of the hallway, then stepped straight until he arrived at a square box made of iron. The elevator was intended specifically for high officials, families and important clients of Adiguna Property.

As the elevator clinks and opens, a twenty-seven-year-old man steps inside. Slowly, the square box carried the man's body as well as Aldo down into the lobby.

"Please, Sir." Aldo opened the door for his boss. After making sure Mahesa was sitting safely in the back seat, she just got into the car. Put on a seat belt, then step on the gas pedal. The luxury car drove to a restaurant in one of the malls in Jakarta.

Mahesa's Alphard was traveling at a moderate speed. During the trip, Mahesa prefers to be quiet while enjoying the view from the car. When passing through a famous campus in the city of Jakarta, suddenly a shadow in the past flashed in the mind of the man.

The flashback

That afternoon, Arumi had just finished attending a lecture at one of the famous universities in Jakarta. Twenty-year-old beautiful virgin was so fond of in cream color leather pants combined with light brown blouse.

Arumi sat in the park chair while reading the lecture material that had just been taught. Those beautiful eyeballs move as the pages of the book move.

While seriously reading all the material in the book, suddenly a man's burly hand covered the woman's beautiful eyes.

"Let's guess who I am?" said the man.

"That must be you, right, Mas Mahes!" arumi. Although Arumi's eyes were closed and the man changed his voice but he was very sure that the person back there was Mahesa, the man he loved so much.

Mahesa snorted annoyed, because this is the umpteenth time Arumi can guess if she is the one who is trying to see the woman.

"Why the hell do you always guess me when I'm playing guesses with you" Mahesa lamented. He sat down at Arumi's side, sighing deeply. The man's face was so tangled like clothes that had not been ironed.

Seeing Mahesa's crumpled face, Arumi chuckles. The finger closed the book on the lap, then put it in the bag.

"Even if you change your voice or do plastic surgery on your handsome face, I will still recognize you, Mas. You know why?" Arumi knitted both eyebrows. "That's because I love you so much that your gestures and footsteps can be recognized even if my eyes are tightly closed."

Arumi changed her sitting position until the two of them sat facing each other. Slowly, the woman cupped Mahesa's face. Gently rubbing the lover's jaw.

"Maybe your love for me is not as great as my love for you, but I'm sure with sincerity this love will make the level of love in you increase every day. The longer we are together, the more love will grow and bloom forever."

"This relationship lasts because there are two people who love each other, you and me. If one of us isn't really sincere about loving his partner, it may have been a long time since our relationship ran aground in the middle of the road."

"You know for yourself, so much gravel is blocking our relationship. However, thanks to this power of love all passed just like that. Even these trials further strain our relationships. I'm more sure I'm going to make you a mother to my children."

"Are you willing to marry me even though our domestic life will be difficult at the beginning of the marriage?" mahesa asked, Arumi replied with a nod of her head.

"Are you willing to live with me in a cramped rented house on the outskirts of Jakarta?" Arumi nodded her head again.

"Then, are you also willing to accompany me even though for a lifetime, I am still a loser who is unable to provide happiness for you?" Again and again Arumi nodded her head.

"Mas, I am willing to accompany you in times of joy or sorrow. I'm willing to live a hard life as long as you stay by my side. Forever," replied Arumi with teary eyes.

"And I promise you, I will always love you under any circumstances. Keep the sanctity of our love until death do us part" Mahesa said. Baby, that promise is a promise.

The man who now serves as the president of a famous property agent in the country has broken the promise he himself said. It has tarnished the sanctity of a relationship that has long been built. A harmonious household built by Arumi must run aground due to an affair.

Flashback off

Mahesa let out a long sigh until a heavy sigh was heard by the man sitting behind the wheel.

"I'm sorry, I'm Arumi. I'm really sorry to have cheated on you" Mahesa muttered softly. His eyes were still staring at the scene outside the window.

"I'm sure, Mr. Mahesa is currently thinking about events in the past. He must have remembered the memories of his time with Bu Arumi, "the inner Aldo.

"I honestly feel sorry for you, sir, because now slowly your life is beginning to suffer. However, imagining how evil you were when you had an affair with Bu Arumi's best friend, the feeling disappeared instantly. I am content to see your suffering little by little."

"You seem to have forgotten, sir, that karma really exists. Not long ago you separated from Ms. Arumi, God has avenged one by one the pain that you once put in Ms. Arumi's heart." Aldo is still monologuing while stealing glances through the rearview mirror.

"God is Most Fair. He works in his own way."
