Chapter 52: An Attack From the Outside

A major change occurred in the settlement of the goblin race in the Ivar-ruled dungeon. Just a week after the overhaul of the structure of the workings of the dwarf creature, now the village that was previously very slum and far from the word feasible to live in, becomes a more comfortable place. Several wooden buildings began to be erected inside the large cave, they goblins now live in a new habitation. The performance of the four fields established by Mavis was really progressing rapidly and before long everything that existed in the shadow of Mavis was immediately realized. Mavis wants civilization in that place to be on par with the technology that is out there.

The atmosphere again got its peace. Since the goblins were only a few left, and it was only a bunch of female goblins and children, Ivar worked hard to teach them how to fight. Actually, female goblins should not go on the battlefield, but because of the direction of their Mavis the female goblins began to open their minds to join military training. That way, if they are in danger greetings they can fight or flee if they meet a strong opponent.

"King, what is it like, ga...?" A boy goblin with his snot rising and falling, was demonstrating a slashing motion using wood that had been modified into a sword.

"No, it's more like this." Ivar chuckled teaching the boy and moving his body into the correct movements. "Coley, I've warned you repeatedly don't call me King. Call me master, instructor, or teacher only, because now we serve the same king," Ivar said.

"Good, Teacher! ." the goblin smiled widely, then continued his training to perfect the movement.

"Sir, I have something important to discuss with you. I've called Luna, Isabella, and Bellatrix, they've gone to the meeting room." A female goblin with a new look came over to Ivar.

The goblin's name was Merlin, one of the four chiefs of the field who were under Ivar. He has a responsibility in the military. He is a goblin who has done a blood contract with his master, Mavis. That way his intelligence is already on par with ordinary humans. Now he has learned how to dress and whatnot. Just look, she is now wearing a dress and leather skirt, her hair is straight neat and tied with twigs wrapped around. It's just that he and the others haven't made what's called footwear. Their feet are strong compared to humans, it seems that they do not need it at this time because footwear according to them is nothing more than jewelry. Apart from that just looking at Merlin's appearance was now more than enough, it made the other goblins who were looking to become interested in styling like him.

"Well, we're talking inside," Ivar said, he frowned slightly after seeing Merlin's somewhat tense face, he became wondering what he wanted to convey to such a serious extent.

They both went to the meeting room. Immediately, the arrival of the two greeted the other three goblins who were already sitting in the room. The three goblins were the same as Merlin who was the person in charge of all four fields. They lowered their heads in a moment of salute as Ivar came and took a sitting position in their center, at that long table. Merlin joins Luna and confronts Isabella and Bellatrix.

"So, what's the important thing that we're going to discuss?" luna said, she couldn't wait to hear her sister's statement.

"It's related to the Twin Towers Empire. I got the information from the guards who were outside the dungeon. Earlier I had given instructions for them to build a monitoring post outside the dungeon. But the guard did not return to report. I've sent a squad to investigate the case, and I just got the report. It turns out they were found dead killed, not far from their bodies we also found another body, a human. The guards came back by dragging the body and showing it to me."

"What's? They're not trying to attack us anymore, are they? They shouldn't be that fast, considering the number of casualties from those we've already defeated is overwhelming" Luna said.

"What about those human traits?" Isabella asked calmly.

Merlin paused for a moment to remember what the human body looked like. After which he replied, "The man was dressed in leather clothes and pants, many of them carrying bow guns, while some of them carried ordinary sword weapons.

"It looks like it's not a soldier from the empire. I think he's more like a hunter. Here I look, they seem lost to the point of appearing somewhere near here" Isabella said.

"When the nearest human settlement is far enough away, it takes two days if on foot, another if riding will reduce the time by half. Isn't that weird? If they were just ordinary hunters why would it be necessary to search into the forest far away from their settlement?" bellatrix.

"Let's go to look outside. This is not something that can be underestimated. We don't know what the truth is behind the bodies of the humans, they could have been people from the empire who were deliberately sent to scout. I need to go to see if there are any other humans out there, we need to get rid of them. You guys get ready soon." Ivar got up and was about to leave.

But he remembered something. He went back to talking, "Isabella you have to stay, however we need you here, they won't understand doing it themselves."

Ivar remembered the construction and work the goblins were working on, it could not walk without direct direction from Isabella, because the goblins other than the ones in the room did not have intelligence like them. It will be messy if not handled properly.

Isabella reluctantly agrees to Ivar's orders.

The four of them then prepared and went out in a discreet manner. The guards who saw them only nodded and greeted without making a fuss. They came out of the cave, then immediately greeted with the blazing sun that dazzled their eyes.

"I hate this light." Luna clucked in annoyance as she tried to cover her eyes with her palms.

They all did that, except Ivar. Basically the goblins in this place hated the sunlight because it was too dazzling for them. They are not used to sunlight because they are always in a rather dark place, the lighting inside appears because of the light produced from the crystals that are on the ceiling of the cave, which is very dark, however, it cannot be compared to sunlight. The goblins had enough with the crystal rays inside, because their sense of sight was so sharp, they were used to seeing in a somewhat dark environment.

"Go into the woods" said Ivar. He saw the three of them having difficulty in seeing, he also chuckled proudly for not experiencing it.

"Sir, you have truly been blessed by the Great King! You are even resistant to this ray," said Luna with a look of envy.

"You're so greedy, Luna." Bellatrix spoke up. He was actually envious to also see that his superior could walk without the interference of sunlight. But he realized that it was too greedy to expect anything too big, considering that the four of them who were originally just ordinary and weak female goblins had gained quite a bit of a blessing by Mavis, that's already worth being grateful for. He's really grateful for that.

"You can rest assured, if your performance is good and can make you happy, you might just be like me. Therefore, work hard for you!" Ivar gave them encouragement.

"All right! I will make the Great One see me. That way I'll be like you, sir!" luna said as she clenched her fingers. He was excited when he imagined he could be like Ivar.

Basically they already knew what happened to Ivar, the former goblin king before. At the time of the battle, they even saw how Ivar was lying on the ground and was lifeless, but at that very moment Mavis resurrected him. In their view, it was all a miracle. They assume Ivar has become a goblin blessed by Mavis.

In the eyes of the goblins, they admired Ivar more than they did when he was the king of goblins. Ivar, who now has a charming form among goblins, has grown stronger than ever. They flattered Ivar to an extreme degree, like the droplets of a goblin god! While the god itself in their eyes was Mavis the Greatest.
