“Leathina?” Call Edward to disperse Leathina's daydream, "what do you think?” Ask again after Leathina regained consciousness.

“Ah, I'm thinking Edward.”

“What do you think?”

“Edward should you hold Aelfric like that?” Leathina asked as she pointed at Edward's feet which held Aelfric's body with one of her legs from rolling over and falling over.

“Why? I treated him quite well.” replied Edward indifferently and crossed both hands on his chest.

“But, will your treatment of her cause no problems later? The Duke said if something goes wrong it could cause a dispute between our kingdom and another kingdom that protects the elves.”

“What kind of problems? It is precisely he who must be careful with us now.” Edward and his gaze turned out of the train window to see where they had left the smuggling depository.

“You mean? Why?” Leathina asked puzzled by Edward's words which were inversely proportional to what her father had explained.

“The elves had their own territory within the eastern forest no one could enter into his power if not allowed by the elven king himself, he said, that's because they cast a spell that can mislead anyone who tries to enter their territory without permission. The culprit of this problem must have escaped from his own territory and ended up being caught by hunters in the forest and sold to smugglers for auction.” Edward said, sitting quietly beside Leathina.

Edward saw the tip of Aelfric's eyelash shaking and realized that Aelfric was now fully conscious but was still pretending to be unconscious.

“So what will we do to him?” Tanya Leathina who also noticed Aelfric and felt the same way as Edward until the two smiled planning something on Aelfric.

“Maybe you can make her a slave in a few years Leathina then after that be returned back to her place of origin or just give her to me I will hire her as a slave.”

“What king of the elves will not get angry if he is made a slave?”

“Of course not, even the elf king will feel grateful if we help him punish the opposition like.”

Aelfric's eye brows seemed to be furrowing withstanding the omosi, the longer he heard Leathina and Edward's strife the more he could no longer linger to pretend unconsciousness.

“You!” shouted Aelfric suddenly a moment after opening his eyes, “Dare to talk about the unconscious.” He then harrumphed angrily and looked at Edward with a dislike.

“I didn't know you were up.” Reply Edward without a headache.

“Hei! Do not act as if nothing is happening.”

“My name is Edward, not hey.”

“I don't want to know your name, you were the one who hit me unconscious.”

“You fainted because your body condition is not good, why blame me instead. Weak base.” Reply Edward then at the end of his sentence sedik whispered Aelfric to make Aelfric's self-esteem feel denigrated.

“I can beat you now, here!” Challenge Aelfric to Edward and a sizable wind suddenly swirled around them.

“We get to.” Leathina tried to break up and saw the Yarnell family residence.

The strong wind that was centered around them slowly subsided then disappeared completely as Aelfric sat back in place.

“Mr Duke, Miss Leathina and the others have returned” reported one of the guards to Duke Leonard when he saw the horse carriage Leathina used back to the mansion.

“Really?” Duke Leonard immediately put down his pen and documents, walking as quickly as possible to welcome the arrival of Leathina.

“Leathina, how are you doing are you okay?” Duke Leonard asked Leathina who had gotten off the train.

“I'm fine, my father will return with the rest of the soldiers to help Winter and Prince Yardley.”

“Duke, take care of this boy.” Said Edward while pointing at Aelfric who was standing behind them, “I will also be back to help Leathina.” Connect again.

“I don't want anyone else to take care of me other than Leathina.” Aelfric rebelled and held onto Leathina's hand with all his might.

“Kakak Leathina.”

“Leathina, you're back.”

Nora danvNicholas exclaimed almost simultaneously and with a slight dash towards Leathina.

“I would be an object of contention if they saw Aelfric like this against me.” Inner Leathina and massaging her forehead did not want to imagine what would happen next.

“Sister Leathina did you bring a new sister?” Nora screams and runs towards Leathina then pulls Leathina's hand trying to take her off Aelfric.

“Who is this freak?” Nicholas asked probing and looked at him with a dislike look.

“Whose are you?!” snapped Aelfric no less fierce, “Pokonya I would not want to stay here if Leathina is not there!”

“Then stay in the stables.” Nicholas answers a fight with Aelfric.

“Pak”

Edward again hit the back of Aelfric's neck until unconscious and then gave it to the guard to be treated immediately.

After reporting to Duke Leonard about what had happened and how things were in contraband storage, Leathina and Edward immediately returned to the smuggling storage lodge with reinforcements.

A day has passed the victims of human smugglers have been rescued and some of them were immediately sent back to their respective places of origin and some remain to assist in further investigations of the masterminds of the the crime.

