“Welcome gentlemen.”

“Welcome to our settlement.”

They were welcomed and well-groomed by the people, unceasingly they took turns welcoming the arrival of Duke Leonard, Edward, Zeyden and Aelfric.

“Kakak Lea?!” exclaimed one of the girls who was standing in the doorway, then slightly ran towards the arrival of Duke Leonard and the others where they were gathering.

After standing right in front of the four people who came to his settlement, the girl continued to look to the right and left looking for someone she did not find.

“Where is sister Lea?” ask Damian excitedly.

“She didn't come, it's just her friends.” Damian said to his sister, Demina.

“Haiss, I guess Lea's sister is coming, a waste of time.” He said with a snort and immediately left the four people.

“No manners,” murmured Aelfric when he saw Demina's behavior that did not welcome him well.

“What are you?!” Demina asked slightly against Aelfric's words which turned out to be hearing Aelfric's muttering just now.

“I ..” Aelfric said he wanted to give, but was cut off when Edward and Zeyden held his shoulder and forbade him from mentioning his identity to them.

Inevitably, Aelfric finally complied with them and undoes his intention to tell the girl who made him feel annoyed because he had humbled himself.

“See, nobody's right!” Demina belittled feeling victorious because Aelfric could not answer her.

“Demina!” snapped her brother Demian and managed to load Demina speechless and immediately went back into the hut.

“Force the attitude of my brother sir, his nature is a bit rude but actually good,” Damian apologized for his sister's bad attitude towards the people he brought it.

“It's okay, Damian.” Duke Leonard replied calmly.

“Then we will immediately return to our previous resting place, sorry for having inconvenienced you guys.” Duke Leonard said, intending to immediately leave the new settlement of the former bandits and return to their camp that he had just left.

“Why not just stay here sir, besides staying here is much better than outside, right?” Asked one of the residents and wanted to embrace Aelfric but Aelfric gave a dislike look until he pulled his hand again and just smiled.

“Iya Mister, why not stay here for tonight.” Damian also agreed that the four of them could stay at their place.

The Duke looked at Edward and Zeyden, they both nodding a small sign that he had agreed to stay there for a while.

“Well if you insist then we will stay here for tonight,” Duke Leonard said agreeing and will stay at their place with Edward, Zeyden and Aelfric.

“Hey! Provide a decent bed for our four guests.” Shouted Damian's father asking people to prepare a place to stay for his guests.

Please come with us gentlemen.” Damian said as he stepped into the hut, seen in it the hut room they entered had one room without a bulkhead so that the whole could be seen freely.

There were small beds lined up inside the hut they entered and on the other side of the room were several chairs and tables made of wood.

“I'm sorry sir, we don't have a private room. “ said Damian's father who also accompanied the four of them, he said, “This is only a temporary place to stay if our houses have been completed in the wake then we will move soon which is why many beds are lined up here, the men live here and the women live in the hut next door.” Damian's father spoke as he led them all to the seats there and allowed the four of them to sit down first and chat with the others.

“Actually these gentlemen where to go?” asked Damian's father curiously after sitting on the chair.

“Iya sir, you want where.” Ask the others curious.

“We want to go to the east forest.” Edward answered their questions.

“Eastern forest yes.” Demian muttered while thinking back to what the eastern forest was like.

“Oh, the eastern forest that belongs to the elves!” after he managed to remember.

“Yes we're going there, have you been there?” Taya Zeyden to Damian.

“We never went there because we were just bandits not adventurers like you guys, but we heard many stories of adventurers who had the opportunity to go to the east forest.” Answer Damian's father.

“Really? Aelfric asked curiously because during his stay in the eastern forest he had never heard of anyone coming to his place.

“Yes but only a few managed to return and even then they only reached the eastern forest border, they could not enter. they say there is a barrier barrier blocking them from entering into the eastern forest.”

“Oh, who are these people?” denis asked with a probing gaze when she realized that there were four strangers who were now with them, “Didn't it have been decided that you should not bring strangers into the settlement before the construction is complete,” he said again while looking at his father with a dislike gaze.

“They're friends Miss Lea,” replied her father and started explaining to Denis.

“So like that,” Denis finally understood after his father and Damian told him, “About that I got bad news from the city.”

“What is it?” ask Damian curiously.

“There is news circulating in the kingdom that Miss Leathina fell in eternal sleep after fighting a criminal.”

“Where did you hear that rumor?” Duke Leonard asked who was a little surprised because the news about Leathina had been known by people all over the kingdom.

“Not me who spread it.” Zeyden defended himself.

“If it wasn't you and your subordinates who kept it? Didn't you know his condition.” Aelfric began to emphasize his suspicions to Zeyden.

