"I-" Laras fell silent with a worried heart. What words are appropriate to describe her feelings at this time? He confusedly revealed.
"I can't forgive you" he said, ripping Ervin's heart apart in the blink of an eye.
"I know my fault for you is huge. But, can't you forgive me, Ras? I promise I'll fix everything. Whatever you ask of me, I will do, just as long as you can forgive me." Ervin groans, he's really desperate. The man no longer wants to lose the opportunity to be close and with the woman he loves.
"Then stay away from me" said Laras, turning his face away. Really, he did not want to waver anymore if until Ervin continued to be beside him.
"No! I beg you not to ask that of me, Ras." Ervin kept the food back and approached Laras, he held the two soft hands in full supplication.
"I want to do anything, but not to stay away from the three of you, Ras. You and your children are my goal. My life is only for you guys" Ervin said again with reddened eyes.
"You are the reason I survived and fought them, until now it can be at this point, Race. Your happiness is my only dream, but not to get away from you. I'm devastated without you, Ras," continued Ervin who continued to pander regardless of his pride in front of the woman he loved so much.
Baras is still silent. The woman hardened her heart, though water began to gather in her eyes.
"Eat and take medicine, I'm tired." Laras took off Ervin's hand and turned around to get out of Ervin's tent. However, his steps came to a halt when the sound of something falling behind him sounded.
Baras' eyes faded when he saw Ervin's collapsed body just below his feet. The man looked groaning softly with half his consciousness remaining.
"Ervin?" The barrel immediately went back to Ervin, he was again made surprised by Ervin's body temperature which felt increased.
"Don't stay with me, Ras." Ervin was still muttering in the rest of his consciousness.
"Let's go back to the mat, you have a fever." Laras chose to ignore Ervin's words and help the man to get up and go back to sleep on the mat to make it more comfortable. Laras's efforts sustained Ervin's body that was much larger than his.
Laras decides to help Ervin to prepare the compress in an attempt to lower the man's body temperature. Almost all night Laras spent in Ervin's tent to take care of him. He even fell asleep there, until he woke up when the morning had begun to approach.
The barrel again measured Ervin's body temperature when he himself had just woken up. A sigh of relief was heard when he saw that the man's body temperature had returned to normal.
"Good, now I can go back to the tent" he murmured when he saw the time that had shown five in the morning. Soon it's Nevan and Nessa's time to wake up, they'll freak out if they see it's not around the tent.
"By the line." Ervin who was disturbed by the Laras movement was also awakened. The barrel that was standing again turned on the man.
"I'm just making sure your fever has gone down, I'm going back to the tent" said Laras, trying to explain despite not getting any questions. However, his steps again came to a halt when Ervin's hand held him back.
"Thank you" the man muttered in a voice that still sounded raucous. Ervin tried to sit even though his whole body still feels sore.
"Just rest, I need to get to the tent because soon the kids will be up." Laras chose to divert the conversation, rather than having to answer Ervin's apology.
Not wanting to force Laras, Ervin nodded slowly while letting go of his hand. He stared at the departure of Laras which still felt painful for him. Again and again, the woman rejected him.
"You're staying in Ervin's tent?" The barrel steps came to a halt when Dion caught him in front of the tent.
"I-it .. last night he had a fever and his consciousness was decreasing, so I decided to compress him, but I fell asleep" answered Laras honestly. His movements looked clumsy to the point of Dion holding back his laughter. The sight of Laras who was nervous was something that was quite rare for him.
"Oh so? Want others is also okay, I can understand it," seduced Dion while raising his eyebrows.
"What's? Don't think anything like that, I won't do that" Laras replied, though he couldn't hide his reddened face.
"Eh, but where are you going to get the bag?" ask Laras who is now distracted by Dion's neat appearance with a big bag behind his back.
"I have to come back soon, there's a client who suddenly came and wanted to meet this morning also at the hotel. It's very important, so I can't refuse it. I've brought our gear and ordered breakfast for you. Please convey my apology to the children" explained Dion who again saw the clock coiled around his wrist. At first he wanted to leave last night, but he could not just go home without saying goodbye to Laras.
"Yes, you are careful on the road, it is still too early" Laras replied to a nod of his head by Dion.
Laras continued his steps after seeing Dion getting further away. The man was indeed very busy, so he could not do anything if there was an impromptu event like this now. As the sole heir to the family company, of course, his obligation is not only to his family, but also the survival of many employees who depend on life in his company.
After entering his tent, Laras chose to start packing the belongings of himself and the remaining children, not long after which Nevan and Nessa woke up. After cleaning themselves the three enjoy the morning in front of the tent by befriending tea and warm milk, while waiting for their breakfast to come.
The sun began to show itself when Laras could see Ervin out of his tent. Nevan and Nessa who also saw it immediately called the man to sit together.
Laras made a warm tea for Ervin when the man arrived in front of their tent and handed him over without a word.
"Thank you." Ervin received while staring at the face of Laras who was still without flat, even tend to avoid it.
"Where is lion? I haven't seen him since," asked Ervin after sipping camomile tea which still felt good for him. He smiled happily, when he found out that Laras had not forgotten his favorite.
"Uncle is home. Ordinary ... busy." Nessa replied with a funny style of speech that made Ervin look smiling while holding back anxiety.
"Will you come home with us, won't you, Mah?" The question escaped Nevan's tiny lips.
Laras' body stiffened, his mouth suddenly twisted, not knowing what answer he wanted.
"Maybe take a taxi." Ervin who saw the reaction of Laras immediately concluded that the woman objected if she had to be among them again.
"There are no taxis here" said Laras who again made Ervin speechless. He came here using a rental car which of course went straight back once he arrived. Now, he is also confused what to go back to if Laras does not give him a ride.
"Where's this? Where I don't have a car rental number here" Ervin murmured as he scratched the back of his head slowly.