And two criminals guarding contraband have also been captured by Winter and Yardley, the two criminals have been held in a dungeon for interrogation by Winter and Duke Leonard, who are responsible for arresting their boss.

While the existence of Aelfric has been known by the king of elves, as Edward said, Aelfric was indeed trying to get out of the territory of the elves because he wanted to adventure to see the outside world and his plan was about because he was very young, then because Aelfric was stubborn he ended up secretly escaping and ended up getting caught by the criminals.

And just like that time passed quickly until the night of Leathina's birthday party arrived, all the servants were busy decorating the banquet hall and arranging all the food and drinks to serve the guests later.

“The mail you sent to Mr. Zeyden I have sent.” Anne tells Leathina of a letter she had previously written to send to the magic tower where Zeyden was.

“So have there been any replies? I sent it since this morning.” asked Leathina.

“Iya, Mr. Zeyden has sent his reply Miss.” Anne said as she handed Leathina a letter.

“Alright, good work Anne. Now help me get ready.”

Anne brought a dress previously ordered by the Duchess to be worn by Leathina. A luxurious silver dress for Leathina the color blends with Leathina's hair color and matches her blue eyes.

The dress worn is made of a long satin whose ends fall down to a slight touch of the floor and on the part of her neck has a piece wide enough to show the shoulders of her neckline due to a symmetrical cut where her shoulders remain left open and decorated with soft lace at the end makes the dress worn by Leathina look more luxurious.

According to Leathina's request the dress she wore was quite difficult to remove because on her back there were many ropes that must be tied if worn and vice versa.

“What's finished?” leathina asked when she was exhausted and tired of waiting for Anne to finish the bond behind her.

“This is the last strap Miss, but why Miss wants to suddenly wear a dress that is difficult to wear like this is not as usual who likes clothes that are easy to wear.” Said Anne while continuing to tie the ropes in Leathina's dress. “Nah now done.” Anne rubbed her sweat with her shoulder then looked at Leathina with satisfaction.

“Give me a glass of water Anne.”

“This Miss.”

Leathina ate some medicinal pills then immediately drank to neutralize her bitter taste.

“Because it's a special night, so of course I have to prepare.” Leathina answered Anne's question after she finished taking the medicine and returned the empty glass to Anne.

“Who?”

“I'll go to check on her miss.”

Anne immediately opened the door and saw Nicholas standing in front of Leathina's door in neat clothes.

“Why?” tanya Leathina then approached Nicholas.

“Alright, thanks Nicholas.” Leathina answered smiling and then grabbed the hand Nicholas held out to her.

“No need to hesitate.” Nicholas replies then the two of them immediately leave for the main hall where the party is held.

“Oh, Yes Happy Birthday Leathina.”

Leathina simply smiled at what Nicholas had given her, then recalled the first birthday of the year and first for Leathina after surviving the years she had heard from her father Duke Leonard.

All eyes were on Leathina and Nicholas as the two of them entered the main hall, there were all sorts of gazes that explained the various curiosity for them especially the noble classes, how Leathina was able to return safely and however for twenty years Duke Leonard never threw a party for his own daughter and then suddenly made a special party for his daughter who just revert.

Everyone in the kingdom knew that Leathina did not have a good relationship with her family but the sight now was quite different from the rumors that circulated where Nicholas himself who ushered in the arrival of Leathina and Duke even the Duchess greeted him with a smile.

“This party I'm hosting for my daughter.” Duchess spoke a word to start the party after Leathina arrived, “And before I started it all I want to say first is happy birthday to my daughter Leathina Yarnell who is 21 years old.”

After hearing what Duchess Nice said, the party hall rumbled because there was no tofu re-celebration written in the invitation but just Leathina's welcome home made the guests feel bad for not bringing gifts.

“Oh, You don't need to worry about birthday gift problem. My daughter Leathina does not attach importance to such trivial things she has had everything,” Said the Duchess deliberately so that no one humbled Leathina anymore especially the problem of being born as a half-breeder.

“Please enjoy the party.” His welcome again then mingled in welcoming the guests he had invited.

“Go.” Leathina spoke suddenly as Nicholas saw some of her acquaintances.

“You okay by yourself?” Nicholas asked worried about Leathina because people from the noble class seemed to be very curious about Leathina.

“I can take care of myself.”

“Alright, then I'll go briefly greet the guests.” Nicholas left Leathina alone to greet the guests he knew.

People began to swarm Leathina to give her a birthday greeting, but Leathina deliberately put on her flat expression and saw her antagonistic face that managed to make people not dare to approach her again.

