"What's going on, I hear there's a mess in the office?" ervin asked Hardi who came to report. The two are now in a secret workspace that Laras does not even know about the room.
"Yes, Sir. All of this happened because of Mr. Roland. He deliberately incited the families of the victims to demand more compensation to the company. In fact, the numbers are absurd." Roland replied with his head lowered deeply.
"He again?" furious Ervin. His hands clenched tightly until his veins appeared to protrude.
"God!" Ervin exhaled a coarse breath along with his face that turned in any direction. There was a bitter smile that appeared on his handsome face.
"So he hasn't given up yet?" murmured Ervin who even made his heart more irrigated.
Very painful, his heart seemed to crumble again for the umpteenth time. Getting angry? Hate it? Disappointed? Or even a love? I don't know which feeling makes Ervin feel so tight in the chest.
"Alright, you can come back," he said after a long time he only fell silent with a chaotic feeling.
"I'm sorry." Hardi exhaled softly then bent his body briefly before finally passing from the room, leaving Ervin who still wanted to twitch with his own feelings.
However, his attention was distracted when the phone in his pocket sounded ringing. Ervin took it, he knew who it was from, from a ring that was indeed different from the others.
"Young master, are you okay?"
His throat was choked, sore as if something was stuck there, when he heard a voice he had been missing for several weeks.
"Ekhm!" Ervin cleared his throat slowly before answering a question from Dedrik. The man who had been patiently accompanying her in her worst situation.
"Where have you just called me? I thought you had forgotten me" Ervin replied, like a sulking child.
His forehead puckered deeply, not liking when he heard a small ruckus from the end of the phone line.
"I'm sorry, young master. I'm pretty busy here" Dedrik said.
"Ck!" Ervin just clucked slowly.
"I hear, one of the warehouses is experiencing a famine?" asked Dedrik who immediately made Ervin again speechless with a face turned irritated.
"Without?" Ervin would have known, if no one would have reported all that so soon other than his wife.
"I did tell him to tell me what happened at the company, sir. You don't have to be mad at him" Dedrik replied, as if he knew Ervin would blame Laras for telling him.
Ervin did not answer, he just fell silent while rearranging his feelings.
"Young master ...." Dedrik paused his speech. The man hesitated to say a word that was already at the tip of the tongue.
"What?"
"Go back to the office, they need the young master. I'm afraid the Madam will not be able to deal with this problem" Dedrik continued with a single breath.
"Haha!" Ervin laughed loudly even though the water had been dammed in his eyes. "Where might a blind man like me be able to take care of the company, Dedrik. You don't go crazy."
"Young master can! I'm sure, the young master is able to do all that, even with the current circumstances," replied Dedrik confidently.
"Here you go, Dedrik, if you call me just to say that, you better not call me again!" Ervin was about to disconnect his telephony and Dedrik. However, the voice of someone who sounded familiar, made him undo his intentions.
"Already Dedrik, if indeed the blind boy did not want to hold the company, let it go. After all there was still Roland who would replace him running the company."
Ervin clenched his grip on his phone, he knew for sure whose voice it was. The father's young wife. The woman who had destroyed the household of her parents and taken all of her paternal affection away from her. Now, he wants the company to belong to his mother? Don't hope! Ervin swore he would not give up his mother's possessions to them, in any way.
"That, Ervin. Get Dedrik, I want to talk."
"Ervin, leave this to Roland. He'll help you solve the fire problem."
The heat, as if there was a fire burning Ervin's chest, was so painful that the man felt difficulty breathing.
"I won't give her anything!" press Ervin.
"You can't even see anything, how are you going to solve this problem, heh? You must know, if this all affects the image of the company in the public eye and that means it also affects the value of the stock!" alfredo's involuntary jolt even added to the wound in ERvin's heart.
"A person who does not know what it means to be loyal has no right to judge anyone, including me!" Ervin instantly turned off his phone as soon as he finished saying the word.
The phone in his hand he threw in any direction, until it ended in destruction. His hand hit his chest repeatedly, hoping the tightness could be cured.
"Basic greed! They were never even satisfied, after taking over the old man's company. Now, they want to seize Mother's company as well." Ervin clenched his teeth with reddened eyes.
"Akh!" Unable to stop the tightness in the chest, Ervin shouted hysterically while hitting the table with full force, then swept all the items on it without exception.
His chest rose and fell as the sound of breathing was heard hunting. Ervin straightened his body again and began to take his foot out of the room. His steps looked a little unsteady, similar to his tired heart and body.
Why is the world so unfair to her? Was He not satisfied with his first love and his vision at the same time? The beloved heart that will never be replaced. The woman who gave him life and loved him to the end of his life.
"Mother, Ervin's tired. Can Ervin give up?" his murmur was so soft, that it could only be heard by himself.
Drops of blood were visible on the floor, leaving red patches on that pure white marble. Following in the footsteps of the man who had been heartbroken for the umpteenth time.
"Oh my goodness, sir?!"
Laras, who was looking for Ervin's whereabouts, widened his eyes when he saw the man who looked chaotic, complete with blood dripping from one of his hands. She ran frantically towards a man who was none other than her husband.
"What is this, sir. Oh my God, you're hurt!" Baras panicked instead of playing, he immediately took Ervin's hand and led him to immediately sit on the bench. However, just now Laras was about to step his legs, his hand was first knocked down by Ervin until his body almost lost its balance.
Baras was silent with his eyes twitching softly, he stared fixedly at Ervin's sad-looking face and chaotic appearance. I don't know what happened to that man, until he became like this?
Not giving up, Laras tried to suppress his feelings. He again approached Ervin and grabbed his hand in a softer motion.
"Let me take care of the wound first yes, after that you can be angry again with me," said Laras with a voice so soft.
Slowly, Laras carried Ervin's hand towards the sofa not far from there, then led him to sit down. Simultaneously, a servant prepared a p3k box for Laras.
The woman just nodded slowly, as a sign of gratitude to the servant who had prepared everything, then put Ervin's hand on his lap.
"Hold a minute, it's a little sore" he said again, before starting to clean the wound on Ervin's hand and treat it.
Ervin was still speechless with his flat face, though his hands were a little jolted when he felt the pain from the medicine chosen by Laras to treat his wound.
Laras put on a smile while glancing at the glint of the husband's flat face. Although a moment ago, he was shocked and afraid of Ervin, but when he saw how unfortunate the fate of the man and all the childlike behavior, he was, being able to erase all his fears was replaced with sympathy and a sense of humor in his heart.
To him, Ervin was like a little boy who was struggling or even a tantrum, having lost something he loved so much. The man, just looking for attention and comfort from his surroundings that is difficult to understand with his feelings.
"Already," he said as he rubbed the bandage he had just put in Ervin's hand bandage.
"Ekhm .. m-thank you," murmured Ervin quietly.
A bright smile was instantly etched on the young girl's face. His cheeks even seemed to be blushing, just with a thank you from Ervin.
