Chapters 22. Schematic Behind The Scenes.
Iris changed clothes and released her disguise Artifacts. With, Iris' serious face said to Urs.
"Urs, have you been told where the meeting place is?"
"Duke Adrian Leandro said he would hire the Black Pearl Restaurant, to have a meeting. He also expected Duke Alastair's arrival to discuss the matter."
"The problem, about the surviving Legendary Beast eggs is a big deal. Adrian must be very worried." Alyssa says.
A Legendary Beast was equivalent to someone of Legendary realm. When mature, they could destroy a city easily it took three Mages, and a Legendary realm Warrior to defeat a single Legendary Beast without being seriously injured.
Iris, Lazarus and Alyssa approach Amarylis and Blossom.
"Grandfather, are we going to play again?" Blossom asked.
"Blossom, grandpa, have a business you have to be a good girl." Lazarus rubbed Blossom's head.
"alright... Blossom's gonna be a good girl." Blossom smile.
Lazarus and the others went to the Regulus Royal Family Inn, in search of Duke Alastair Regulus.
Lazarus finally arrived at a magnificent castle in sea blue. When Lazarus entered the inn gate, he was greeted by a large garden overgrown with various types of beautiful flowers.
"Saint Iris, Madam and master welcome." A maid welcomed them all.
"Diana... Are mom and dad home?" Blossom hugged the maid.
"Miss Blossom.. You can talk!" Diana was shocked so much that her mouth formed the letter O.
"I'm sorry Blossom, for always worrying Diana." Blossom smile.
Diana, has a beautiful face, blue irises and long wavy blonde hair. Also the most striking is the very beautiful breast shape.
Diana is too beautiful to be a servant, but Lazarus learns that Diana is a fire elemental magician of the Epic realm.
Diana was the second daughter of the Duke Garcia Royal Family of Avalon. Lazarus saved Diana from a murder plot. Diana became a travel companion of Lazarus. After Lazarus died, Diana became a servant of the nobleman Regulus to repay Lazarus.
"Diana, this is Grandpa Urs.." Blossom pulled out Diana's maid dress, then went towards Lazarus.
Diana watched the man in black armor in front of her. The man's face is similar to Lazarus's. However, the man had purple-colored Iris eyes and a long scar on his right cheek.
"Sir, my name is Diana." Diana slightly bowed with a red hue on her face.
'What am I thinking? Lazarus is dead.' Diana's inner.
"Did my name Urs. It's nice to meet such a beautiful woman as Miss Diana." Lazarus smiled, bowing slightly.
"Sufuku.. Mr. Urs has a very sweet mouth." Diana chuckled small.
Alyssa immediately held Urs' right hand, she Iri saw Urs' attitude towards Diana. Of course even though Alyssa was very confident in her beauty, Diana had something that made the Envy of all women.
"Diana, do you know where Alastair is?" Alyssa asked.
"Mrs Alyssa, Duke Alastair was having tea with Miss Cassandra, in the little cottage in the middle of the park." Diana replied.
"Thank you. and Diana can you not call me Madam? We've been friends for 34 years."
"Fufufu, Alright Alyssa." Diana chuckled small.
Diana guided everyone away to Duke Alastair's place. They, finally arrived at the beautiful little hut that was in the middle of the flower garden.
"Dad." Blossom ran towards Duke Alastair.
"My little princess!" Duke Alastair immediately took Blossom.
Duke Alastair noticed the attitude of Urs and everyone who looked extremely tense. Knowing something was off, Duke Alastair asked, "What mother has happened?"
Amaryllis immediately whispered something into Alastair's ear. Slowly Duke Alastair's expression changed then he glanced towards Lazarus.
"Urs, I'll help you! This matter is not only about you, but it also concerns the future, Lion Heart Empire." Duke Alastair said.
"Thank you, Mr. Alastair." Lazarus thanks Duke Alastair.
"Cassandra, I'll be home for dinner. You stay here and look after Blossom."
"Well, my husband I'll take care of Blossom." Cassandra smiled.
"Blossom, want to come!" Blossom yelling.
"Blossom, aren't you going to be a good girl? Grandpa's gonna be gone a little while after he gets home Grandpa's gonna give you a present." Lazarus says.
Hearing the word "gift" Blossom's eyes sparkled and said, "Grandfather Blossom will be a good girl!" Blossom smile.
After saying goodbye to Mrs Cassandra, Diana and Blossom. Lazarus and the others, went to the Black Pearl restaurant to negotiate with Duke Adrian Leandro.
"Mother, have you erased Blossom's memory?" Alastair asked.
"I, have erased Blossom's memory." Iris answered.
As Iris hugs Blossom, Iris uses Good Dream Rank C magic on Blossom.
Duke Alastair knew that if this news spread, there would be a huge commotion. Urs, will be targeted by many bad people who want to get Legendary Beast eggs.
Lazarus and the others arrived at the Black Pearl restaurant.
The Black Pearl restaurant is owned by Mrs Claire. They provide a variety of seafood.
"Your Majesty Duke Alastair, Madam and Duke Leandro have been waiting." A male guard the wolf Beastman bowed.
The Beastman man guided everyone to the meeting room, where Duke Adrian Leandro, Marquis Edgar Allan, and Madame Claire were waiting. Lazarus and the others sat at the prepared table.