After Nicholas left Leathina walked around the banquet trying to find someone.

“Brak” someone suddenly deliberately crashed himself towards Leathina.

“Aww” screeches when falling to the floor.

“Yasmine?”

“Ma-forgive me Miss Leathina, I-I really accidentally bumped into you.” Yasmine said stammered with a thousand expressions that could always attract the sympathy of the people.

Leathina's words really pierced Yasmine's heart, but as Yasmine gazed at her surroundings that managed to attract the sympathy of people-oramg then smiled cunningly at a glance but no one noticed it other than Leathina who had known its nature.

“Giss” Murmured Leathina and left just like that leaving Yasmine who is now in a crowd.

Leathina's muttering was heard by Yasmine making Yasmine clench her hands until her hands reddened.

“Leathina!” exclaimed a man greeting Leathina from a distance.

“Hai! Troy!” reply Leathina was no less excited to see her friends.

“Argh” Nina suddenly punches Troy until he curls up and grimaces but still walks towards Leathina.

“You must call him formally Troy, and whatever way you greet a noble woman, we are not in the market shouting at thieves.” Nina muttered that her friend was not able to maintain her ethics even though she was mingling with angsawan who usually do not like the existence of ordinary people like them.

“How are you doing Leathina?” Say hello to Adam slightly bowed then strapped back to honor Leathina.

“I'm good, you don't have to be that formal to me. What about you guys?"

“We are good but Leathina.” Nina answered, but are you okay? About the commotion that just happened..” Nina's words were interrupted.

“I Tida...”.

“You were really cool earlier when you said disgusting!” nina exclaimed suddenly to make Leathina just smile to see Nina talking while mimicking her style when she left Yasmine earlier.

“You heard it?”

“Of course everyone heard it. Just now the atmosphere suddenly stiffened no one dared to swarm when you two collided until the sound of breath could be heard.”

“Do you guys have trouble getting here?”

“Everything is smooth it's just that actually when the invitation from the Duke residence came to our headquarters thought it was a letter of appointment.” Troy's bus on Leathina, “But what's scarier than the arrest warrant turns out to be the underworld attending the nobles' party, the, they no one wants to talk to us when they find out our identity you see there,” Troy points to a group of people, he said, “That's a collection of nobles when I tried to get closer earlier they instantly broke up.”

“The clothes are good for you Nina.” Leathina tried to shift the subject.

“Yes, I did not expect to wear it I guess this dress will only be stored continuously in the closet.”

“I too, Look. This is the shirt we bought with Leathina.” Troy does not want to lose to Leathina.

“It matches you two.”

“Oh yes Happy birthday Leathina sorry well no gifts because we just found out.” Nina congratulated Leathina.

“Happy birthday Leathina.” Adam was almost at the same time as Troy.

“Thank you, I don't need a gift like the Duchess said I have everything.” Leathina replied in a joking tone.

“Someone is watching you.” Adam's whispers suddenly while Troy and Nina nod in favor of Adam's words.

“I know, don't you care. I'll take care of it yourself you guys enjoy the party eat as much as you can.”

Before Adam told Leathina that someone he was observing Leathina had noticed it first even when she first entered the hall with Nicholas earlier.

Leathina walked away from the crowd deliberately broke away to lure the person who had been watching her since just now following her trying to pull her into her trap.

“Kakak Happy Birthday!” Nora screamed and blocked Leathina's path and gave her a hug.

“Imacquired Nora. Enjoy the party I want to find Anne to help me." Leathina smiled so that Nora would not be disappointed, then hurriedly left her.

Leathina looked around her then her eyes were fixed on the corridor leading to the garden which looked deserted and with the usual steps Leathina walked towards there.

Taps... Taps... Taps...

Vaguely Leathina heard the footsteps of someone who was following her sound like the sound of the feet of a man wearing men's pantofel shoes.  

The more Leathina stayed away from the crowd and went to the quiet area the more clearly Leathina heard the footsteps that followed her.

Leathina continued walking pretending to be unaware that someone was following her then deliberately stopped as if she was looking for fresh air.

The footsteps that had followed Leathina were not heard from again after Leathina did not walk again.

Leathina fretfully fumbled at the dagger she had hidden behind her dress, sucked it up and attacked if the person following her would hurt her.

“Excuse Miss Leathina.” Sapa a man suddenly made Leathina undo her intention to pull her dagger and attack the person who followed her.

“Umpanku successfully eaten.” Inner Leathin then turned around and smiled raham looking at the man who was following her.
