I'M THE NECROMANCER KING

I'M THE NECROMANCER KING
Chapter 132: The Dwarven Race

The day after the arrival of the allied kingdom, King Cornelius greeted his guests with a banquet at night. The atmosphere was festive as usual, the nobles were present in the middle of the celebration and had fun, chatting lightly with fellow acquaintances, with the intention behind establishing a good relationship for business between them.

Standing alone on the outer balcony, a pensive man with a bent face. His hand lazily propped his head, and he stared blankly at the crescent moon above the sky. Drifting with his mind drifting longing for the figure of a woman. The figure that always appears in his dreams, the woman who fills the recesses of his heart.

"Greetings, Prince Arslan, introduce my name Bernard." Walking closer to the man, the eldest prince woke up his reverie.

"Greetings, Prince Bernard," said Prince Arslan with a forced smile. For a moment he turned to pay his respects and turned back to him, continuing his activity looking at the star-studded sky.

It sucks, in the heart of Prince Bernard, to be upset and to curse the man before him. Were it not for his identity who was a prince from an eight affiliated kingdom, he would not have been willing to lower his ego to invite a chat first.

"It seems that you like the sky very much in this kingdom, is there not the same view in the northern region?" prince Bernard said, maintaining his calm demeanor instead of being offended by feeling neglected.

"Maybe you don't know, our kingdom is in an arid land surrounded by vast deserts. At night, the sky was much more beautiful than in this place."

Prince Arslan turned his body to the side and looked at his interlocutor with a flat face, then he continued his words, "Actually, what important thing does Prince Bernard want to say?"

"Ah no, I just want to chat with you." Prince Bernard dodged and hurriedly explained to the prince that he really only wanted to have a good relationship with him.

Prince Arslan is certainly not stupid, he is aware of the intentions behind it all, especially he has heard the slanted news from his subordinates recently about his mother who has done bad things to the queen. Thus it can be ascertained if Prince Arslan chooses to establish a friendship with him will only trouble one party. Surely this Prince Bernard just wants to take advantage of his connections.

"Then, there's nothing to talk about anymore." Prince Arslan also saluted the honor, before finally walking away leaving Prince Bernard who now looked ugly on the surface. He was furious, gritting his teeth and clenching fists behind his back. His patience had peaked, he really felt neglected like a useless piece of trash.

Meanwhile, in a different place, a group of dwarf creatures was building a camp outside the bottom of the hole. Basically they are a dwarf race that emerged from the underground, more precisely out of the dungeon that was outside the borders of the Osaka Kingdom.

"What about the reports of those patrolling around the settlement? What is the battle with the humans again?" The heavily bearded dwarf sat in front of the fireplace, sharpening the knife in his hand while talking to the other dwarf who had just arrived at his superior's place.

"Leaders, the humans are arrogant, they even look down on our race. They came only with low-quality equipment, and look at all of them easily defeated by the patrol team guarding outside the settlement."

"The human race is indeed arrogant because many of them are not dragged in the flow of war, they survived large-scale spells during the war of the ancestors. For a long time they had been leading on this mainland, it was appropriate that the lowly race would become extremely arrogant and feel powerful."

The dwarves toasted with their own wine glasses and then laughed happily, not a single trace of anxiety appeared on them. Basically those dwarves were enjoying their return on the main continent, the place where they should be. This place was even more amazing than what their previous elders had told them, unlike the realm where they had been confined previously that was full of limitations, in this main continent all that was secluded was easily obtained.

They rejoice because they do not need to spend a lifetime eating plants and fruits alone, considering the stock of meat in nature where they were previously very little. Generally they only eat meat at certain times, such as only during their annual celebration or party. However, once they found their way back to the main continent they would no longer have to worry about the meat supplies in the storage warehouse. Until now they have accumulated at least several tons of spoiled meat from humans who live in the surrounding area.

"From those arrested, we managed to get a bit of information about this major continent. They called the appearance of this race of ours a dungeon-dwelling creature, a creature that had long disappeared from the mainland after the end of the great war between the alliance of gods and demons."

"The humans were indeed very cunning, they knew clearly that our dwarf race was in the same alliance when it came to helping the earlier gods fight against their enemies, but after a long time of sharing the suffering on the battlefield, they intend to expel us from this land?" The dwarf leader asked with a reddened face, he had actually drunk a lot of wine and ended up drunk in the middle of the celebration.

"Leaders, didn't they violate the alliance agreement? Does this main continent already have no god disciplining them?" One of the other goblins who was drunk asked his superior.

"Nobody knows of their whereabouts now. And one more thing, considering that our ancestral debt to one of the former gods has been repaid, there is no longer any peace agreement between our race and the humans. Let's say if they want the fire of war, believe us we are more than ready to fight. We are not a race that is easily oppressed!"
