The gatekeeper of the outer royal capital had sent an earlier message to the family mansion. Observers who stood guard over the tower wall, from a distance caught the arrival of the prince along with a large group was moving towards the capital. The good news was not only among the royal family, it also reached the ears of Prince Arslan who was drinking tea at his residence. The man's face immediately turned bright and rushed out into the courtyard to welcome the return of the prince and also the figure he wanted to see.
"Greetings, Your Majesty."
After getting off the mount, Mavis along with some of her servants positioned themselves half-kow to pay their respects to the king. He smiled and then hugged with a longing for a while. The king welcomed the warm embrace and rejoiced that the child had returned safely.
"You've grown so well, son." The king took off the hug and chuckled as he touched the child's shoulders and arms. He realized that things had changed, that weak body he had once recognized had become solid. "How can it be that with just over half a year left, you have changed so much?"
"Dad is too much, I only did a little training during my time in the border region." Mavis scratched her non-itchy head. Afterwards, he glanced towards the line behind the king and immediately realized that something was lacking there. Mavis put on a worried expression and asked, "Dad, where's mom? Did something bad happen while I wasn't around?"
"Calm down, your mother is on her way to your grandfather's place." The king grabbed his son and took him leisurely to walk into the mansion, then he gave instructions to his guards and Kyle to give distance so that the two could have a casual conversation.
"Toran's Kingdom?"
King Cornelius nodded, instead of answering with a word.
"Isn't it very dangerous to travel when the enemy has started sending out scouts? Is it worth putting him in danger to get an additional ally on the battlefield?"
".... don't blame your father for not being able to stop your mother from leaving. You know for yourself, if your mom's determined I can't do much. He is actually very worried about you and wants to see your return. Only he still had anxiety and insisted on going to contact his father directly, asking for help in the upcoming war."
"All right, I get it" said Mavis.
Meanwhile, being in the back row of the shadow creatures walked along with the bodyguards. Prince Arslan, who had taken the position next to Lily, followed them into the mansion. The adviser to the Kayle-king felt strange about the prince's whereabouts, so he asked to confirm.
"Prince Arslan, is there anything you would like to discuss with His Majesty?" Kayle paused from her steps and intercepted the prince who was walking behind her.
"Miss Kayle? Oh, I just want to talk to Prince Asta, can that be?" prince Arslan.
"Prince Arslan and His Majesty Cornelius will go to speak, Prince Arslan can leave a question to me, after both of them have finished speaking I will convey it" Kayle said.
Kayle nodded, then kept the scroll and walked away from the prince. The soldiers and summoned creatures who had stopped were slowly walking back. However, beyond reasonable thought, Prince Arslan suddenly withdrew Lily's hand as he was about to continue his journey.
"Miss Lily." Hesitatingly the prince summoned the demonic woman before him. After a while the two stared at each other, Lily smiled and hinted at the prince to immediately release his wrist, preventing any misunderstandings.
"Sorry."
"Prince Arslan, what's the matter?" As usual, Lily smiled a friendly smile.
"Eng, no, I just want to ask if Miss is willing to go with me for tea? I have trouble spending it alone. You know, the nobles keep sending me lots of chocolate powder and tea."
"Sorry, Prince. Maybe next time I'll go with you." Lily paid her respects and immediately chased after the other shadow creatures.
Prince Arslan stayed at the scene to see the demonic woman's departure. For a moment he was silent and feeling sad, only after that he sighed then said softly, "Right, I was too excited and forgot the fact that he had just arrived and needed to rest. It's rude to ask, I'll apologize when I see her again."
Prince Arslan gave up on his intentions at the time and decided to return to his residence.
"It looks like this Old Granny has a fan of young people, doesn't it?" Isac chuckled slightly, trying to tease his friend.
"Stop talking nonsense. Didn't Master already warn you to keep up the attitude? Remember your current identity should not be known to others, as it will only trouble my Master" Moon said in a cold tone.
"Just a little boy, there's nothing to worry about" Bintang said.
"You told me what, huh!" Isac gritted his teeth and the veins around his face were clearly visible. He was very upset, from the past until now why was he always called a little boy?
"Star, you too." The moon cast a sharp look at her sister. "We'd better hurry up and catch up with Mikaela and the others."
Lily only chuckled as she covered her mouth when watching their little quarrel. She was not at all disturbed by the joke Isac made on her, after all Lily had known Isac for a long time, she was used to the big-mouthed child. The four of them immediately rushed after the herd that had already walked far ahead, there was no other talk.
