Chapter 129

“Don't make trouble as long as I'm not here.” Liza commemorates her sister Emely before going with Yasmine to attend a party to be performed by the Yarnell family.

While Emely just nodded in understanding that her brother was not constantly scolding her and giving her a long lecture just because he was going to leave her alone.

After warning her sister in a hurry Liza walked into Yasmine's room.

“From anywhere you are!” yasmine snapped when she saw Liza finally coming to her room after a long wait, “I can be late because of you!” he said with a ketus then immediately walked out followed by his service. Liza did not dare to answer for fear of making Yasmine even more annoyed.

Liza quickly opened Yasmine's door and allowed her to enter the carriage first, then shouted to tell the coachman to leave to take them and Liza finally got on the train the horse follows Yasmine to the party.

“Please show your invitation Miss.” Said a guard as Yasmine's horse-drawn carriage was about to pass through the gate and enter the residence of Duke Leonard Yarnell.

“This Mr.” Said Liza who got off the train to show Yasmine's invitation.

“Good, please pass.” Said the guard returning the invitation card to Liza after checking the invitation they had brought and allowing them to pass.

Liza got back up then the carriage finally returned to walk through the gate and entered the Yarnell residence.

“Please Miss Yasmine.” Said Liza opening Yasmine the train door and allowing her nonanya to get off the train.

The two of them walked towards the main hall where the party was being held, then upon seeing the guard standing guard in front of Yasmine's entrance immediately walked up to her to ask.

“What Prince Yardley has come?” Yasmine asked the guard as she was about to enter the main hall where the party was held.

“Come Miss, Your Highness Prince Yardley is there.” The guard spoke while pointing towards Prince Yardley who was seen talking to someone.

Yasmine looked in the same direction then looked at Prince Yardley and thoughtlessly left the guard intending to approach Prince Yardley.

“Greetings noble first prince.” Yasmine said as she lowered her head to salute Yardley.

“Yasmine.” He then ended the conversation with his interlocutor.

The people who were talking to Prince Yardley bowed before leaving Prince Yardley with Yasmine.

“The clothes are suitable for you.” Praise Prince Yardley to Yasmine who wears a golden dress matching her hair color.

“Thank you Prince I'm flattered, the queen who presented this dress to me.” Yasmine then smiled kindly as prince Yardley had praised the dress she was wearing.

“So what made you come to see me Yasmine?”

“Of course to ask you to be my partner tonight.” Yasmine replied, holding the right arm of Prince Yardley.

“Alright, it must be my mother who asked you, right?”

The two of them then walked side by side into the main hall and instantly the entire gaze continued to follow the two of them, a pair that everyone had always desired to see.

“Iya, the Queen asked me to take care of you so as not to roam here.”

“Last-lately it seems like you've been seeing my mother a lot, Yasmine. What are you talking about with my mom?”

“Stop who knows.” Yasmine replied then smiled amiably and waved her hand towards the noble ladies who greeted her as she entered the main hall along with Prince Yardley.

“Young master Nicholas and Miss Leathina enter the hall together, really?” a woman whispers and is heard by Yasmine.

“Are the rumors that have been spreading that Miss Leathina is not liked by her family fake? The Duke and Duchess even threw a party just for Miss Leathina." Said the other woman who started gossiping.

“Look, didn't Miss Leathina become more graceful and beautiful.”

“True, I know Miss Leathina is already beautiful. But this is more than I imagined look at her smile.”

“I will have a tea party and plan to send Miss Leathina an invitation hopefully she will come to my party.”

“Act me too.”

People who used to only gossip about the ugliness and nature of Leathina over time turned into expressions of praise for Leathina, they then form a group of Leathina admirers who are now known as the only women who have the highest status in the kingdom who were born as the daughter of a Duke and have everything.

“These damn people, dare to praise Leathina in front of me even though some time ago always stuck with me and demonized Leathina for me.”

“Yasmine?” Summon Prince Yardley as he felt his right arm had been firmly gripped by Yasmine involuntarily.

“Oh, I'm sorry prince. I must be too nervous.” Yasmine said then immediately released the arm of the Yardley prince she was holding.

 “Why are you nervous?” Yardley asked Yasmine.

“A-I'm afraid if it turns out Miss Leathina doesn't like me when I attend her party, you know for yourself that Miss Leathina has not liked me.”

“You think too much Yasmine.”

“What do you mean prince? but it's true, all this time he always nodded.” Yasmine did not receive Prince Yardley's simple response because usually the Yardley prince would react and tell Yasmine to calm down because she would protect him in case something happened.

“It turns out Leathina is not as bad as you think Yasmine is, she is actually good so you don't have to take too much heart if she treats you bad because that's how she behaves.” Prince Yardley.

Yasmine's eyes widened in disbelief hearing a defense for Leathina coming out of Prince Yardley's mouth. “Prince?” Call him Prince Yardley but there's no reply, Yasmine then looks at where Prince Yardley's gaze went and discovers that Prince Yardley is now continuing to lead to Leathina who is a few meters ahead of those who are standing with the Duchess and the Duke to party opening.

“This is a danger, I can lose my precious assets if prince Yardley starts to like Leathina and doesn't like me anymore like before.” Yasmine begins to panic and pinches the back of her hand the habit she has if she panics or thinks too hard.

“Yasmine?” Call Prince Yardley who finally looks towards Yasmine and sees Yasmine's paled face, “Are you sick?” ask Yasmine.

“I don't feel well prince.” He answered without looking into Yardley's eyes.

“Wait here, I'll get you a glass of water.” Prince Yardley left Yasmine and went to get her a glass of water.

“I have to do something, just relax Leathina I will restore your image as before.” Yasmine started thinking and came up with an idea that she would use to attack Leathina in front of everyone.

Yasmine sees Duchess Nice and Duke Leonard walking away from Leathina to greet the guests and is accompanied only by Nicholas but moments later Nicholas also finally leaves Leathina to greet his guests aslo.

Leathina was left alone and moments later the people began to swarm Leathina to congratulate her on her safe return and to wish her a happy birthday but Leathina stared at them with a cynical look that not a single person dared to approach anymore.

Yasmine smiled in satisfaction when she saw how Leathina's reaction that was still feared by everyone compared to her that many people liked.

“Keep being like that, though,  I'm not like you who were born and instantly have everything power and wealth in your hands that makes everyone jealous of your position I mean so don't blame me for seizing your position because of me also want to be at the top like you, Leathina.”

The more people who noticed Leathina made Yasmine feel even more removed from her position. Therefore during his life Yasmine continued to strive for her ability to be recognized by people but as hard as Yasmine tried to remain second because of her family status is not higher than Leathina.
