"His condition has stabilized, his consciousness is recovering. Laras also did not suffer any complications due to the impact during the accident" said Aunt Joana. The doctor who had been caring for Laras, as well as the aunt of Dion.

"But why is it so difficult to move his body, even speaking only makes a soft sound?" ask Dion who is still worried about the state of Laras.

"Hold, Race. I beg you." I don't know how many times Dion said that word while looking at the back of the chair while confirming the state of Laras.

Driving at high speed in the rain, Dion stopped his car at one of the hospitals. A man in a doctor's uniform was waiting for him at the back door of the hospital with a cage on the side.

"Om making sure it's safe, right?" dion asked after moving Laras to the gurney.

"Father, all that helps are the confidants Om all," said the bespectacled middle-aged man. He was one of Dion's father's friends and his family's personal physician.

"Please save the madam. This is no ordinary accident." Herdi's last words again flashed in Dion's memory, as he waited for Laras who was being examined.

"Not a regular accident? So, anybody want to hurt Laras on purpose?" mumbling Dion. He no longer cared about his clothes that had been soiled with blood and wet with rainwater. His mind could not escape from Laras.

Not wanting to wait long, Dion immediately contacted one of his friends to find out about the accident that plagued Laras. A few days later, he also got information that made him angry instead of playing.

"The truck driver escaped, he's still a DPO until now. Therefore, the accident is still unclear, the motive and reason" said one of Dion's friends who he told to find out about the Laras accident a few days ago.

"How's the driver doing? Is he safe?" ask Dion again.

"He died on the way to the hospital."

"But, I got this while investigating about the Ervin family." The man with the pinched hair gave Dion some other information. Without asking, Dion turned his attention to a laptop screen that appeared to show some identity of the Alfredo family members.

"Investigate about his sister and stepmother, I'm suspicious of them" said Dion, who was immediately approved by his friend.

"I knew you were going to say that, so I did." Dion's friend said while showing Dion other information.

"Basar of greedy people. They do not even hesitate to get rid of what is an obstacle to get what they want, and Laras is their biggest obstacle. That's why they do this." Dion's furious not playing. It turns out that Ervin's family is very chaotic and far from happy.

"So you chose to bring me here?" ask Laras. He was not at all surprised by the story behind the accident that hit him. He was only sad because Herdi had to be a victim and die. Although they had not been together for long, Herdi was the only employee close to him after Dedrik.

"Yes. I'm sure they're still looking for you until now, because it was you who suddenly disappeared on the day of the accident."

The barrel could clearly see flashes of anger from Dion's face. He felt guilty for the man who had long been his best friend, because it had become a burden, even when he could not repay his feelings.

"Thank you, Yon. I don't know what to repay all your kindness with" said Laras with a sad look. He looked at the feet that until now he had not been able to use to walk. The barrel still has to rely on a wheelchair to move.

"You must be well and sound, that is all I want in return to me, Ras. Don't think about anything else, 'cause I've got it all." Dion chuckled at the end of his amulet. But he really meant it. Seeing Baras being able to heal and be healthy again was the thing he had been waiting for.

One drop of tears just fell soaked the reddish cheeks Laras. He was grateful to have a friend as good as Dion. Unlike other men who will have a grudge because of his love rejected, Dion instead became a guardian angel for him.

"I am your friend, Ras. If you doubt that, can you consider me a big brother? Yes, even though we only have a few months of age, but still, I'm older than you," Dion said with a sincere smile. His thumb lifted up wiping away the remaining tears on Laras cheeks with full of tenderness.

Laras smiled haru, hearing Dion's words, although it did sound a little funny. A Brother? Could it be that it could happen?

"So I have to call Brother?" laras asked with a smile, still feeling unfamiliar with the call. It was strange if he really had to consider Dion Brother, while all this time they were just him as an ordinary friend.

Dion did not immediately answer, he tilted his head to the right as if he was thinking hard and then stood up with a joke that made the laughter of the two air. "good too. So now I have a sister and will soon have a niece. Waw, that looks like fun!"

"Did you also find out about Ervin? How's it going now?" asked Laras after the laughter of the two died down.

Dion was instantly speechless, his face turning nonchalant before. I don't know what the man is hiding, but Laras knows something must be wrong here.

"Do you still want to go back to her?" dion asked in a voice that sounded cold.