"Mr Urs, we meet again... Thank you for all your help I'm so helped." Marquis Edgar smiled.
"No, Your Honor, I'm just giving you a little help." Lazarus smiled.
"Urs, does this have anything to do with the letter you sent Marquis Edgar?" Alyssa asked.
"It's all just a small matter." Lazarus answered.
"No!! You have solved a very big problem! Urs, you are not only helping the Allan region but all
eastern region, Lion Heart Empire. As the Duke of the Eastern region of Leandro, I am very grateful." Duke Leandro slightly bowed.
"Edgar, what did Urs do?" Iris asked.
"Urs, already sent a letter regarding Baron Smith, in the letter he told me everything that happened while at the Casino. Urs, said it was likely that Baron Smith had committed corruption and abused his power. But, there are likely many other nobles involved, so Urs, ask me to investigate now! Since Baron Smith's first son offended the Duke Regulus Family, it was certain that Baron Smith would seek the opinion of other Nobles of the same faction." Marquis Edgar Allan explained.
"Finally we can arrest all the Nobles involved, Baron Smith and his faction are raising very high taxes, selling illegal drugs, selling slaves without permits, and mining mana stones illegally." Duke Leandro continued.
"Urs, you're so cunning! You made Baron Kane Smith's son and Duke Regulus a decoy.. To catch a big fish." Claire smiled.
Everyone was staring at Lazarus, they didn't know there was such an easy way, to solve the problems in Allan's territory for many years.
"Your highness, not only are their sins, they also sow discord behind the scenes and murder?" Lazarus asked with serious eyes.
"Urs, what do you mean?" Marquis Edgar Allan asked.
"When I ate at the restaurant, I heard people talking about Mr. Alvin Smith, who always bought female slaves, but after being bought by Alvin all the female slaves were lost without news. Do you know what I mean?" Lazarus.
"Fuck!" Duke Alastair shouted.
They were now aware, The female slave who disappeared without news must have been played to death, by that man. To get rid of the evidence they kill him, throw him away and bury him or burn him somewhere.
"At first I thought it was all a rumor, but the moment I saw Alvin's nature with my own eyes I became more convinced. Not only that, when I spoke to a beggar, he said that he used to be a servant in the residence of a Baron, but that the Baron he served died during the civil war. Do you know the Baron?" Lazarus looked at Marquis Edgar seriously.
Marquis Edgar thought for a moment then his expression suddenly changed. "Baron Mark Carter! Baron Smith's territory borders Baron Mark Carter and Viscount Hall, but 2 years ago Baron Mark Carter's younger brother Clark Carter staged a coup and seized Baron Mark Carter's power!"
"It's all related! Although, in the civil war according to the rules of the Lion Heart Empire "Other nobles should not interfere." But civil war costs a lot. Where'd Clark get it?" Lazarus asked.
"According to the information I got, Clark was just a gambler and had no wealth whatsoever. Clark is also just a Swordman of the Elite realm in contrast to Mark who is the Swordman of the Grand Master realm, I also got information that Baron Kane Smith has always been involved in disputes with Baron Mark Carter." Marquis Edgar Allan glanced at Lazarus.
"All of this was aimed at capturing the Eastern region of the Lion Heart Empire, bit by bit, starting from the Allan region.. The Nobles killed those who stood in their way, building up their strength. But, this is done clandestinely behind the scenes."
Booms!
Marquis Edgar could not control his anger. He clasped the table until it shattered upon hearing Lazarus' explanation.
"I'm sorry!" Marquis Edgar apologized.
Although, Marquis Edgar and Duke Adrian were not fools, but they could not keep an eye on all their territory simultaneously.
"This matter is like a plague, which if not addressed as soon as not only Allan Region will be affected, but Leandro Region In fact, Lion Heart Empire will be affected." Lazarus says.
Lazarus knew that behind these Nobles there must be a high-ranking Nobles who arranged all of this.
"Urs, are you interested in becoming an advisor?" Duke Adrian Leandro made the offer.
'Urs, though, I've been a Duke for 300 years, I can't think as smart as you.' Inner Duke Adrian.
"I'm sorry, your majesty.. I still have a lot of unfinished business." Lazarus rejected Duke Adrian's offer.
"alright.. When that is your decision, come to Leandro County you will be welcomed as a guest of honor." Duke Adrian I gave a badge of the coat of arms of the House of Leandro Nobles to Lazarus.
Lazarus felt Dejavu then thanked Duke Leandro. "Thank you Your Majesty." Lazarus smiled.
"Call me lord/father, I happen to have a daughter who is about the same age as you." Duke Adrian smiled.
Alastair stared at Duke Adrian and Marquis Edgar. Blood is thicker than water. They both have the same nature.
'It took Blossom another 12 years to become an adult.. Waitaminute! I forgot someone.'
Duke Alastair glanced at Amarilis who was being fascinated by Urs' explanation.
'My sister is a beautiful woman. Although, she was already 31 years old but was the same age as Charlotte. For someone of the Epic Amaryllis realm, it would not grow old even though it was 70 years old.'
Duke Alastair's eyes twinkled looking towards Amarilis.
'Why suddenly the temperature in this room became cold.' Inner Amaryllis.
