Chapter 61: Meeting Old Friends
Being in Earl Edward's territory, it had already been one day.
That morning Mavis and her group were taken to a room, then served with various types of food. Turning on the other side already stood Earl Edward who bowed for a moment and invited Mavis to sit down. The Prince is given a seat at the end, in the middle, while his group and the Earl take a sitting position at the side and face to face.
There was no talk at the time, very solemn and kind. The waiters began to bring additional dishes and wine. Merdeka ate the food greedily, especially Mavis. Meanwhile, seeing some of them like Samantha, Akio, Ozzi, and the others not eating, made Earl Edward frown and wonder. It was just that the noble was holding back to ask while still eating his dishes.
Finished with that, he immediately asked them,
"Didn't you like eating it? If so, I'll ask the waiter to bring me another one."
The nobleman circulated his gaze toward them demon summoned creatures, especially when he saw Giraldo who did not take a sitting position and stood behind Mavis. Basically, the nobles know they are ancient demons, but what makes him confused, does not a demon also need to eat? "Yes, Prince. Since yesterday they haven't eaten yet!" Sasha finished with her meal and commented.
Mavis did not reply and just smiled slightly, she wiped her mouth with the cloth. Next he turned his gaze towards the noble and said, "When can I meet him?"
As if understanding what he was called, Earl Edward smiled back and replied, "As you wish."
"Then take me to where I am now."
Mavis got up and followed the others. Earl Edward led the way along with two guards plus the bespectacled man. They came down from the building and moved past the balcony which was in the middle of the yard, and reached the end of the entrance to the other building.
The building looks very alive with walls attached to vines. After they entered, it was instantly spoiled with countless ornamental plants and medicines on neatly arranged pots. Being on the other side a long brown curly haired woman turned around when she learned of the whereabouts of those who came to visit.
"You're coming again?"
The woman displayed her calm and relaxed appearance. Like a beautiful butterfly she exuded a peaceful feeling, her eyeballs were dark green and her skin was as white as snow. To be honest, Mavis did not realize that she was a demon like her summoned creatures. He thought it was someone else, or just the servant of the devil.
"You guys...."
As soon as her bead eyes looked at the group of people who were behind Earl Edward, the woman smiled and shed tears. He immediately rubbed it and chuckled, then said, "In the end you found me."
"Lilly!"
"You're right Lily!"
Samantha walked quickly and hugged the woman's body tight and almost made her fall. She felt like she was meeting an old friend and it was hard to describe in words to express how happy she was.
"You went away and did not come back to see us. From the moment we parted ways on the quest, I thought you and a few others went back into seclusion, it turns out you're here, Lily."
"Sera?"
They all met and were nostalgic for some time. Mavis who saw it had no problem with it, she also enjoyed the atmosphere and watched from afar along with Earl Edward who was smiling haru and Sasha who was super confused.
"They know each other, sir?" sasha said in half a whisper.
"Yes, they're close friends. Oh yes, you can wait outside and relax with the atmosphere of the garden. There's something important I want to talk to them about."
"All right." No matter what business the prince had, Sasha happily walked out of the room and walked towards the park. After all he did not understand the relationship between them, rather than being the only person who did not understand what they were talking about, he would rather step aside and be able to relax sitting around looking in the garden.
"How did you find me?" said Lily.
"Lily, we finally found the chosen master. The old book has chosen its master, and we are now following my Master" said Samantha.
"really?"
Lily's expression was momentarily dazed, but quickly turned bright.
"Come, I'll introduce you to Mister." Samantha pulls Lily's smooth hand and takes her to where Mavis is.
From a distance Mavis sees Samantha taking the woman to her face. It was sudden and made him a bit nervous. However, it was only Mavis who knew, outside she smiled slightly and greeted the woman warmly.
"You must be the Lily they talk about so much?"
"Yes, sir." With a graceful gesture he saluted Mavis. Then he looked down and was a little sad and embarrassed. "I'm sorry, sir, for being late to recognize you."
"Miss?"
Earl Edward who saw the scene became dazed and did not understand what had just happened. She knew clearly what kind of demon she was, she had to be very proud in front of others, but now it was shamefully looking down in front of a boy? Although the noble knew Mavis was the master of many demons like Samantha and the others, why did his teacher Lily follow the prince's respect? It doesn't make sense, they even met for the first time. What has he missed?
"Ed, you can wait outside," Lily said with a calm face, she wasn't angry or anything. However, he knew that the student did not know what kind of bond he had with Mavis, and that it was a secret that could not be revealed to others.
