Arriving inside the reading room, Rayyan and Raihan sat next to each other. In front of them was Paradise sitting on a soft chair, staring at his two sons in turn.
"Try explaining to Papa what happened?" firdaus asked as if demanding to be answered immediately.
"What does Papa want to hear? Didn't Papa know why he and I had a fight." Rayyan looked at the cynical man who was sitting beside her.
Raihan stared back cynically at Rayyan. "He's insulting Mama, Pa. I, as a child, do not accept if my own parents are insulted by others!"
"The insult is indeed worthy of acceptance by ja*ang like your Mama!" rayyan. The man's eyes were like a dragon ready to spout fire.
Firdaus got up from the chair and kicked down the table. "Rayyan, watch your talk!" exclaimed the middle-aged man. "Lena is your Mama too. You have to respect it."
"Until any time, that woman will never be my Mama. My mother is Mei Ling not the other."
Firdaus looked frustrated at Rayyan's stubborn attitude. The young man's temperament reminded him of when he was young. So that makes him have to be patient and multiply istighfar because facing a child like Rayyan is very difficult if reciprocated by violence.
"Son, Papa knows Lena is not your real mother but she is married to Papa. That woman is your mother. Please respect her." Firdaus lowered his tone.
Rayyan chuckled at her seat. "Until Papa's mouth froths up, I will never consider Aunt Lena as my Mama."
The man glanced back at Raihan. This time his gaze went deeper as if he wanted to kill his half-sister right now. "It seems that Papa forgot. Because of that woman, my mom passed away the day I was going to have a national taekwondo tournament."
"Why forget or intentionally forget that incident?" his dreams with cynicism.
Firdaus could only sigh violently. Again, Rayyan brought up the events in the past when the man had tried to bury deep in bitter memories that claimed the life of his beloved wife. However, his eldest son reopened an old wound that made him even more guilty.
The half-century old man was so frustrated. Either way he advises Rayyan to forget the events of the past.
To be honest, Firdaus still felt guilty if he remembered the events in the past. He was always haunted by guilt for not being able to take good care of Mei Ling. Not only guarding her from the bad guy but also keeping her feelings as a wife who has given offspring to her.
Hearing the Papa's words, Rayyan clucked. The man who had just served as the deputy director of the hospital at a very young age was shocked, he did not expect Firdaus to ask him to forget the events in the past. The incident that made him an orphan at a young age.
"Papa may forget the incident, but I will never forget" Rayyan said with disappointed eyes. Then he got up from the chair and walked outside the room.
When Rayyan was about to climb the stairs, she passed Lena who was going to the kitchen to prepare a drink for Paradise. "Although you have replaced Mama Mei Ling in Papa's heart, but in my heart there will never be the name Lena Setiawati. Damn it!" whispered the man as he passed without looking back.
Lena can only stroke the chest. "Hopefully you can forgive Mama's mistake, Ray," she murmured.
Seriate.
