Chapter 128: Meeting With the Royal Envoy

Sitting at the end of a long table, watched by many pairs of eyes, Mavis calmly bit her apple. While chewing, he spread his gaze towards those present then nodded, in order to allow the guests to convey the message.

"Greetings, Prince Asta. My name is Rafael, I represent the messengers that His Majesty the King sent to read the following letter to the Prince." Then the man took out a red parchment.

"With this marked as the King of Srivijaya, King Cornelius Dixon ordered Prince Asta Dixon to return to the main capital fortress as soon as possible. This is because the kingdom will soon start fighting, starting three months from now."

"Aren't we supposed to be five or six months away? Why has it become so fast, has something happened to the kingdom?"

Rafael raised his hand, making Mavis' previously diverted focus go straight to him. "Prince, I have another message from His Majesty King Cornelius. "There's no need to see me wonder like that, after all I've planned to return to the capital in the near future, there's a business I want to do with someone in the capital." Then Mavis smiled seeing them sigh in relief and nodded.

After all the affairs with the prince were finished, Raphael rose up and followed by the other messengers. Then the man saluted the prince, before finally taking the others away from the room. After the door was closed, only Mavis remained with her followers, coupled with the presence of Reus and Sasha who stood hesitantly near one of the walls of the room.

"You two sit down, I want to hear the reason why the two of you can arrive at this place" said Mavis with a face full of calmness. In fact, he already had a rough idea about Reus' existence, surely the man's purpose was to come to this place because he had decided to serve him.

"You too, why did you come to this place? Didn't I tell you to take care of my mother?" Mavis was almost at a loss for words. Unlike the man before her, Mavis still did not understand why her maid had come to this border region? A servant, especially a servant who takes care of the royal family mansion should not leave the royal capital. Others will only get severe punishment and be dismissed from their jobs if they break the rules.

At that time the queen had no suspicion at all and believed that the herb could nourish her body. Recalling however beside the concubine stood a man wearing all-white clothes accompanying her. Of course, the queen welcomed him very well and trusted that just like that."
