I'M THE NECROMANCER KING

I'M THE NECROMANCER KING
Chapter 97: Go Back and Pack

When the last blood belonging to the rebel warrior commander fell on the ground, Akio swung his sword to clear the bloodstains that were stuck. Afterwards, he sheathed back the sword and turned around to see where the master was. He immediately nodded, as a sign of the end of the battle in his place.

Turning on the other side Mavis looked calm as she approached the soldiers who stopped in confusion. They initially thought that the prince's group of soldiers was not enough against hundreds of rebel soldiers. However, unexpectedly they even became a one-sided massacre. It was the rebel soldiers who ended up being defeated by the group brought by the prince.

"You have been loyal to the kingdom, your courage is to be cherished." Mavis said with a smile on her face, she looked at the residents with a warm look. There was not the slightest trace of disdain and disgust at seeing them, making the inhabitants feel that the gods had granted the prayer they had been offering all along. They could truly feel the sincerity coming from the words of the prince.

"Thank you, Prince."

"Thank you."

The residents shed happy tears, while cocktails in front of Mavis. Among the residents there were also those who bowed and repeatedly expressed their greatest gratitude to the prince. The atmosphere in that place turned so heartwarming, leaving the prince speechless anymore.

Before long, a brown-skinned young man who was at the forefront of the population came forward and saluted his respects.

"Greet the Prince, my name is Masako, the representative of the people outside the walls. Prince, I am very grateful that the kingdom has sent the prince to this place to help us. I, as the representative of the population in the outer settlements, amusements to help the Prince to overthrow the tyranny of Baron Gustav, " said the young man named Masako.

Mavis saw how Masako saluted him, and she was a little surprised to find that the gesture was not a simple gesture on the surface. From what Mavis knows, Masako's greeting is very subtle, like the usual nobles. In his heart Mavis wonders, who is he?

"I'm sorry, but I can't accept any offers from you guys" Mavis said.

"Why, Prince?" Masako turns serious when Mavis refuses their offer to help. He began to be vigilant and began to suspect what scheme this little prince might have meant by coming to this place, if not to help.

"You will only be killed if you keep pushing forward."

"Thank you Prince, for worrying about our safety. However, the Prince needs to know that we have stood up so far because we have made up our minds. It doesn't matter if we get killed. It's still far better to die fighting for our rights than to die in a slum like this. At least when history is written we will not be ashamed of our descendants later, because we have fought," said Masako, now she looks at Mavis with a much better view. After he understood that the prince actually did not want them to be put in danger.

"Enough already, all of you. As a prince of the kingdom I order you to return to your respective residences and pack up. As soon as I finished taking care of everything inside the fort, you guys could already go back inside," said Mavis, she did not bother to see the next response from the residents on her words just now. He turned his mount and left, leaving the residents still in a daze.

Mavis returned to the place where Zahard was. Then when he got there, he immediately extended his hand to the little boy and said, "Hold my hand and go up."

Zahard hesitantly wiped his little hand on his clothes, as if he did not want to dirty the prince's hand. Then, he climbed on the horse and sat behind the prince, with both hands clutching the prince's back robe.

Actually, the boy still did not understand exactly what the prince had in mind to the point of being kind to him. It was fine if the prince only pitied him then therefore helped him when caught stealing bread. However, the prince was now even taking her away together? Anyone who witnessed this would definitely not believe what they saw with their own eyes. That was certainly true of the man who had previously provoked the prince.

The man now fell down with limp feet, looking at the scene before him in disbelief. The soldiers he relied on were killed just like that in front of some of the prince's bodyguards. A complicated feeling engulfed him and made him shiver in fear. As soon as he regained his senses, he immediately prostrated himself with an ugly face apologizing to the prince.

"Prince, I am willing to be your servant. Please forgive my life. I was a fool not knowing who the Prince was before. Forgive me," said the man, pardoning and trying to make the prince before him forgive him and bring him along. No matter being a servant, it was still in a better position than staying in a slum like this. As long as he could be useful as the prince's servant, he thought that he would benefit from it later.

However, different from what the man had imagined, the prince did not respond to him and did not even bother to glance at him. The prince continued to move with his steed along with Zahard, passing the man who was still prostrating on the ground. For the prince, there was no point in talking to the man anymore, let him live with the shame and regret of his folly.

"He wants to serve my Lord? Is it just a stupid and disgusting human being who seems to dare to think that far? That's right!" becky said inwardly when she realized the man's intent. He threw out a look of disdain, then immediately turned his body towards his mount. Then he took his horse after his master who had gone first.