“Me and Andy couldn't possibly spread such strange rumors, what's in it for me.”

“To whom else if not you, I continue to be where Edward and Edward also never came out of his castle in the kingdom. Can't possibly have her own father spreading it.”

“True, Lea fell into eternal sleep, I hope you guys don't spread any no-no rumors about Leathina.” The Duke finally confirmed because the people who were with them were now looking at him with probing gazes.

“So right,” murmured Denis who looks worried.

“The situation is that bad, yes,” Damian also looks worried when knowing the truth of the news obtained by Denis in the city, “So what is your goal to go to the eastern forest to ask for the help of the elves who are said to have unique abilities and rare plants that can be used for a powerful medicine?” Damian asked the four of them.

“Yes, we are going to the east forest to memi ..”

“You cannot tell them the purpose of this journey, nor do we know if they are good people or not,” Edward cut off Duke Leonard's words that will tell them the purpose of their journey. He disagrees if Duke Leonard reveals where they are headed or what they are traveling for.

“It's okay Edward, they all look very worried Leathina.” Duke Leonard felt a little calm when he found out that there were many people who were worried about Leathina's condition, that was why he told them about his daughter so that they could feel a little calm after knowing the real situation.

“But you shouldn't ..” Edward still disagreed if Duke Leonard told them.

“It's okay Edward, they won't make trouble either,” Duke Leonard said as he patted Edward's shoulder slowly to calm him down and ask for his trust.

Edward finally resigned to accept the decision of Duke Leonard, he then returned to calm and let Duke Leonard tell the true situation to all of them.

“True. The four of us are going to the eastern forest to ask the elves to help us treat Leathina,” said Duke Leonard who in the end really informed Leathina's condition to all of them.

Duke Leonard only tells things that he thinks are not a problem for many people to know but the important circumstances and details he did not tell and still he made a secret for a while so as not to invite trouble or danger is ahead.

The conversation they had lasted quite a long time, though, they discussed important matters in the kingdom to the problem of Leathina and the work they now pursue after stopping being robbers until finally Duke Leonard was forced to stop the chat before taking more time.

“Gentlemen, we'd better finish this up here first. We should rest before continuing our long journey tomorrow,” Duke Leonard politely stopped the chatter that continued with excitement for talking about things they found interesting.

“Good sir please rest,” Said Denis and Damian's father while showing the four small beds in the corner and lined up with each other.

“Thanks,” says Zeyden friendly.

The four of them then immediately moved from their seats to the bed that had been provided for them, the others also did the same and after that turned off the lighting before falling asleep.

The next day before sunrise Duke Leonard had woken up first, as did Edward and Zeyden except Aelfric who was still seen sleeping soundly in his place.

Zeyden then immediately woke Aelfric who was still soundly asleep, after several shocks and calls from Zeyden he was finally able to wake Aelfric.

Aelfric blinked his eyes several times after waking up and began to gather his energy back, after fully realizing Aelfric then immediately sat down on the edge of his bed. Duke Leonard, Edward and Zeyden are now ready to go on their way back.

“Build! And be prepared we will leave soon to continue the journey.” Edward told Aelfric.

Aelfric who realized that it was only him who still had not cleaned up his belongings immediately woke up and hurriedly started to gather his belongings back to get ready to continue their journey back.

“Come go!” aelfric shouted after putting on his shoes.

The four of them then immediately went out to return to where they had yesterday kept their horses.

“You're leaving?” Denis asked who appeared to confront them at the door.

“Join us for breakfast before you continue the long journey,”, and invite them to have breakfast with him.

“Thank you, but we are in the latest hurry. We had to go back to our place yesterday to take our horses back.” Zeyden politely declined Denis's invitation.

“Oh, about that take it easy. You don't have to worry about your vehicle.”

“What do you mean?” ask Aelfric who can not understand the core of Denis' words.

“We've picked it up for you!” damian exclaimed as he carried a tray of four bowls of warm soup in his hand.

“Come, we have to have breakfast first before continuing the journey. This will save you time, right?” Damian said as he distributed the four bowls of warm soup he brought to Duke Leonard, Edward, Zeyden and Aelfric.

“Where is our horse?” ask Edward.

“Your horses are there.” Denis told them where their horses were and pointed in the direction where they were.

Four horses were being fed and drank by the people. Their horses seemed to be well cared for.

“Let's sit down and eat,” Damian asks them to enjoy the food he brought for them, “After crossing this border you will enter the forest, that means there you will not find any more shops or food stores so make your stomach full first before continuing your journey.”

Seeing that all made Duek Leonard have no reason to refuse the offer offered to them and ended up staying a little longer to spend their breakfast that had been given by Damian.
