LAZARUS REGULUS
Chaptre 62. Battle II.
The borders of the Pendragon Kingdom and the King Forest were vast grasslands overgrown with many grasses and weeds. All of the Combined Forces were ready to fight against the upcoming Beast Waves.
"Swooosh's."
Diana shot her arrow coated by fire magic towards the 3rd War Beast Brown Wolf who was watching not far from there. Diana's arrow hit the head of the 3-tailed War Beast Brown Wolf.
"Urs, we've killed all the beast scouts." Diana says.
"Alright, Anya Duchess it's time for your turn." Lazarus says.
"Young man! Take it easy .. Even though I am old I can make a solid fortress! When, I was young I was nicknamed Princess Of Fortress." Duchess Anya smiled.
"Earth Fortress's. Ice Fortress."
Duchess Anya, using her magic skill. To create 2 layers of fortress made of land and ice as high as 25 meters, with a width of 100 meters and a length of 75 meters surround the combined forces.
After creating the fort. Duchess Anya has a pale face. He, like losing a lot of mana while creating that fortress.
"Here, sit down and drink this potion! You are no longer young. You should have retired and left everything to Delia." Mr. Iefan handed over the mana Potion to Delia.
"Iefan, thank you." The Duchess Anya received a Potion from Mr. Iefan.
"Do you know Mrs Delia?" Lazarus asked.
"Urs, do you not know that Delia is my son and Anya?" Mr. Iefan asked.
"Are you husband and wife !?" Lazarus is shocked to learn that Duchess Anya and Mr. Iefan are Delia's parents.
"Young man, we've been married for 300 years! In fact, when we married Emperor Zephyra back then was present in our marriage. Don't you know it?"
"Ray and Delia at the time of being members of the Golden Lion Party, they hid their identities. Although, I already knew that Ray was part of the Zander Royal Family, but I as the writer did not know that Delia was the heir of the Elliot Royal Family. Meaning Ray is the daughter-in-law of Anya Duchess. Do all the Nobles of the Kingdom of Pendragon and the Avalon Empire have any ties? " inner Lazarus.
"Where's Donovan?" The Duchess asked.
"Grandmother, Grandpa Donovan, Miss Amarilis, Cathrine and Mr. Ellar are working on something on Urs' orders. He, will be back soon." Aland answered.
"Young man, what did you command them?" The Duchess asked.
"Cleaning." Lazarus answered.
"Young man, what do you mean?" The Duchess asked.
"Anya Duchess, did you know about Dog Hunter and Fisher?"
Duchess Anya nodded.
Duke Anya, widen her eyes. As an experienced person he already knew what was happening.
"Young man, you are terrible!"
*Away from the battle ground.
"Haha. Let's go back to helping the joint forces! I did not expect that this battle would be finished so easily. We'll benefit a lot from the scattered material." A man smiled broadly.
"Just kill everyone who's hurt and take all their loot. We'll get rich easily!" A man replied while licking his dagger Artifact.
"Duke Donovan, Mr. Ellar and all the leaders there are so stupid! Don't they know there are still members of ours who infiltrate and hear their conversations. Although, they were strong, but they were extremely stupid!"
"Giant Fire Spear!"
The Dog Hunter and Fisher who were in front were suddenly struck by a spear-shaped flame. They did not have time to dodge it and were burned by the fire.
"Ahhhhkp.. Put out this fire!" Shouts for the sake of shouting sounded.
All Dog Hunter and Fisher looked towards the attack. They, seeing a beautiful silver-haired woman and Duke Donovan head their way.
"Duke Donovan! How he's been here!" Someone shouted.
"We can't beat him! How does he know our plan! Master Gray, Red Spider, White Lion, Dark Tiger, your Rainbow Fish are warriors of the Epic realm! When we all work together we can beat Duke Donovan!" Someone glanced towards the leader of Dog Hunter and Fisher. However, those leaders had already fled first at high speed.
"How, we can all defeat Duke Donovan, that Ancient Giant! We better all run to save ourselves." A burly man with armor made from Black Lion's skin said.
"Hehehe, let them be Duke Donovan's obstacle, the most important thing is that I stay alive." A man in a gray robe said.
"Brother, I'll take care of all your wives when you die." A bald fat man with a red spider tattoo on his stomach said as he shed his tears.
"Haha. Fat man! You'll just enjoy their wives." An old lady in a rainbow dress said.
"Where is Dark Tiger? He and his group were the first to escape upon seeing Duke Donovan." White Lion said.
All the leaders of Dog Hunter and Fisher, except White Lion. Suddenly it stopped running away and stood frozen.
"Why, you guys shut up? Did you see any ghosts?" White Tiger said, then he also stood frozen.
They saw a lot of dead bodies in front of them. Not just a hundred people, but over a thousand people.
"You guys, look stronger than they're www." Cathrine smiled with armour, a face and a Dagger covered in blood.
"Miss Cathrine, get this over with and get back to the squad." Mr. Ellar walked beside Cathrine while carrying the corpse of Black Tiger, then threw it towards White Lion and the others.
Massacres happened.
"I haven't done something like this in a long time. Miss Amarilis, are you the daughter of Saint Iris? Your magic is powerful." Duke Donovan said as he cleaned his Great Sword.
"Sufuku. Grandpa, I'm just burning trash." Amarilis chuckles. Unlike Duke Donovan who wears blood-stained armor. Amarylis' armor and magic wand remained clean not splashed in the slightest bit of soil.
"Duke Donovan, Amaryllis nyawww.. Are you guys done www." Catherine waved towards Amaryllis.
"Cathrine, are you hurt?"
