"Did Mr Dedri not choose wrongly? Why does he entrust his guard to a woman who has just undergone graduation? He doesn't even have work experience."
"I'm sure this company won't last long, if we keep that woman's position."
"I heard, she was a girl who didn't know her origin and grew up in an orphanage. I'm sure she's getting married to Mr. Ervin, just because she wants the property."
"That makes more sense anyway. In this day and age, anyone would marry a blind man, if not for his property."
"Basarly a cheap woman! I'm sure he was the one who used Mr. Dedrik to give his position to him. Women are shameless!"
Barrel exhaled heavily, as soon as it reached his room. The tightness and pain in his ears when he heard clearly all the insults from the employees and company officials, who talked about it openly. Although, currently Laras already occupies a position of Dedrik in the company, but there is no honor or even recognition from some employees and company officials.
It's been a week he's been working at the company, but his whereabouts seem invisible to some.
"Geez, I'm working for the company, but it's like I'm passing through a rump alley of mothers, hurting my skin for a long time" Laras said, sitting in his chair violently.
Who would stand it if every day he was blatantly insulted like that? Baras was still an ordinary human who had the limit of patience.
"It's a shame, here I am as a substitute for Mr. Dedrik. If not, I would have loved a pail of mouth, let it add pain all of you," muttered Laras, with a frowning forehead.
However, all that did not last long, when the sound of knocking on the door sounded and forced him to neutralize the look on his face complete with a wide smile on his lips.
"Come in" he said, followed by an open door and the presence of a woman in her late twenties.
"What's up, Ema?" tanya Laras once knew that it was Ema - the old secretary of Dedrik.
"I brought some files that the Madam had to sign," Ema said as she walked up to him and put all the files in her hands on the table.
Laras rounded his eyes, as soon as he saw the pile of files in front of him. "Ema, isn't this wrong? This much?"
"Yes, Madam. These are all reports from some of the divisions and clients we work with" Ema replied.
"Yes, I read it first. You can go back," nodded Laras while exhaling slowly. However, he had not had time to take the file in front of him, the door opened again to make Laras attention distracted.
"Rolland?" muttered Laras while looking at the man who was now smiling sweetly towards him.
"Hi sister-in-law? It seems like lately I've been so busy that I forgot to greet you," he said as he walked towards Laras in his casual style.
"Ah yes, I brought flowers for my dear brother-in-law," he continued, dropping the flowers on the Laras desk, and then just sitting in the front seat of Laras.
Baras was still silent, he even only glanced at the bouquet of flowers given by his sister-in-law.
"How does this room work? It must be comfortable, right?" asked Roland again with a faint grin.
Laras exhaled a slow breath while straightening his body, then spoke in a relaxed tone.
"Thank you for the adulation .. and the flowers too." Laras took a bouquet of flowers from Roland then shifted it, then took one of the files that had been passed on by Ema. Laras opened it while continuing his words.
"But, did you forget that this is working hours? So you should immediately return to your chair. I'm not a person who likes to eat blind paychecks."
Roland clenched his hands tightly when he heard the rambling words from Laras. His face turned crimson with hatred in the look of his eyes. The man stood up in a rough motion and immediately walked outside with a heavy footstroke and then closed the door tight, until the sound was deafening.
Laras shook his head slowly while smiling obliquely. His hand picked up the bouquet of flowers on the table then threw it into a trash can not far from where he was sitting.
"It's not polite!" mumbling slowly.

By late afternoon, Laras seemed to be walking out of the office. The driver who was in charge of transporting Laras immediately opened the car door for Laras. They left the office as usual.
However, without them noticing, someone seemed to be watching him with a sharp and hateful gaze.
"Calm Renita. I'm sure he'll give up soon. Where there is a human being who is resistant if treated unfairly by people who clearly have a position under him. That's the saddest insult." The man who was none other than Rolan, grinned sharply with a million plans inside his head to destroy Laras.
"Then, what's your next plan? asked Renita to turn her attention to Roland.
"If with this insults he can still survive, I have a next plan that will force him to give up and leave the company."
The two men threw each other a confident smile, with their next plan.

Laras threw his body on the sofa in the living room, he was really tired now and wanted to lay down for a while. His body was so limp as if his legs already had no bones.
"The irritated man was more tired than not sleeping for three days" he lamented, breathing tiredly and closing his eyes.
Meanwhile, without Laras knowing, Ervin seemed to be standing not far from him, until the man could hear everything that Laras was complaining about.
"Why him?" ask someone behind her. He was the driver in charge of delivering Laras to the office. Ervin at once assigned him to supervise Laras in the office.
"It seems that many of the officials and employees in the office have not been able to accept the whereabouts of Mrs. They banded together to corner and press the Madam for the Madam to surrender" replied the driver, named Hendri.
Ervin clenched his fists when he heard Hendri's explanation, he knew who was behind the mess.
"Alright, you can go back," Ervin said in a cold, pressing voice.
Slowly Ervin approached Laras who had fallen asleep on the sofa. Ervin sat on the single sofa and stayed there. The sound of breathing Laras sounding regularly made him know if the woman had slept.
Ervin exhaled softly while leaning back his body. There was a sense of compassion in his heart, when he found out that Laras was now so depressed in the office and it was caused by him.
"Sorry," he murmured so quietly, that perhaps only he himself could hear.

Ervin was still awake when the clock was even pointing at the number one. His head kept thinking about Hendri's remarks about Laras and Laras' reaction when he asked about the company over dinner.
"No problem, really. Everything's fine, I just need to be a little more adapted to the way the office works."
A cheerful tone of voice was clearly heard as the woman answered her question. He seems to be convincing Ervin if there is no problem in the office. Though, Ervin asked just to be sure, because he already knew everything from the beginning.
"Why is he hiding everything from me?" murmured Ervin with a frowning forehead.
His attention was diverted when he also realized that Laras had not come to his room after he had said to go back to Dedrik's study to work on the unfinished report.
"Gee!" Ervin finally picked up his wand and got out of bed, he then walked outside to look for Laras' whereabouts.
However, his steps came to a halt when he felt that someone was speaking from the end of the second-floor balcony.
Wh who? guamnya inwardly closed her bedroom door and locked it tightly.
Ervin began to step in search of the origin of the sound, to hear more clearly what the voice was talking about.
In minimal lighting, Ervin continued walking while sharpening his hearing. His heart was pounding, along with emotions that were starting to rise. Where do the guards go outside until someone escapes and sneaks into his house like this?
There is no fear at all even though Ervin has a deficiency. One they forget and don't know about. Due to his loss of vision, during these three years he honed the other four senses to help him stay alive.
His steps came to a halt when suddenly someone touched his shoulder from behind. His concentration was immediately crumpled up from being shocked by the sudden touch.
Who'sis that?
