Laras began to make a presentation in front of the shareholders and company officials, about everything that had been planned for him and Ervin overnight. However, he had not had time to finish his presentation, the people continued to attack him with various questions that seemed to be cornering Laras.

"How can you do all this without adding to the company's losses?"

"If we follow the victim's family's wishes, it will only add to our losses!"

"This plan is a solution. It'll just add weight to our load to cover the loss."

"How could this stupid plan possibly happen? We will all refuse. You're gonna bankrupt the company?"

"This time the stock price has also begun to decline, you instead want us to agree to provide very large compensation to the victims? Hah, it doesn't make sense."

"Wouldn't we just charge those fools with a little drama? After all the police alone couldn't find the cause of the fire."

Baras was silent, his breathing felt choked because of all the dirty words that went out from those respectable middle-aged men. They even openly planned a slander and a scheming plan in public.

Lips Laras suddenly became a mute, he could no longer speak to argue. All this was too shocking for him who had only lived in simple circles. The barrel must pause to regulate its emotions and shock before it again begins to open its voice.

However, he had not had time to speak, suddenly Laras was again startled by a loud ear-splitting sound. Reflexes, Baras immediately turned to the source of the sound. Her eyes widened when she saw her husband now standing with reddened hands and hunting breaths.

"Ervin?" mumbled Laras in a very slow voice, so maybe only he could hear.

"My decision is unanimous. I'm holding this meeting not to ask for your consent, but to tell you. So, we don't take any advice!" ervin sharp said.

"Then, what if you lose? Isn't there at least something to guarantee? In any case, we will all bear the loss if you fail in this plan." Now Roland began to speak up with a contemptuous grin on his lips.

Laras stared intently at the relaxed face with Roland's slightly rancid expression. Indeed, of all that the man had done to him, these words made him understand, if he should be careful with his sister-in-law.

"I will resign from the position of CEO, if indeed this plan fails," Ervin broke up.

Everyone in the meeting room looked at each other with shocked faces. Even so, Laras could see some people seem to smile thinly.

"Meeting completed. Laras, let's get out of here." Ervin again said as he stood upright and prepared to receive the hand of the wife.

"T-but."

"By the line." The barrel that was about to refute, could only go back to shut its mouth, when Ervin's voice had already turned deep and cold. Really, the man looked creepy when his voice had changed.

"Alright," said Laras slowly, as he approached Ervin and took his hand.

Both of them chose to immediately leave the area of the room that felt so stuffy. Although Laras disagreed with the bet made by Ervin, he could not say at the moment. Seeing Ervin's face still looking tense, Laras chose to hold it for a while.

"Sir, isn't that too much? What if later we can't melt their hearts and renegotiate with the victims' guardians?"

Barrel exhaled a rough breath, it turned out that carrying Ervin was not the right thing. Instead of calming the shareholders and giving him relief, Ervin messed things up and added to the complicated business.

But, now you're giving me a very big bet, for something that even I'm not sure I'll be able to handle." Baras cupped his face. As tight as it felt in his chest, he wanted to help and return the favor of what the Ervin family had given him all along, but why did all this feel so difficult?

Ervin was speechless, his lips suddenly felt faint until it was difficult for him to move. Really, in the meeting room, he completely forgot the fact about Laras. He was too carried away by emotions because of their cornered speech to Laras. However, now to regret it was too late, he had already said it and now they had to face it all. There is no word to complain or give up. It was time for Ervin to fight again and for that, he needed Laras beside him.

"You don't believe me?" asked Ervin suddenly.

Laras looked up, he looked at Ervin with a look of despair. Really, at the moment he doesn't even know, what's the right decision if he believes in Ervin? Someone who can't even see anymore?

"I won't let anyone have Mother's legacy company. I'm sure we can beat them." Ervin held onto the shoulder of Laras, his face casting a hopeful look.

The barrel looked down with eyes on Ervin's face. I don't know what he has to do now, but maybe this is the way for Ervin to get excited again in taking care of the company. Now, one of his tasks will be successful soon. Right, eh?

"So you want to fight with me now? You want to go back to the company and beat them?" ask Baras with teary eyes. Suddenly his spirit just came back.

"Eum. You want to fight with me?" ervin asked with a faint smile.

"Yes, of course I want to. Let's beat them" nodded Laras with a single tear that escaped just soaking his cheek

"Thank you, Race. Thanks, because you've been willing to trust a useless man like me. I promise, I won't let you down." Ervin smiled widely, he subconsciously pulled Laras' body and held her so tightly. Really, since the accident that day, this was the first time, Ervin got the spirit back in his life.

Laras' body sculpting, Ervin's sudden demeanor, clearly made him shocked half to death, what else he was surprised by Ervin embracing him. It's not the first time, but it feels different. His heart even seemed to want to break out, so tight was the thump.

"That was before he had an accident and lost it all to depression. Now, he's not like someone who's useless." Roland who disliked the last expression immediately interrupted.

The atmosphere was awkward, all Roland's supporters looked at each other lyrically, when they saw the man staring intently ahead with his hands tightly clasped with a glass filled with wine.