Ellar and Cathrine walked towards Duke Donovan and Amarilis. They, looking like someone who was seriously injured, were covered with a lot of blood. However, the blood was not theirs, but the blood of his enemy.
"Duke Donovan, I'm sorry that you've waited so long. They are stronger than I thought. So, I need more time to beat them." Ellar apologized.
"Haha. Young man, the ones you are fighting are the criminal leaders in the territory of the Pendragon Kingdom and the Avalon Empire. I was originally going to help you, but as unnecessary as expected of the Silver Storm Rank Legendary Artifact holder. You are so strong!" Duke Donovan laughed.
"Alright, after the Beast Waves are over we have to clean up all these corpses. I'm afraid there's a Necromancer or a Demon making use of all these corpses." Ellar says.
Duke Donovan and the others returned to the combined forces. The Beast Waves will happen in a moment. They, it only took an hour to slaughter the Dog Hunters and Fisher.
"Miss Amarilis, who's Urs The North?" Ellar asked.
"Urs, is my travel companion. I've only known Urs for a minute." Amaryllis answered.
"Urs, said to follow some of the men who got out of the squad after the strategy meeting. He said of the 3000 troops who left were Dog Hunter and Fisher. When they heard that the combined forces had the possibility of winning. They'll all be back. Sure enough over 1700 people are Dog Hunter and Fisher." Ellar says.
"Not only that. Urs, also set up a strategy to ambush them from the front and back. He also said to kill one of his leaders to intimidate the other. Wasn't that the strategy of a Veterans squad commander! Urs is fit to lead an army. He's also an expert in psychological warfare." Duke Donovan added.
"Urs, there's only one flaw." Amarilis says.
"Master Urs, very kind to his allies and very cruel to his enemies www.." Cathrine says.
"Arden and the 3 Count must have arrived! We should go there soon." Duke Donovan said.
Duke Donovan and the others arrived at the two layers of fortress made by Duke Anya. They, looking at the Black Mages who were making poison bombs led by Calvin and Ainsley. The archers monitoring from the top of the fort and all those with close combat jobs were preparing their weapons.
"Cathrine, are you done?"
"Miss Ainsley, I'm done. Where's Mr Urs nyawww?"
"Urs, in the front part of the fortress. With King Arden and the others."
Cathrine and the others went to Lazarus' place. They want to report that their mission is complete.
When they reached the front of the fort. They were very surprised to see the Arden King bound by a rope made of wood element magic and Epic Rank rope Artifacts. Beside him the Purgatory Tiger Lava and the Gold Dragon Evanthe silently watched over the Arden King not to break away.
The middle-aged man with long blonde hair with green irises and elongated scars in his eyes looked very resigned.
"Donovan, help me! I'm in a coup!"
Lava growled towards the King of Arden.
"Grandfather, and lord Ellar, are you done?" Aland, Freya and Lazarus approach Duke Donovan and the others.
"What happens when I'm not around?" Duke Donovan asked.
"Mr Donovan, the King of Arden wants to fight fairly. He, did not want to use poison and traps to fight against the Beast Waves." Lazarus answered.
Duke Donovan glanced at King Arden.
"Arden, have a knight soul! He definitely did not tolerate using dirty means in battle. He, the opposite of the Demon King who was in front of me," Inner Duke Donovan.
"Donovan, you must agree with me! When this strategy is used in war. This is not a war, but a massacre!" The King of Arden shouted.
"King Arden, we are not fighting against the humanoid race, but we are fighting the Beast Waves that have a number of times more than us!" Lazarus answered.
"Urs, you're so mean!" The King of Arden exclaimed.
"As a King you must think of your people! If we lose here some of the Kingdom of Pendragon will be destroyed! You can die as a Knight, but you don't think about your people and your family after you die!" Lazarus looked at the King of Arden with sharp eyes.
"I-I'm.."
"Please yourself! After that you can go to the battlefield." Lazarus left the King of Arden followed by Duke Donovan and the others.
"Urs, you will become the enemy of the Arden King and the Pendragon Kingdom after the Beast Waves are completed." Alyssa says.
"Is the Kingdom of Pendragon famous for justice. Dare to make someone who helps him an enemy?" Lazarus turned to look at Aland.
"I swear the Kingdom of Pendragon will not make you an enemy!" Aland replied with a slightly frightened expression.
Lazarus brought everyone to the top of the frontal fortress that was directly adjacent to the King's Forest.
"Earth Wall's. Ice Wall's. Wooden Wall's. Water River's. Earth Thorn's." All the Mages created walls and traps around the King Forest.
The Warriors who had been separated based on their jobs were already preparing to fight. The Archers and Mages were already on standby for air strikes above and below the fort.
They also saw vast mud puddles, trenches and deep holes camouflaged by vines. The river that was already blocked by a dam made of wood and earth was also an Epic realm fire mage that stood guard on each side of the area that the Beast could pass through.
"Donovan, you're finally back. Uhuk, uhuk, uhuk." Duchess Anya coughed with a pale face.
"Here, what happened?"
"I'm out of nowhere. I can't help much in the battle this time."
"We, have 45,000 troops and 9 people of Legendary realm and 1 Mythical Beast. I'm sure I can win this battle." Lazarus said, then remembered something.
"Wait on! I forgot something! When the Legendary Beast that led the Waves was over 20 and was not affected by the poison. We'll be sure to lose!" Inner Lazarus.
"Auuuu..."
"Grrrroooo."
The sounds of many different types of Beasts sounded. Everyone felt the ground shake. This was the drums of war a sign the Beast Wave was about to begin.
"Everyone! Ready to fight!" Sieg, Lazarus, and Duke Donovan shouted.
*Urs The Cruel. This nickname would become the nickname of Lazarus after the Beast Wave was completed.
